Even though I have never played anything pre-2087, the Estorians have always intrigued me... Very excited to see them against the Greeks... Nice lineup!

Even though I have never played anything pre-2087, the Estorians have always intrigued me... Very excited to see them against the Greeks... Nice lineup! Mornin Pariah! I was jazzed to when I saw The Estorians as the number rolled. Although I gotta say this is going to be a tough match for me to root for. Will be both happy and sad at the results of this one! Since my favorite superhero of all time is The Thing, The Estorians were love at first sight. In The Secret Wars, there will be two tag teams from the Classics era and then later on, two more really serious teams will form once they loose in singles competition. From the sets I have (2074 & 2079) they are my favorite team hands down. But very glad this 2nd card looks good. Always enjoy and am thankful for your support brotherman!

The Estorians are a very interesting team for sure. Mornin TTX! I couldn't agree with you more. Tag team stat wise what would you say, somewhere in the between upper level mid-carder / lower level headliner pocket? But I do enjoy watching these guys in action. Them paired up against The Greeks sure is a tough one for me though, especially on the heels of the way The Greeks came back from behind against The Midnight Express. That victory was my favorite of event # 1. As a peek behind the curtain: When Stan Lane rolled a pin save after Proteus's finisher had Lane down for the count and got a 10, 10 on the Pin Save Chart always signifies (to me) that in this case (the fatigued Actagon) was just barely able to prevent interference. So I saw it that he sacrificed his own body for the team. Like a defenseman who lies down in front of a puck shot at the goal. Anywho, in the words of Joey from Friends..."But I di-gest". You're comments and support are always valued my friend!

About right.....they fit in perfectly with their era...they'd have trouble against some of the more modern teams.

The Gladiators of the Secret Wars...Event 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From Castilex Colosseum...A well lit arena, in which the sounds of the contests all have somewhat of an echo, depending upon the force or severity of any maneuver...giving some power moves an almost mythic sound.
GODSEND and GWF Commissioner Eydilon take their seats...
This evenings competitions take place under a cloudy but moonlit sky.
Ominous War Drums alert all of tonights combatants that tonights contests are about to begin...
----------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Women - Blood Rose (c) vs. Scorn: -----------------------------------------------------------------
" A Vampiress vs. Ferocious Faith "
Scorn jumped a second before the bell rang and came at Blood Rose with everything she had, a powerful offense that peaked with her executing her finisher A WOMAN SCORNED - a Torture Rack Backbreaker submission. Scorn tried to continue her offense but she suddenly walked right into a Left Uppercut Punch that knocked her completely off her feet. From that point on she wasn't the same, although she showed tremendous heart, the champion eventually grabbed her bloodied opponent and hit her finisher for a second time...
Blood Rose forced Scorn to submit to her finisher A ROSES THORN - An Asian Spike Nerve Hold at a time of 14:15.
(Scorn was later treated after the match for a fractured jaw).
▪ Blood Rose Retains The Women's Championship - A Successful Version One Title Defense!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Cruiserweights - Johnny Gargano (c) vs. Snafu -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
" Johnny Wrestling vs. Self Loathing "
Much like the opening contest, the challenger Snafu went full force at the champion Johnny Gargano and looked dominant for the first 4 minutes or so, peaking at an application of his SNAFU TOEHOLD FACELOCK finisher. But soon after that the match became a psychodrama after Snafu lost a ringside brawl; he proceeded to hit himself in the head with a Steel Chair and soon after ran himself head first into the ring post. Snafu showed a tremendous amount of endurance but also a deeply disturbed personality for the next 20 minutes of this nightmare...
Johnny Gargano forced Snafu to submit to his GARGANO ESCAPE finisher - an Over The Shoulder Crossface at a time of 24:27
(Before things could get even more warped, Gargano insisted upon immediate medical attention for his profoundly bloodied challenger at ringside).
▪ Johnny Gargano Retains The Cruiserweight Championship - A Successful Version One Title Defense!
-------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Tag Teams - The Greek Gods (c) vs. The Estorians: --------------------------------------------------------------------
"GWF Tag Legends vs. Concrete Competition"
Lots of verbal sparring between the teams started off what would ultimately become a very short match. The Estorians frustrated The Greek Gods via isolating Actagon within the ring and kept up persistent pressure via lightning fast tag work, which gave them the upperhand until the match spilled out of the ring. During a ringside brawl between Actagon and Tantalis, it got real ugly real quick especially when Actagon picked up the Steel Ringside Steps...
The Estorians defeated The Greek Gods via disqualification. Actagon was disqualified for slamming a prone Tantalis on the head and chest with the Steel Ringside Steps at a time of 2:57.
(After more taunts of "Paper Champions" by The Estorians, another ringside brawl broke out involving all four wrestlers...security eventually broke it up).
▪ The Greek Gods Retain The Tag Team Championship via a Technical Decision - A Successful Version One Title Defense!
--------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Heavyweights - Aegis (c) vs. Mayhem Unleashed: ----------------------------------------------------------------------
"The Rampart of Centra vs. Blind Aggression"
Aegis controlled the offense in this one via multipe Brainbuster Suplexes and Inverted DDT's, resulting in near falls and subsequently a retreat by Mayhem Unleashed through the ropes. Outside the ring, Mathem Unleashed went ballistic, blasting Aegis with a Steel Chair and brutally pummeling him senseless. Mayhem Unleashed dragged him by his ankles back into the ring, mounted the ropes, howled like an animal and hit his finisher...
Mayhem Unleashed pinned Aegis after his LEAP OF DOOM finisher - A Top Rope Flying Head Butt at the 8:08 mark.
▪ Mayhem Unleashed is The New Heavyweight Champion!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Coming up next:
Event 3 Match - Ups
Hope all is good.

Very cool that Gargano and the Greeks were able to retain... Impressed with Mayhem Unleashed... Did not expect him to get past Aegis... Fun stuff!
