I like to think we all look for different things and go through phases, but what do you look for most when reading other promoters feds?
And what do you try to get over most of all when writing your own fed?
For me it's playing card results. Who won and how? Who is performing as planned? Who isn't living up to the hype? Who is making a surprise run? Who is performing well in feds all over the galaxy? I love it. It's so much fun to go into a new year with expectations for the new cards and see how they do officially for promoters.
That's where my mind is now and has been for awhile. But there was also a time when I would really get into promoter created storylines - stories that were not officially in the book, not just storylines that the dice decide...
Those are my thoughts. What do you think?

Results are key. Anything else is gravy. Love seeing how my favorites do in other feds whether better or worse. For instance, Monolith is an awesome card but my dice (physical and digital) just seem to hate him...but for others, he's the #1 guy.

I love results, who beat who, and statistics. Mostly though I love reading other peoples feds who can really bring them to life with good writing, one thing I am not good at myself. One of these days Ill get around to posting my fed results just never know where to post them.

I look for two things, a fed with good storytelling and presentation. Due to having one good eye that has to make up for the eye that had a retina tear and detachment, reading just straight text of the same color hurts my eyes after a long while. When I write up my own results it normally takes me three hours or more to do them. Plus, I'm a graphics guy, so I like to see peoples creativity with stories and graphics.

I put OTHER, referring to booking. I like to see more than just results. I want to see how someone builds a show from bottom to top (not every match should be main event caliber). How a feud/program is progressed (booking for the return). Building contenders to eventual confrontations (protecting the talent). All of these things are made more difficult by random rolls of the dice. This makes seeing how promoters book even more interesting.

I love good story telling without it dragging on. For me, my two favorite posters are Swarm and Vegas. Both of these guys are able to tell the story without me having to read a mile of text.
I like to read card results, but since I am one of the few that runs a GWFZ fed, I can not compare my results with others. I have no idea what is going on in the GWF these days but I still read those feds.
Aceldamas touched on something as well. I do like to see the booking of promoters. I like to see the build up to the finish.

I personally like to see a little bit of color in results. I find it makes things a little easier to read. Adding in images and video's are also a bonus in my eyes.
I've experimented with many of the things I've mentioned above and will probably continue to do so as I post my results. One thing I do have to improve on is running angles in my fed as I tend to be more W/L orientated. When I am booking my shows I really should look up the last time people faced off and try to build off that encounter.

Good story telling, creativity, hot action, surprises and creative use of talent. I don't like reading just results, e.g "Lou Thesz beat Iron Sheik with a Thesz press." I like to hear from the wrestlers, I like it when they are given a voice. I like to see surprises, upsets, glory and failure and I like to see how bookers manage the unexpected. I like history too!
I also like to see story lines involving guys n gals up and down the card, so I can get invested in different people.
There are a lot of great, well written feds on the board and there is probably something for everyone. If just results is your thing then great!
