THC PRESENTS: RATTLER ROUNDUP #3
The announcer explains: "We have ourselves a rematch for the #1 Contenders for the THC Trios Challenge Titles, in a Triple Bullrope Match!! Also a special interview with our new Cosmic Warfare Champion Jim Londos and a 3rd attempt to settle some problems between the Buzz Sawyer and La Parka team and the Wayne Munn and Rufus Jones team... In A Cage!!! And now to the opener..."
Scott Norton, Stan Stasiak and Delirious def George Steele, Meng and Billy Kidman by DQ: George Steele's antics (or the Texas Referee's apparent lack of tolerance when it comes to Steele's antics) again cost his team. A series of great back and forth action and tags ended on the outside with Steele caught with a foreign object in his fist for a series of punches to Stasiak. The team of Steele, Meng and Kidman expressed their displeasure in the decision with a triple piledriver on the referee before the assault could be broken up. The referee was taken out on a stretcher and loaded into an ambulance.
Jim Londos (flanked by Duggan and the Mauler) came to the ring and explained that as Cosmic Warfare Champion, he would be afforded certain rights and privileges, as would his 2 associates, or he would be taking HIS Title and the 3 of them would be seeking gainful employment elsewhere. He made a list of demands (from first class travel accommodations and a private dressing room to private catering and masseuses. Duggan and the Mauler just kept nodding as Londos prattled on... til the lights went out for about 30 seconds. When the lights returned, Londos was trussed and gagged like a calf roping loser and Duggan and the Mauler were missing. A distorted voice from the heavens (or the PA) simply said... "Soon, Jimmy, soon..." as security rushed to untie Londos and the search for his Hitmen began...
#1 Contender's Triple Bullrope Match: The Highwaymen (Raines, Slater and Wagner) def Cactus Jack, Perro Aguayo and Mistico in a devious turn of events. Slater and Wagner came to ringside w/o Raines, claiming he was "nowhere to be found" and demanded a 2 on 2 match. The referee (after careful consideration for at least 4-5 seconds) said no way and called for a 2 on 3 handicap match. Slater was roped to both Mistico AND Cactus, while Wagner and Aguayo were roped. Obviously this didn't start well for the Highwaymen Lite and it looked like it would be a short match... and it was, after Raines came up from below the ring and Slater dived over the top rope, effectively eliminating 1 arm each from Mistico and Cactus. 1 arm doesn't leave a lot of great defense from a chair swinging psycho and with Aguayo literally tied up with Wagner outside the ring, a few chair shots was all that was needed for Slater to get the pin. Afterwards, the beatdown continued for several minutes before security could chase off the Highwaymen and get the bloodied and beaten losers stretchered to the back.
Cage Match: Buzz Sawyer and La Parka def Wayne Munn and Rufus R Jones in an absolute 5 star classic! Back and forth brawling, double teaming and blood, so much blood!!! These 4 men used the cage like a 3rd member of each team and just tried to generally maim each other. Almost 25 minutes of absolute wicked mayhem (17 combined PIN tokens) concluded when La Parka and Sawyer got Munn Tied up in the ropes with Sawyer's chain and were advancing on Jones with Parka's chair. From the back, Atlantis flew down to ringside, scaled the cage and grabbed the chair, holding both men at bay. Jones, looking quite relieved, placed his hand on Atlantis's shoulder... And got his head almost taken off with a Raven-worthy headshot. Atlantis celebrated with Parka and Sawyer as Munn finally got free and dragged his partner out of the ring and into the waiting hands of the ringside doctors, who called for another stretcher.
