GWF #137
2128.02 from Aethran War Dome
Ghena (w/ Abroz) defeated Gryt via pinfall (snake eyes) with a BRAIN BASHER. -- Tokens: Ghena 2 - Gryt 4
- Gryt was possibly overconfident after his victory over Alpha Female and was completely unprepared for Ghena's unorthodox style. Abroz joined Ghena to double team Gryt after the bell until Endgame rushed the ring and chased them away.
TRIPLE THREAT
Tharkas defeated Coven Black and Shoot. Tharkas pinned Shoot with an OBLITERATOR. -- Tokens: Tharkas 4 - Shoot 2 - Black 5
- Unable to keep up with the frantic pace, Tharkas nearly got left behind. Black attempted to take out both opponents with a suicide dive, but Tharkas managed to avoid the line of fire. Capitalizing on the opportunity, Tharkas brought Warriors Born one step closer to a title shot.
Hector and Gamemasters (Star Warrior & Thantos) defeated Bishop Hell and BD Arcana (Oracle & Zygon) via pinfall. Thantos pinned Oracle with a LEGEND LARIAT. -- Tokens: Oracle 2, Betrayer 2
- With Star Warrior and Thantos still experiencing major trust issues, Hector displayed some serious leadership by jumping right into the middle of this fight. His team rallied around him, resulting in a much needed victory.
TRIPLE THREAT
Clinch defeated Balaal and Thraxx. Clinch pinned Thraxx with a SUPER COMBO KO. -- Tokens: Clinch 1 - Thraxx 2 - Balaal 1
- Picking his spots with precision, Clinch patiently waited for just the right moment to strike. As a result, there was some confusion regarding the number one contender spot for the tag belts. Commissioner Euritar declared that Warriors Born would challenge BD Spellbound first with TUF facing the winners.
GWF Interplanetary Title Match
Ensor defeated Payback via pinfall with an ERUPTION OF THARSIS. -- Tokens: Ensor 2 - Payback 1
- The action moved at a blistering pace with Ensor stunning Payback with a high impact counter out of nowhere. Latching onto the title belt like it was a life preserver, Ensor disappeared before the decision was even officially announced.
Ensor won the GWF Interplanetary Championship.
Immortals (Sur & Bex w/ Abroz) defeated Gladiators of Aethra (Rush & Turmoil w/ The Leveler) via submission. Bex gained submission over Rush with a GROUND ZERO. -- Tokens: Sur 1, Bex 1 - Rush 3
- Although they primarily worked as individuals instead of a cohesive unit, there was no ignoring the technical ability of Sur and Bex as they methodically took apart one of the toughest teams in the promotion. Before The Leveler had a chance to get involved, Ghena showed up and struck it repeatedly with a metal rod.
Nosfera defeated Paganax via pinfall (snake eyes) with a SPRING HEEL KICK. -- Tokens: n/a
- Omen was lurking near ringside, but his presence did not have its intended effect. Rebounding off the ropes, Paganax telegraphed his next move and Nosfera countered to bring this contest to an abrupt end. Cursing his misfortune, Omen fled with Nosfera in pursuit.
End of Days (w/ Abroz) defeated Psi (w/ HelSin) via pinfall with an UNLIMITED POWER. -- Tokens: EoD 6 - Psi 4
- A preemptive strike and an assist by HelSin helped Psi gain a solid advantage. End of Days shrugged off everything in Psi's arsenal before claiming a brutal debut victory. Pleased with the outcome, Abroz told HelSin that he was next.
BD Revolution (Alpha Female & Havoc) defeated Harbinger & Monolith via pinfall. Havoc pinned Monolith with a COSMIC NIGHTMARE. -- Tokens: Monolith 3
- Despite some prematch encouragement from Guardian, it was evident that Harbinger and Monolith were unable to adapt to their current situation. In fact, Monolith started the match and did not make a single attempt to tag his partner. Recovering from a string of recent setbacks, Alpha Female and Havoc exploited the lack of trust to secure an important win. Endgame greeted Harbinger and Monolith in the backstage area. They were joined by Guardian, who made a suggestion that caused Monolith to storm away as Harbinger watched in silence.
GWF Universal Heavyweight Title Match
Swarm defeated Aethran Overmaster (w/ The Leveler) via pinfall with a VENEMOUS STINGER. -- Tokens: Swarm 5 - Overmaster 3
- Both men pulled out all the stops, narrowly avoiding disqualification in this seesaw battle. Relying on sheer determination, Swarm refused to stay down. It looked like The Leveler was about to fire its energy beam, but the earlier assault by Ghena had damaged its targeting system. Overmaster was confused by the bodyguard's behavior, providing Swarm with just the opening he needed. Watching from backstage, Guardian and Endgame reached a decision. They agreed that only a powerful alliance could stop Black Death and it would have to include the Aethrans.
Swarm won the GWF Universal Heavyweight Championship. (2)
