Rebel Wrestling Sunday 52--Raleigh, North Carolina
Gordon Solie & Lance Rusell welcome viewers to the Dorton Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina, for the final Sunday Superstar Wars of the year. It's also the official pre-show for Carolina Combat coming up right after this show only on pay-per-view!
George Steele w/Lou Albano submitted a bloody Big Bully Busick with FLYING HAMMERLOCK. Steele ripped open the turnbuckle pad early in the match and rubbed the stuffing in Busick's face. Then, "The Animal" repeatedly hit Busick with headlock turnbuckle ram into the exposed steel turnbuckle until he was busted wide open. Steele was all over Busick from the opening bell as Busick had no offense!
Highwaymen(Blackjack Mulligan, Johnny Mantell, Scott Casey & Sam Houston) beat Nation Of Domination(Brickhouse Brown, Thunderbolt Patterson, D'Lo Brown & Redd Dogg)w/Jazz in an 8-Man Tag Team Elimination Match: D'Lo Brown pinned Mantell with LO DOWN. Mulligan pinned D'Lo Brown with BLACKJACK CLAW. Redd Dogg submitted Casey with BLACKOUT. Houston pinned Brickhouse Brown with BULLDOG. Redd Dogg submitted Houston with BLACKOUT. Mulligan pinned Redd Dogg with BLACKJACK CLAW. Mulligan pinned Patterson with BLACKJACK CLAW. Blackjack Mulligan is the sole survivor!
Les Thatcher submitted Lanny Poffo w/Flamboyant Ones(Adrian Street & Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupre) with STUMP PULLER. Poffo charged at Thatcher in the corner, but Thatcher moved and Poffo fell outside the ring. Poffo crawled back into the ring to beat the referee's count, but Thatcher was waiting on him to quickly apply STUMP PULLER for the win!
Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan are at their backstage Gorilla Position commenting on the action when they show a video of their recent trip to Disco Inferno's Lava Lamp Lounge nightclub. Disco tells Monsoon that he's been teaching dance moves to "some people from the village" for a special performance at Carolina Combat. Disco promises that it will be worth buying the pay-per-view just to see it! Meanwhile, a leisure suit-wearing Heenan is on the dance floor trying to do The Hustle with some Disco Chicks, but he has two left feet and falls flat on his face. Heenan rolls over on his back and looks up to see two big mirror balls fall from the ceiling and land on his chest. Disco says, "That's a big set of balls you have there, Brain!", but Monsoon says, "You are ridiculous!". Then the video ends.
Ilio Dipaolo, Pepper Gomez & Antonino Rocca beat Terrible Trio("Terrible Turk" Yusuf Ismail & Odd Couple: Rod Fenton & Henry Irslinger) in a Vintage Rules Match when DiPaolo pinned Ismail with AIRPLANE SPIN. This was a one-sided match as the trio of Dipaolo, Gomez & Rocca looked very impressive in victory!
It was reported last week that the Southern Confederation Of Promoters who own Rebel Wrestling were giving Ted DiBiase a TV Title shot this week with a Guest Referee of DiBiase's choosing. They did this to thank him for his help in trying to stop the hostile takeover of Rebel Wrestling by that Damn Yankee Promoter from New York. They didn't know that DiBiase would buy the entire Rebel Wrestling Network on Superstation WTBS, close down the RWN independent promotions, and take control of Rebel Wrestling himself! They also didn't know his Guest Referee would be Bill Alfonso!
Ted DiBiase w/Virgil pinned Television Champion Jimmy Snuka w/Lou Albano to win the title with Bill Alfonso as Guest Referee. The entire locker room spilled into the ringside area during the match. Most wrestlers are upset by DiBiase's takeover, but some of them support it! During the fracas, DiBaise rolled up Snuka, grabbed the trunks, and put his feet on the ropes while Fonzie made a fast 3-count. Fonzie blew his whistle as he raised DiBiase's hand in victory and handed him the TV Title. Ringside announcers Gordon Solie & Lance Russell are in shock as the "Million Dollar Man" steals the Television Title from "Superfly" and laughs all the way to the bank!
