She had a panic attack, and she'll be fine. Solie's broadcast partner "Progressive Liberal" Daniel Richards said, "Coming face to face with Abdullah The Butcher would give anyone a panic attack. Cornette blamed Rose for losing big matches when he managed Originals, but Rose was a big part of this win. After the match, Lano was taking a picture of his victorious team for the cover of a major wrestling magazine when Angelo Poffo entered the ring. I finally made it to the halfway point of the game year! I've posted all the shows that I played & wrote up to this point.
With shutdowns & restrictions, I didn't think I'd make it. Now I need to take a bit of a break to recharge my batteries.
Once I've had a chance to rest my typing hands, I'll be back with more Rebel Wrestling!

Coming soon: The second half of Rebel Wrestling Year 2! Legendary broadcast duo Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan will now host both Saturday Night Special & Sunday Superstar Wars, but unlike the Rebel Wrestling Network indy shows, they won't be in the studio at Superstation WTBS in Atlanta, Georgia. Instead, they'll be in the arena every week! Heenan wants to be in the arena to manage his Heenan Family, and Teddy Long is hoping to talk Monsoon into stepping back inside the squared circle for an occasional match, so they'll have a desk backstage behind the curtain where wrestlers make their entrance to the ring. This area has even been given its on name--The Gorilla Position! Gordon Solie & "Progressive Liberal" Daniel Richards will remain Rebel Wrestling commentators, and Gary Michael Cappetta will return as ring announcer. Bill Apter will also return to Rebel Wrestling for "Press Conference" interviews. The Southern Confederation of Promoters who own Rebel Wrestling have also hired 3 legendary referees to officiate matches--James Beard, Joey Marella & Dick Woehrle! The second half of the year promises to be just as exciting as the first half--if not more! Let's join Monsoon & Heenan in the studio to recap the recent pay-per-view and preview the upcoming TV shows...
Monsoon: Lone Star Showdown belonged to the Four Horsemen. World Champion Buddy Rogers won back-to-back matches against Randy Savage and Harley Race, and National Champ Barry Windham beat Big Van Vader. Also, Jr. Heavyweight Champ Tully Blanchard & TV Champ Larry Zbyszko won the National Tag Team Titles from Ted DiBiase & Steve Williams. Heenan: DiBiase & Williams' Rat Pack partner "hacksaw" Jim Duggan lost the Hardcore Title to ABdullah The Butcher, but the big news is DiBiase turning on Duggan & Williams. It's about time if you asked me. DiBiase's too talented to associate with rednecks like Duggan & Williams. DiBiase & his bodyguard Virgil vs. Duggan & Williams on Saturday Night Special.
Monsoon: There's no excuse for DiBiase's actions. He's just as bad as the Four Horsemen. Speaking of the Horsemen, our colleague Bill Apter will interview them in his first Press Conference live from the luxurious home of our World Champ "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers. Heenan: Leilani Kai regained the Dixie Divas Title from Sherri Martel while Rockin' Robin & Joyce Grable regained the Dixie Divas Tag Team Titles from Toni Rose 7 Beverly Shade. Now Kai & her Glamour Girls partner Judy Martin want a Tag Title shot vs. Southern Belles.
Monsoon: Original Midnight Express(Dennis Condrey & Randy Rose) beat Jim Cornette's Midnight Express(Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane). But after the win, Condrey & Rose dumped their manager Dr. Mike Lano for Angelo Poffo. What do you make of that, Brain? Heenan: I think Condrey & Rose traded up. Angelo's a much better manager than Lano. But I have it on good authority that Lano has agreed to become manager of Cauliflower Alley Club--Bobo Brazil, the Flying Redheads, and the Six-Man Tag Team Champs Lou Thesz, Diamond Dallas Page & The Destroyer. Plus, my sources say that he'll sign Malia Hosaka to join the CAC. That's breaking news from a real broadcast journalist!
Monsoon: Broadcast journalist? More like yellow journalist! Heenan: I resemble that remark. i do have blond hair. Monsoon: Will you stop? When are you going to sign a woman wrestler? Heenan: I already did, and she'll face Hosaka Saturday night. It's Fabulous Moolah.
Monsoon: Wow! That is breaking news! But I have some breaking news too. Fresh off his First Blood win over Bob Roop on pay-per-view, Bruiser Brody will face your man Nick Bockwinkel in the main event of Saturday Night Special. The winner challenges Buddy Rogers for the World Title in 3 weeks in El Paso, Texas! Heenan: Nick beat Brody for the World Title, and he'll beat him again to become #1 Contender. Then he'll beat Buddy Rogers to bring the World Title back to the Family!
Monsoon: Last week's Sunday Superstar Wars served as the pre-show to Lone Star Showdown. Sheepherders won the Hardcore Tag Team Titles of Ox Baker & Killer Kowalski when Sheepherders beat Texas Hangmen in a Triple Threat Match. Baker & Kowalski protested because the Hangmen illegally switched during the match, but the decision stands! Heenan: Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champs Jack & Jerry Brisco beat Flying Redheads last week. This week, the Brisco Brothers will defend against Killer Bees in the main event.
Monsoon: Fans, Teddy Long is at it again. He's bringing another tournament to Sunday Superstar Wars. This time, "Tournament Master" Teddy has arranged for some of wrestling's pioneers to compete in the Rebel Wrestling Vintage Rules Title Tournament! #1: Frank Gotch vs. winner of #8: Rod Fenton/Henry Irslinger #4: George Hackenschmidt vs. winner of #5: William Muldoon/Ed Lewis #3: Jim Londos vs. winner of #6: Evan Lewis/John Pesek #2: Great Gama vs. winner of #7: George Tragos/Yusuf Ismail Heenan: There will be one Vintage Rules Match every SUnday night starting this week with Rod Fenton vs. Henry Irslinger. But don't forget about the Young Guns Tournaments on Saturday Night Special featuring indy wrestlers from Rebel Wrestling Network. This week, it's Men Of The Year(Michael Elgin & Ethan Page) vs. Best Friends(Chuck Taylor & Trent Baretta) in the tag team tournament, and Ricochet vs. John Skyler in the singles tournament. The Young Guns Tournaments will go all through Rebel Wrestling's tour of Texas!
Monsoon: Join us this weekend from Houston, Texas, for Saturday Night Special & Sunday Superstar Wars--only on the mothership known as Superstation WTBS!
Ted DiBiase & Virgil walk into the studio. DiBiase now has a full beard, and he's wearing a black and gold tuxedo. He hands Heenan a wad of $100 bills. and Heenan leaves the set. DiBiase sits down and picks up Heenan's microphone while Virgil stands behind him glaring at Monsoon.
DiBiase: Hello, Monsoon. I understand that you didn't like my actions at Lone Star Showdown. Monsoon: You knocked out your friends, Jim Duggan & Steve Williams, with a loaded glove! DiBiase: Duggan had no right to get in my face so I dropped him! "Dr. Death" stood up for that loser so I dropped him too! I'm putting together a new team--a team of winners. I've made an offer to four wrestlers to join my Million Dollar Corporation, and they'll join me Saturday night because I'm the "Million Dollar Man", and I always get what I want! Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha! Two singles wrestlers and one tag team will join my Corporation because everybody's got a price...for the "Million Dollar Man"! Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha! Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha! Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha!
DiBiase continues to laugh maniacally as the screen fades to black and the show ends.
