Really enjoying the Villain's run with the LOW Jr Heavyweight belt and hoping he manages to hold onto it for awhile longer... Thesz scores a big win over Hack and keeps himself at the top of the GAW rankings... As previously stated by bookerbill, it was fun to see the callback to this history between these two great competitors... Wondering how long before we see Thesz challenge the P1 for the top prize... Excellent work, as always!

I like the idea of Crusher and Dick Hutton teaming up on the regular.
Also, I like Terrible Turk and Bull Curry!

Thanks for all of the comments on the Golden Age Wrestling show guys. I haven't been dice rolling or doing much of anything lately due to a really bad ear infection, complete with wonderful pulsing sounds in my head. I just wanted to let you know why I haven't been posting any new shows or commenting on other feds. I have been reading, though, and enjoying the many great fed posts on the board. I hope to recover from this soon and get back to normal because it has been unbearable.

Hey cruefan68! Sorry to hear brother. Ear infections should only happen to assholes, and then it should be both ears. I had a feeling it had to be something heavy to keep you off the boards. Good hearing from you man and not to worry. We will already be in the seats when the lights go on. Feel better.

Thanks for the support guys. I'm still not feeling a hundred percent so I'm resting instead of posting much, or dice rolling for that matter. I did finish my latest card so I'm going to post it now. Hopefully I can get back to normal soon because it does really suck.

