Saturday 3/31
Men's Fatal Four
Lou Thesz D. John Pesek at 14:02 with the THESZ PRESS
This match featured not one, but TWO referee collisions, and a whole lot of great technical wrestling. After the first collision, Thesz did a lot of damage to Pesek and, fortunately for him, did not get disqualified. Pesek returned the favor during the second collision and began to mount a comeback, but this match would belong to Lou Thesz. Somewhat begrudgingly, the two warriors shook hands after the match, promising to meet again in the near future.
Fist D. Bryan Danielson at 4:41 after multiple applications of WEAPONS
Danielson started strong and scored two submission attempts in the first two minutes but Fist then began exploiting his height and weight advantage to subsequently beat down the smaller Danielson
Women's Fatal Four
Rhiannon D. Sassy Stephie at 4:08 with BANSHEE WAIL Fairly even match until about the four minute mark when Rhiannon ran over Stephie, then quickly hit the BANSHEE WAIL for the win and the spot in the final
AJ Lee D. Shann-Ra at 1:46 with the SHINING WIZARD An unexpectedly quick match as AJ Lee disorients Shann-Ra with a Hurricanrana, then almost immediately flattens her with the SHINING WIZARD for the win and the other spot in the final

I don't know what stats you're using but I think she'd be able to handle Rhiannon but the dice do make some interesting decisions.

THE BIG SLAM, WSLM – Saturday, April 7, 2018 University Of Dayton Arena, Dayton, OH
OPENING with Gavin Loudspeaker We see aerial footage of traffic coming into the parking lot of UD Arena Gavin says a New Day (no offense to Xavier, Kofi, or Big E) has dawned in wrestling You're watching THE BIG SLAM, WSLM, being broadcast on Fox Sports 1 as well as WSLM.com
IN THE RING It's WSLM Commissioner Jackie Fargo Jackie welcomes us to WSLM, The Big Slam Jackie says there have already been some changes Mauro Ranallo and Corey Graves were given new contracts with WWE, so they will not be a part of WSLM Jackie understands and wishes them all the best Jackie announces the only man he saw fit to replace them has signed on with WSLM Please welcome The Dean Of Wrestling Announcers – GORDON SOLIE
IN THE CROWD Crowd starts chant – GOR-DON SO-LIE – clap, clap, clap-clap-clap
BACK IN THE RING Gordon Solie comes to the ring, obviously touched by the love of the fans Gordon hugs Jackie Fargo and takes the mike
“Thank You! And welcome to The Big Slam, WSLM, here on Fox Sports 1 and WSLM.com. I'm your host, Gordon Solie. On the program tonight we'll have a double main event, as Rhiannon takes on Sassy Stephie, and Lou Thesz battles “Tiger Man” John Pesek. Let me bring in at this time to lend his expertise to the program a man that now serves as Head Referee for WSLM, and brother, they couldn't have picked a better one, six feet eight inches, 350 pounds of solid muscle, from the Galactic Wrestling Federation and now a part of WSLM, the man simply known as Massif (Massif heads to the ring), and as you can see, this man is simply an enormous force of nature (Massif enters the ring and shakes hands with Gordon). Welcome sir.”
“Thanks Gordon, it's great to be working with such a legend as yourself”
“Well thank you for the kind words. Over the past two weeks or so, WSLM did a blind draw on both rosters, male and female, and put 32 competitors from each roster into a single-elimination tournament, which resulted in AJ Lee and Fist becoming the first Universal champions of WSLM. For the benefit of those of you who did not get to see the tournament on WSLM.com, we have a video montage of some of the highlights from the tournaments. Let's take a look at that right now”
VIDEO MONTAGE PLAYS
IN THE ARENA “And there you see high above UD Arena on their thrones, so to speak, your current WSLM Women's Universal Champion, AJ Lee, and your current WSLM Universal Champion, the man known as Fist. They will see their first competition as champions in three weeks on FOX when they take on their respective #1 contenders, who will be determined in the next three weeks. Massif, let's talk about the format here at WSLM, as Commissioner Jackie Fargo has wanted to put his own stamp on it. We're not going to see managers, valets, or any extra personnel hanging around ringside, contests are going to be strictly one on one, and all issues will be decided inside the squared circle”
“That's right, Gordon, Jackie discussed it with me, we both agreed that was the way to go, and that's what we are doing. We have our own Ratings Committee and we do our ratings based on wins and losses, running on four week cycles. On the fourth week of each cycle, the #1 contender in each division will face the champion of that division for the championship in a one fall match.
“The action kicked off earlier tonight as the bottom four contenders in each bracket squared off, let's take a look at video highlights from those matches, right now
ALLISON DANGER D. TAYLOR MADE VIA REFEREE STOPPAGE AT 4:23 This match started in the ring but spent most of its time outside the ring, as it degenerated into a pier-six brawl very quickly. Allison Danger snaps and begins raining blows down upon Taylor Made outside the ring, and referee Danny Davis finally stops the match and awards it to Allison Danger
WILL OSPREAY D. SD JONES VIA PINFALL WITH THE STANDING SHOOTING STAR PRESS AT 2:07 Little to no offense shown at all by SD Jones in this match, as Ospreay nearly took the match in the first minute with the ESSEX DESTROYER. Though SD powered out, the move took a lot out of him, and Ospreay cruised to a relatively easy victory from that point on
IDA MAE MARTINEZ D. MADUSA MICELI VIA PINFALL WITH A DROPKICK AT 6:41 Referee Brady Boone keeping tight control on this match and not letting it get out of control outside the ring. The competitors spend the first minute or so in counters and reversals, then Ida Mae scores the first significant blows of the match with a corner whip and punches. Maduse comes back with a corner whip and running forearm, but on a second attempt gets dropped on the top rope. Ida Mae scores with several DROPKICKS for the pinfall afterward.
KYLE O'REILLY D. DAN SEVERN VIA DQ OUTSIDE THE RING AT 1:23 The action in this one quickly went outside as O'Reilly was the aggressor from the start. Severn receives the DQ for accidentally striking referee Heather Owens
ANNOUNCERS PODIUM
(Split screen shows our competitors for our first match as Gordon speaks)
“There you see Penelope Ford and Dangerous Denise Storm getting ready to do battle in the squared circle. Penelope Ford is a tough customer, but Denise Ford is NOT called Dangerous for nothing. Now let's head up to our ring announcer, Mr. Main Event himself, Gavin Loudspeaker”
PENELOPE FORD V. DENISE STORM Very uneventful match as both competitors were well matched. At about the 4:30 mark, Storm rocked Ford with a perfectly thrown chair straight to the face that caused Ford disorientation briefly. It was enough for Storm to bring the action back into the ring and immediately hit THUNDERSTORM for the victory WINNER – DENISE STORM at 5:10
JOHNNY KOBRA V. BOBBY EATON Kobra nearly ends this one early with a nerve grip, but Eaton escapes. They end up outside, where Eaton gets the DQ for ignoring referee's instructions at 1:06 WINNER – JOHNNY KOBRA via DQ
SHANN-RA V. SIMPLY LUSCIOUS Luscious gets in zero offense as Shann-Ra dominates in a short, brutal match WINNER – SHANN-RA at 1:55 with AMBUSCADE
MEN'S LOCKER ROOM
It's Bryan Danielson
“Fist, I haven't forgotten our last match, but when I get the first title shot against you, you'll wish I did. YES YES YES.......”
BRYAN DANIELSON VS QUASAR A spirited brawl that spent most of its time outside the ring, Quasar draws the DQ for pushing referee Morgan Dollar at 4:51 WINNER – BRYAN DANIELSON
RHIANNON VS SASSY STEPHIE The Women's Main Event saw a great back and forth match....which also ended up outside....and which also ended up in a DQ loss for Sassy Stephie. The crowd booed. WINNER – RHIANNON VIA DQ AT 7:47
LOU THESZ VS JOHN PESEK Lou Thesz comes out with a purpose, hitting a short arm scissors off the lockup, moving to a release power bomb and then hitting the GRECO ROMAN BACKDROP to get the pin in one minute flat WINNER – LOU THESZ
ANNOUNCERS PODIUM “And that's going to do it from right here in the legendary University Of Dayton Arena, home of the Dayton Flyers, for WSLM On FOX. On behalf of my broadcast partner Massif, I'm Gordon Solie, saying SO LONG from The Birthplace Of Aviation”

