Anyone else watching NWA 70 on Sunday?
I think it is cool how it stats at 4:05 PM PST as the NWA on TBS back in the 1980s always started at 5 minutes past the hour.
the full lineup:
* Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Nick Aldis (NWA World Heavyweight Championship (Best two out three falls) * Jazz (c) vs. Penelope Ford (NWA World Women's Championship) * Willie Mack vs. Jay Bradley vs. Mike Parrow vs. Ricky Starks (Four-way Elimination Match A for vacant NWA National Heavyweight Championship) * Sammy Guevara vs. Colt Cabana vs. Scorpio Sky vs. Sam Shaw (Four-way Elimination Match B for vacant NWA National Heavyweight Championship) * Tim Storm vs. Peter Avalon * Jax Dane and Crimson with Road Warrior Animal have issued an open challenge for a tag team match. * Laredo Kid vs. Barrett Brown

Watched it and loved it... It was plagued with some technical problems early on, but the ring action largely delivered, particularly the main event... And Cornette was gold on commentary! "Both these men went through hell with gasoline underwear..." Hahahaha!

Yeah, despite the technical issues, NWA 70 was a good show.
Here in Las Vegas, my friend Ofi is Willie Mack’s girlfriend and she came over to watch the show with me and so she got to see Willie win the National Championship and then we went downtown to see a free Mighty Mighty Bosstones concert.
I am not surprised Cody lost the title back to Aldis tonight as I thought Cody’s reign would be a short one.
Looking forward to the Crockett Cup in 2019!

Yeah Cody's reign was clearly meant to be like his Dad's, just a quick one to get his name on the belt and give Aldis a bit of a rub for winning it. Glad Billy has the NWA actually going somewhere after it drifted for years little more than a name and a title people could buy a reign.
