So, as many of you may or may not know, Werner is having some computer woes, so this set is still coming just a bit delayed... so in the mean time, the next name is... JUMBO TSURUTAThis particular card is a bit of a collaborative effort with several people from my other site, and i think came out really well as a representation of his career as a whole I have the rough sketches for the set, but unfortunately i cannot apparently post any pics here, so for now you will have to take my word that these are going to be awesome!! YES! Im a gigabtic fan of Baba's All-Japan group from the 70's through on into the mid/late 90's just prior to the NOAH Exodus and have been wanting a Tsuruta card. Hopefully we can get a Tenryu card as well down the line as it'd be really awesome to potentially run a classic AJPW fed. LOW already has most of the Gaijin talent Baba often booked, now we just need more of his homegrown guys and its a wrap. Looking forward to this for real! |

The one and only... ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER!!! The stats for him are heavily influenced by the Olson's fantastic bootleg from way back (one of the first I used after getting the set with Brody), with a bit of my own twist on how i remember him (HUGELY impacted by his feud with Brody and his earlier work in Japan) |

Saw him and Bruiser beat the crap out of each other at a local state fair as a kid. It was so cool. First time I remember seeing blood in a match I was at. And tables used as a weapon. Or a fork. Etc...

Etc... Ha! That is awesome... I remember several shows like that with those 2. For me, I think it was old GCW, Brody was already there feuding with someone (Mulligan maybe?)... And then there was this HUGE and scarred-up black guy come in like a tornado and the 2 of them just about tore the place apart... and thus the love affair and man-crush began! So I figured with Brody in the first set, Mulligan in the 3rd... Hansen has a dynamic bootleg or 2 out there... Well, I should probably get Abby over here quickly and I just might have me a little 2 on 2 feud to perpetuate! |