What does the future hold for Rebel Wrestling? Stay tuned! Up next, Rebel Wrestling presents Carolina Combat live from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, only on pay-per-view!

Tracy Smothers comes out waving a Rebel Flag to introduce "the greatest Six-Man Tag Team in the history of Rebel Wrestling". Fabulous Freebirds(Terry Gordy, Eddie Gilbert & Tommy Rich)w/Tracy Smothers beat Six-Man Tag Team Champions Hall Of Fame(Bob Backlund, Dan Severn & Don Curtis)w/Gorilla Monsoon to win the titles when Gilbert pinned a bloody Curtis with HOT SHOT. The first-ever Six-Man Tag Team Champions reunited to become the first 2-time Champions. The trio that terrorized Rebel Wrestling in Year 1 have reunited to end Year 2. Heaven doesn't want the Freebirds, and Hell's afraid they'll take over! Will they take over Rebel Wrestling in Year 3? The backstage camera shows a limousine arrive at the arena. Virgil gets out from behind the wheel to open the door for the passenger. It's the new owner of Rebel Wrestling & Television Champion "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase. Road Warriors(Hawk & Animal)w/Paul Ellering beat World Tag Team Champions Miracle Power Combination(Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen) with DOOMSDAY DEVICE on a bloody Brody to win the titles. He doesn't have entrance music, but he still gets the loudest ovation of the night! Randy Savage w/Angelo Poffo & Mr. Hughes pinned a heavily bleeding World Champion & Vintage Rules Champion Lou Thesz w/Dr. Mike Lano with FLYING ELBOW SMASH to win the World Title in a Vintage Rules Match. Savage busted open Thesz with FLYING ELBOW SMASH for a near-fall earlier in the match. Thesz later fell out of the ring and landed awkwardly twisting his ankle on the floor. Television Champion "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase w/Virgil comes out and says, "Hey, Randy! Congratulations on once again becoming World Champion. It's been a long time coming. But, now, I have a big announcement to make. As you know, I bought Rebel Wrestling Network--including Rebel Wrestling--from the Southern Confederation Of Promoters to stop the hostile takeover by that Damn Yankee Promoter from New York. I canceled the RWN independent shows...and now I'm selling Rebel Wrestling to the New York Promoter! Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha! And if you're not down with that, he's got two words for you: 'You're Fired!' Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha!". I told you that big changes were coming soon! Ha-Ha-Ha-ha!".(Fans boo). Teddy Long comes out and says, "Wait just a minute, playa. You may have purchased the Rebel Wrestling Network, but you didn't purchase Rebel Wrestling. The Southern Confederation Of Promoters sit on the board of directors of a company called Rebel Wrestling Incorporated. Rebel Wrestling Inc. signed a deal with Superstation WTBS at this time last year to provide a different wrestling show every night of the week. That's when the Rebel Wrestling Network--with Rebel Wrestling International, Rebel Warriors & Rebels Of Honor--was born. The Rebel Wrestling shows on the weekend were never legally or officially a part of RWN. When you bought RWN, you just bought the independent promotions, and since you shut them down, that means you don't own jack (bleep), playa! (Fans cheer). But, the money you paid for RWN did allow the Southern Confederation Of Promoters to stop the hostile takeover once and for all. Now, you were right when you said that big changes are coming soon. Rebel Wrestling will be divided into regional territories with their own rosters, champions & TV Shows in Year 3, but they'll all be competing for one World Title. That means, Rebel Wrestling Incorporated will continue to provide a new wrestling show every night of the week on Superstation WTBS...but this time, they'll all be under the Rebel Wrestling banner! Holla, holla, holla!(Fans cheer).
Gordon Solie & Lance Russell sign off. Russell says, "It's the end of Rebel Wrestling as we know it, and we feel fine!". Solie says, "So long from Greensboro! Thanks for joining us at Carolina Combat!".
END OF REBEL WRESTLING YEAR 2! STAY TUNED FOR REBEL WRESTLING YEAR 3!
