NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo!!!!! Well, now that I've had time to decompress, I think I have come up with a satisfactory solution to this little dilemma... As a resident in good standing of the House that AJ Built, I have decided that I am simply not going to recognize Kenny Omega's title victory that occurred on card #1164 in Yokohama, Japan... ***MEANING: As far as my record books are concerned, AJ Styles held the LOW World Heavyweight Championship from the time he defeated Andre the Giant at card #1114 in Osaka, Japan until he lost to Buddy Rogers on card #1265 in Detroit, MI, USA... Thus making him the LONGEST REIGNING LOW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION IN HISTORY! And that is nothing short of PHENOMENAL!!! #therecanbeonly1

Of course if you want to wipe it from your mind that is ok. As far as the official record books here at LOW, Omega is a former LOW World Heavyweight champion. I'm honestly not even sure who has the longest single reign, that is something I will have to look into. It could be AJ. Most title defenses is 12, a record shared by Mil Mascaras and Nick Bockwinkel. I knew that when I went to post this show today that it might cause you temporary insanity which is why I warned you in the repost of The Mountie's title victory. The dice rolled the right way for Buddy Rogers at the end and that potent Figure Four Grapevine (+4) was inescapable. Also, Pariah, I'm sorry that you now have to look at my new Buddy Rogers avatar

But, it's also interesting to note that it looks like your early champions defended the title a lot more frequently... For example, Giant Baba once had a 28 card title reign in which he successfully defended the belt 10 times! Absolutely love digging through the rich history of this fed... It hurts everytime my gaze falls upon that new avatar, my friend... But, I will rise above it... LOL!

Playing catch up and don't have much to add that hasn't already been said with the exception of two things: When I first saw that Buddy Rogers was in line for a title shot, I had a feeling AJ Styles was not going to have a Phenomenal night. ( Pariah 's "noooooo" aptly looked like air being let out of a balloon ) Also the switch over of Lucha Underground to Lucha MAX is a welcome change. While you did a great job writing up the LU style of show, it's not really my kind of thing. Looking forward to see how this new territory shapes up. Great stuff as always!!

PCW & Golden Age Wrestling didn't dissapoint. Enjoyed the Conway's getting victories. Not to Mention that The Mountie reclaimed the Tex Arcana Television Title. (He fought the law and the law wo!). Bummer about The Nature Boy taking the title although A.J. (The Giant Killer) did have a solid run with it. He's just gonna have to win another title - or take it back in a rematch. Harley Race looms for who ever holds it - and I know Race wants that title. Always world class rockin cruefan68!

It's cool to see that Johnny Valentine has the record for the longest LOW World Heavyweight title reign. As for the frequency of title defenses back then, I had less territories running so I booked title matches more frequently. In hindsight I wish I had done it how I do it now so that the guys could have had longer reigns. That was definitely an impressive run for Giant Baba on top. And as for the Buddy Rogers avatar, yes, you will rise above it
