Thanks for your comments Troy and Pariah. AJ Styles vs. Vader would certainly be a fun match, hopefully it will happen for the title but Vader has some work to do first. Styles will also have to retain the belt along the way as well but it is definitely a fun match to think about. Coming up next is another wild night of SHIMMER action and the appearance of Dynamite Kansai is one of the last for boots in my fed. The only ones I will use from now on are the Lance Russell announcer card (of course!) and enhancement guys created by joebreakdown and Kat Rana of Battle Kat, Rusty Brooks, Mr. X and Pete Doherty as I want to become mostly boot free. We have a stacked lineup of official cards now! Anyway, enough with my banter and on to the action...

Show Highlights:
An Atomicos opener saw MsChif join forces with Athena, Mia Yim and Shazza McKenzie to take on Jessicka Havok, Vanessa Kraven, Allysin Kay and Angelus Layne. This was an all action battle that saw all eight-women battling in and out of the ring. Havok nearly won it by count out after dropping MsChif on the guard rail but the Goth star fought her way back in. MsChif rebounded and picked up a near fall on Kraven, dropping “The Mountain” with a sitout choke slam. The action continued at this torrid pace until the referee, unable to control the action, called for the bell ordering a double disqualification as the participants fought outside the ring.
The daredevil Kay Lee Ray took on the egotistical Madison Rayne in a high energy singles bout. Ray dazzled Rayne with her speed early, including delivering the tope suicida. The two exchanged near falls building to a strong finish which saw Ray kick out after taking the Rayne Check. After a battle on the outside, Rayne scored with a diving spear before nailing Rayne with a Swinging Neckbreaker for the pin.
Candice LeRae & Shotzi Blackheart took on Maria Manic & Penelope Ford in what promised to be a solid tag team bout. It did not disappoint and Manic and Ford, in particular, had a great showing in regard to dominating for extended stretches. LeRae impressed with her resiliency, surviving the Back Flip Stunner by Ford and the F5 by Manic. The spunky Blackheart put up a great battle as well, but she was caught in the end courtesy of a Double Handspring Splash by Ford resulting in the pin.
“The Wounded Owl” Lufisto faced third-generation star Tessa Blanchard in a highly anticipated singles match. This was an all-out war that saw Blanchard busted open while also impressively surviving near falls on the J-Driller and Burning Hammer. The two women fought out of the ring several times and that is where this one ended as Blanchard was disqualified snake eyes style for attacking the legs of Lufisto with a chair. Blanchard was not done there and kept smashing the chair into the legs of Lufisto until finally Heart of SHIMMER champion Jordynne Grace, Lufisto’s tag team partner, ran out to make the save. Lufisto had to be carried out on a stretcher as she was unable to get back to her feet.
A night of crazy action continued as two former SHIMMER champions squared off with “The Punisher” Madison Eagles taking on “Sweet” Saraya Knight. They don’t come any tougher than Eagles and Knight and that was on full display here. Both women traded stiff blows and hit some of their signature moves, with Eagles coming closest to a win when she locked on Cattle Mutilation. Knight battled out of the painful hold and took it to the floor where, much like the opening match, it ended in a double disqualification with the two fighting while ignoring the calls of the referee to break it up. A number of SHIMMER officials were needed to pry the two apart and afterward it was announced that they would meet in a return No Holds Barred Match at Volume 58.
After the injury suffered by her tag team partner Lufisto earlier, Heart of SHIMMER champion Jordynne Grace may not have had her head totally into it as she defended the title against Nicole Matthews. That was somewhat evident early as Matthews dominated the action including hitting a blistering series of lariat’s. Grace finally got into it and used her impressive power to get the better of Matthews. Once again on this night the action outside the ring played a role in the outcome. After Matthews had executed a rolling elbow smash, she rolled back inside drawing the attention of the referee. That led to Tessa Blanchard running down and tossing Grace head first into the ring post and back into the ring where Matthews hit the Vancouver Maneuver, a rolling cutter, to score the pin. The crowd jeered the decision as Matthews, with an assist from Blanchard, captured her first singles title in becoming the new Heart of SHIMMER champion.
Yet another technical decision played a role in a match outcome as the Mademoiselle Rachelle-led trio of B-R-B (Blonde, Red & Bad Ass) consisting of Barbi Hayden, Taeler Hendrix & Kelly Klein took on SHIMMER tag team champions Crazy Mary Dobson & Courtney Rush and their partner Thunder Rosa. This match was going strong with both sides coming close to victory, particularly when Klein caught Dobson in the End Of The Match, her submission finisher. Rosa took things into her own hands when she rushed in with a chair smashing it over the back of Klein for a disqualification decision. Rosa lost it but that was just fine with Dobson and Rush who have taken “La Mera Mera” under their wing in SHIMMER. B-R-B bid a hasty retreat as Dobson, Rush and Rosa seemed poised for some post-match action.
The main event, born out of the aftermath of Wrestling Queendom (Volume 56), saw Sara Del Ray put the SHIMMER title on the line against the strong challenge of Japanese star Dynamite Kansai. Kansai pinned Del Ray in the main event tag team match at Wrestling Queendom leading to the challenge for the title. In the days leading up to the match, Kansai sent a telegram to SHIMMER Promoter Dave Prazak vowing to return to Japan with the championship if she won it from Del Ray. That put Del Ray in a tough spot having to not only successfully defend her title but also prevent Kansai from taking the belt away from SHIMMER.
Both women went all out in an incredible main event match featuring near fall after near fall. The resiliency shown by both was extremely impressive, especially after Del Ray hit her Royal Butterfly and Kansai hit the Splash Mountain. Both finishing moves would ultimately play a role in the outcome, a spectacular finishing sequence that saw Kansai lay out Del Ray with the jumping piledriver. Del Ray looked to be done as Kansai lifted her up into position for the Splash Mountain only to have the champion execute a counter directly into the Royal Butterfly for the pin (Promoters Note: The Kansai bootleg card has a die roll on the Splash Mountain, potentially turning it into the even more devastating Diehard Kansai (+2), but Del Ray rolled a “5” which is an escape counter, followed by a “6” for the Royal Butterfly. Yes, I marked out for that finish!). It was a successful version two title defense for Del Ray who drew a post-match show of respect from Kansai as they shook hands and bowed to each other drawing cheers from the crowd.
