Vader was, at worst, a top five US wrestler of all time. An incredible big man who made nearly everyone he worked with better as a result of having been in the ring with him and a major draw for nearly every promotion he worked for except the one that had no goddamn clue what to do with him. Another one of my childhood heroes is gone and this was not what I wanted to come home from work to find. Godspeed big man.

In his prime, Vader was the best big man I've ever seen. He was the perfect combination of power and agility. I have fond memories of his matches with Cactus Jack, Sting, Ric Flair, and Ron Simmons. RIP Big Van Vader.

Sorry to hear about Vader. His matches with Cactus in WCW were awesome to watch, the brutality of them was something I'd never thought I would ever see in wrestling!

I was already a fan of Vader at that point but that feud also made me a fan of Foley.

As I said in the other thread, RIP. Saito was one of my favorites even though I only saw him at the tail end of his career. Hopefully he and Fuji can trade great stories again in heaven.