SHIMMER - Women Athletes - Volume 53 - The Eagles Club - Berywn, IL (Card #1218)
* SHIMMER promoter Dave Prazak opened the show standing alongside Canadian Ninjas member Nicole Matthews with the two having to deliver some unfortunate news. Matthews took over and delivered an emotional tribute to her partner Portia Perez, recounting their record six reigns as SHIMMER tag team champions. She then revealed that the LOW Board of Directors, after conferring with doctors, have ordered Perez to retire due to the concussion injury she suffered at the hands of the current champions Crazy Mary Dobson & Courtney Rush. The crowd gasped as Matthews held back tears forcing Prazak to take over.
He said that the actions of Dobson and Rush are inexcusable and that his initial decision was to strip them of the titles and suspend them indefinitely but then he received a video sent to SHIMMER offices by Perez. In the video, which was played in The Eagles Club, Perez said that she had no regrets and that she, like Nicole, is a fighter and that nothing will stop a Canadian Ninja from getting the job done. She implored Prazak to rethink his decision and give Matthews a chance to go forward with a new partner and get the belts back.
Once the video ended, Prazak said he took those words to heart and offered Matthews the opportunity to select a “mystery partner” to go against Dobson and Rush for the titles at Volume 53. Matthews accepted the offer and said that she was ready to name her partner at which point SHIMMER newcomer Thunder Rosa hit the ring. The face painted luchadora, who comes to SHIMMER with a ton of potential, said that she was ready to grab the gold. Matthews thanked her for the offer but said that she had already selected a partner which brought out none other than Tessa Blanchard! The third-generation star took to the ring and stared down Rosa before going to shake hands with Matthews. Prazak said that it was official, and that Matthews & Blanchard would indeed challenge Dobson & Rush for the titles later tonight. The three then left the ring leaving a now angry Thunder Rosa behind…
Quick Results:
1) Candice LeRae defeated Shotzi Blackheart (Pinfall – Balls Plex)
2) MsChif defeated Priscilla Kelly (Pinfall – Desecrater, a scissored DDT)
3) Chelsea Green defeated Cat Power (Pinfall – Unprettier)
4) Jessicka Havok & Vanessa Kraven defeated Madison Eagles & Saraya Knight (Jessicka Havok pinned Madison Eagles – Snake Eyes – Triple Kick Combo)
5) Loser Leaves SHIMMER Match: Angelus Layne defeated “Queen of Spades” Shayna Baszler forcing Baszler to leave SHIMMER (Pinfall – Bing Bang, an over the knee backbreaker into a flatliner)
6) Heart of SHIMMER title: Jordynne Grace defeated Barbi Hayden (with Mademoiselle Rachelle) to win the title (Pinfall – Fall From Grace, a Liger Bomb)
7) SHIMMER tag team titles: Crazy Mary Dobson & Courtney Rush© defeated Nicole Matthews & Tessa Blanchard to retain the titles (Crazy Mary Dobson pinned Nicole Matthews – Kaiju Killer, a split-legged moonsault)
8) SHIMMER title: Sara Del Ray© defeated Nicole Savoy to retain the title (Pinfall – Royal Butterfly)
Match Highlights: A hard hitting main event saw rising star Nicole Savoy challenger Sara Del Ray for the SHIMMER title. It was the first SHIMMER championship opportunity for Savoy, who went into the match undefeated in singles competition, and she made the most of it. Del Ray was dominant early and caught Savoy in the Cross Arm Breaker but she got to the ropes for a break. Savoy battled back and used both the SAvo Lock and the Dragon Suplex on Del Ray, the latter of which resulted in a big near fall. Del Ray came back with another Cross Arm Breaker and then hit the Royal Butterfly for a big near fall of her own. During a battle on the outside, Savoy was busted open when Del Ray ran her into the guard rail. The blood loss did not deter Savoy and she kept coming back, even kicking out of another Royal Butterfly. Savoy also got the Savo Lock on again but Del Ray was able to get a rope break. Del Ray would hit a third Royall Butterfly but again Savoy kicked out drawing a big pop from the crowd. It took a fourth delivery of the Royal Butterfly to end it as Del Ray covered the bloody Savoy to score the pin. It was a successful version one defense of the title for Del Ray who knew she was in a war. Del Ray helped Savoy up afterward and the two embraced drawing cheers from the crowd.
Crazy Mary Dobson & Courtney Rush fended off a strong challenge from Nicole Matthews & Tessa Blanchard to retain the SHIMMER tag team titles in their version one defense of the belts. The heat was off the charts for this one as Matthews was looking to avenge the career-ending injury to Portia Perez at the hands of the champions and seemed to make a fine selection in Blanchard to aid her cause. The challengers were on the same page during the match and worked great together despite it being their first time working as a team. A controversial moment came when Matthews hit the Vancouver Maneuver, a rolling cutter, on Rush but the pin was broken up when Thunder Rosa showed up pulling the referee out of the ring. Rosa, obviously feeling spurned by Matthews earlier decision to select Blanchard over her, possibly cost Matthews a seventh SHIMMER tag team title win. Rosa was ejected from ringside by the referee but the damage was done. Rush came back using the blue mist on Matthews setting up a Kaiju Killer by Dobson for a big near fall. Blanchard helped rally her team and nearly pinned Dobson with a hammerlock DDT but Rush made the save. The finishing sequence saw Dobson deliver a headbutt on Matthews using her hockey mask, which was missed by the referee, and she followed up with another Kaiju Killer to score the pin.
The crowd jeered the decision as Rosa returned and assisted Dobson and Rush out of the ring possibly signaling a working relationship between the three. Blanchard, meanwhile, was not happy with the loss and blamed it on Matthews when Amber Gertner interviewed her at ringside. Matthews took exception to that and the two got into a heated argument that turned into a shoving match before SHIMMER officials separated them. It was later learned that Blanchard challenged Matthews to a match which has been officially confirmed for Volume 54.
