I was surprised but thrilled the Knights swept the Kings in the opening round, although I was also thankful the Knights did not get Minnesota in the first round since the Wild went 3-0 against the Knights this year. maddog1981, it looks like the Golden Knights next take on the Sharks. What percentage chance would you give the Vegas Golden Knights to defeat the San Jose Sharks? Not totally sure on that one. I'm not a Martin Jones believer by any stretch. I would say San Jose is a more well rounded and quicker team than the Kings but I don't know how I think this would shake out over the course of a 7 game series. I would say this one is going 6 or 7 games. I would say this is a toss up.

Also, I saw your Columbus Blue Jackets are doing well themselves up 2-1 in their series. Good luck to them!

All the way!!! guess who the 2nd vote was? On another note, my local WHL team the Everett Silvertips just advanced to the Championship round in their division (I have season tickets to these guys and have a blast at the hockey games). Can't wait for NHL here in Seattle and hoping to follow the Vegas script!

I think the expansion draft rules will be the same or at least similar, but I doubt Seattle will be able to draft a Hall of Fame goalie like Fleury (that guy is a machine as he showed once again tonight in the Western Conference Finals) or get such a steal of a deal like Vegas did when Columbus gave us a a 1st round pick and a 3rd round pick to take Karlsson (who turned into the 3rd leading goal scorer of the entire NHL) instead of some other player. LOL, who exactly was Columbus trying to protect so desperately? After this year, I think teams will be more careful with the next expansion draft. But even so, teams can only protect so any players and I believe Seattle will get a good and competitive starting roster.

Just one more series to becoming the most unlikely champions in years.
