I love telling this story...
The man who killed Dreadnaught in my fed's original history was...DREADNAUGHT! After the advent of the Centra Coffin Match, Dreadnaught began having what he called his "Coffin Match Chalenge." Anyone who wanted to face him HAD to face him in a Coffin Match. And he targeted some of his former fued opponents to see just who it would be that would put him in the box for good. And he survived until the GWF returned to Deminsion K. Then he went to Kronos.
On a GWFF card on Kronos, old Dreadnaught came out, pushing his coffin to ringside, climbed in the ring and got a mic. He then gave the speach:
"I know my time is coming. And I have spent this time taking on all the men I have hated over my career. I have faced some of my oldest foes and some more recent. And none have been the ones to close the lid on this coffin for good. Well I have come here tonight to take on the man who I hate the most in this entire galaxy...MYSELF!"
The crowd gasped.
"That's right, I intend to wrestle myself. I hate myself more than any one of my opponents. Had I not been so hungry for power, had I not entered the Transevolver not once but twice, I may be standing here before you a diferent man. But I'm not, and I am ashamed for my actions. So I know you are listening, young Dreadnaught. Now get out here and face your fate!"
It seems impossible, but on Kronos nothing is impossible. The young Dreadnaught (his first card as Dreadnaught) came out to the ring with a mic of his own.
"I don't beleive you. I am one of the most powerful men in wrestling. The Transevolver has made me better! I will never hate myself for taking that step, and if I go in a second time I must only come out even greater than I went in! I refuse to beleive your lies, old man. I will NEVER be YOU!"
And with that the match was on. A mostly one sided match at that. The younger, stronger Dreadnaught hit his elder self with everything he could. And it was because of that unrelenting offense that the old Dreadnaught finally met his match. He collapsed in the ring after a move by younger Dreadnaught who quickly rolled him into the coffin and closed the lid to win the match. The coffin was wheeled to the back, but it was too late. Dreadnaught was dead, killed by his own hands. And fearing the risk of another Kronoscam the officials of the GWFF refused to release the details when they sent his body back to the GWF for burial. But I know the truth, and I am not afraid to say it.
And that's how Dreadnaught died in my first fed's history.