Jordynne Grace, one-half of former SHIMMER tag team champions Team PAWG with Lufisto, shocked everyone as she dethroned Barbi Hayden to become the new Heart of SHIMMER champion. Hayden, part of “Blonde, Red and Bad Ass” with Taeler Hendrix and Kelly Klein, was accompanied by Mademoiselle Rachelle and looked extremely confident during the ring introductions. She entered with a solid run as champion, having successfully defended the belt three times, and perhaps overlooked Grace who has competed mainly in tag team action since arriving in SHIMMER. Hayden scored a two count early with a swinging neckbreaker before Grace nailed her with a Backpack Stunner resulting in a big near fall. Grace then took over with some powerful attacks resulting in Rachelle having to interfere when she had Hayden pinned after a spinebuster. Hayden was also busted open during a brawl outside the ring and even tried to get herself counted out but Grace tossed her back into the ring. Hendrix and Klein attempted to head to the ring late but were cut off by a chair wielding Lufisto in the aisle. That helped set up the finish as Grace nailed Hayden with Fall From Grace, her version of the Liger Bomb, to score the title winning pin. The crowd erupted in cheers as Lufisto grabbed the title belt and rushed the ring celebrating with Grace, the new Heart of SHIMMER champion. The bloody Hayden, meanwhile, had to be assisted to the back as Rachelle cried foul over the result.
Angelus Layne scored the biggest win of her SHIMMER career when she defeated her former ally the “Queen of Spades” Shayna Baszler in a Loser Leaves SHIMMER Match. It was a monumental victory for Layne and ended a recent disappointing run for Baszler with multiple losses to Nicole Savoy which she blamed on Layne leading to them splitting up at Volume 52 and agreeing to face each other in this match. Baszler dominated much of the early action and nearly put Layne away with the power bomb and Arm Bar. Layne battled back and executed Bing Bang Boom, her version of the Koji Clutch, resulting in a submission chance but Baszler made her way to the ropes. Baszler poured it on late but Layne fought back refusing to go down. The finish saw Layne drill Baszler with a full nelson bomb before executing Bing Bang, a variation of the flatliner, to score the pin. The crowd erupted in cheers for Layne while Baszler looked on stunned over the result. Baszler rolled out of the ring and angrily tore up the ringside area while the fans serenaded her with chants of “Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Hey Hey, Goodybye!”
In other action…
The expected tag team war between “The Punisher” Madison Eagles & “Sweet” Saraya Knight and “The Havok Death Machine” Jessicka Havok & “The Mountain” Vanessa Kraven more than lived up to the hype. Knight has seemingly changed her colors in recent months by first aligning with Davina Rose and now with Eagles but deep down she is still the same intense brawler who has her own reasons to hate Havok going back to their wars over the SHIMMER title. Eagles is perhaps even more angry at Havok and her ally Kraven who recently injured her which had a direct effect on her losing the SHIMMER title. Things boiled over in this one with all four women trading blows in and out of the ring. It built to a heated finish where Havok flattened Eagles with a counter flying tackle off the ropes and then nailed her with a Triple Kick Combo resulting in a snake eyes pin. That didn’t end it, though, as Knight grabbed a chair and battered both Havok and Kraven with the weapon before Eagles joined in driving the pair out of the ring. Eagles grabbed the mic post-match and said this was far from over and challenged Havok and Kraven to a Falls Count Anywhere Match at Volume 54 which promoter Dave Prazak promised that he would deliver.
A challenge match between Canadian stars Cat Power and Chelsea Green, coming out of a tag team battle at Volume 52, saw both women go all out looking to score the victory. This one get intense with some heated exchanges both in and out of the ring. Green went on a great offensive midway through hitting the hangman DDT and flipping neck snap for near falls. Cat Power muscled her way back into it drawing on her veteran experience to keep pace with Green. A big Death Valley Driver shook up Green causing her to bail out of the ring. Cat Power followed with a barrage of running clotheslines before a corner counter by Green led to her hitting the Unprettier to score the pin.
A grudge match set up at Volume 52 saw two-time SHIMMER champion MsChif take on Priscilla Kelly, an impressive SHIMMER newcomer out of Bone Creek, GA. Having recently returned to SHIMMER after a long absence, MsChif is looking to take no prisoners and Kelly found that out the hard way. MsChif dominated most of the match before hitting her finisher, the Desecrater, for a big near fall. Kelly showed great fight kicking out there but MsChif followed with Gateway to Annihilation and a second Desecrater to score the pin.
The opening contest was a tense battle between the popular Candice LeRae and the “Ballsy Badass” Shotzi Blacheart, a highly touted newcomer to the SHIMMER ranks. It was all Blackheart early as she jumped LeRae during the ring introductions and even assaulted her outside the ring delivering a blow with her motorcycle helmet. She also scored two counts when on a missed deathjump by LeRae and then hitting the Black Lagoon cutter. LeRae struck back with the Balls Plex but Blackheart showed great resilience by kicking out at two. The finish saw LeRae in control on the outside before hitting another Balls Plex to score the pin. LeRae tried to shake hands with Blackheart post-match but she refused and left the ring.

1) Nicole Savoy 2) Barbi Hayden 3) Jessicka Havok 4) MsChif 5) Madison Eagles 6) Taeler Hendrix 7) Saraya Knight 8) Candice LeRae 9) Tessa Blanchard 10) Angelus Layne

Hey cruefan68! As our friend TTX said - definitely glad to see you back man. 1218 was awesome from top to bottom. What a main event. Nicole Savoy finally loses, but; 1. Not by much and 2. She kept getting up. Now the whole Canadian Ninja situation is a show unto itself for sure. You know, I know this isn't happening, but in spite of Perez retiring due to injuries, to one day see her make a comeback against the odds would be spectacular. Many aftershocks with this situation to say the least. Outstanding stuff Crue! And once again, feel better dude.