At a hastily arranged press conference on April 11 at UD Arena, regarding the aftermath of WSLM's debut on April 7, Owner Scott, Commissioner Jackie Fargo, and Head Referee Massif were all beseiged with phone calls from angry fans, sponsors, and the network over the poor showing of the card.
The final network rating for the show was a 1.1
There were a total of FOUR disqualifications on the card with three on the televised portion
Massif in particular was ripped over the performance of the referees in all the matches
As a result, Scott announced that FOX Sports 1 immediately terminated their relationship with WSLM
Scott then announced that he had reached an agreement with NBC Sports Network (NBCSN), who agreed to broadcast Scott's product under the following conditions.....
The name would be changed The roster of referees would be thinned down And the one point they would not waffle on.......Jackie Fargo would be relieved of his duties as commissioner....and rehired as a wrestler. Jackie Fargo jumped all over this one, with Scott's blessing
(You see, one of the top execs at NBCSN heard all the Jackie Fargo stories from his grandfather)
So they went to work. Scott announced that Fist and AJ Lee would be the first and last champions of WSLM. He gave them their title belts to keep. He also announced that based on the initial tournament brackets, there would be two battle royals consisting of 20 fighters each, one each for the men and women, of which FIST and AJ Lee would be a part of. All the fighters that made the Savage Sixteen of each tournament, plus the four best remaining fighters for each gender, would compose each battle royal. The winner of each battle royal would be crowned Universal Champion.
Scott then promoted Massif to General Manager and charged Massif with selecting six referees and two alternates based on preference and past performance. Massif chose Morgan Dollar, Tommy Young, Bronco Lubich, Brady Boone, Bryce Remsburg, and Max Ward, with Big Bossman and brand new referee Lou Skolnick as alternates.
Then came the name. Scott and Massif tossed around several names for consideration, until deciding on WARFARE (For Warriors, Athletes, Renegades, Fighters, And Rebels Extreme). A debut date of May 5 was announced, but, to get to that point, Scott and Massif decided that the battle royals would take place TODAY for the sporting press, with the winners becoming the inaugural WARFARE Universal Champions.
The gathered reporters for the press conference are invited to enjoy free lunch and drinks and be fans for a day, and are invited to cheer, boo, and catcall as they wish
