Big fan of this fed. Are you keeping win/loss records as I'd love to see who has picked up the most victories and who has suffered the most defeats along the way!

Thanks joebreakdown for the question and for following along with the action. I started keeping a detailed win and lost record but I just did not have the time to keep it up. I am using the Career Performance Tracker that was posted on the board some time ago to determine the rankings each month. It is simple and has worked well for me so far. I really wanted to go back and complete an all time won/loss review for my annual legend’s tournament but the task seems very daunting given how busy I am.

It certainly sounds likea daunting task! I think I'll have to check out the career performancre tracker as well as I've never heard of it and will have to see if I can find it.
I'm always pulling for plucky Ron Hutchison in your fed as he's had some very surprising victories!

Excellent action in London and congrats to Lou Thesz on his huge championship win over Johnny Valentine. It is difficult to keep Thesz away from the gold as Valentine found out. The entire card was solid and I especially liked seeing Bob Armstrong get that big win over Pampero Firpo. Huge win for Jim Brunzell over Ted Dibiase, Randy Savage continues to look strong and it was interesting to see Francine make her debut but she was unable to get past Princess Victoria. The upcoming MLG card looks like it will be an epic event.

September 15, 2019 – Card #50 – Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto, Ontario
Sam Houston picked up the win over Shawn Daivari. Daivari has plenty of heat for this one from out of the gate and that only increases when he gets the upper hand in the match. Daivari connects with WMD but the fans are happy when Houston gets his shoulder up at the last second. Daivari maintains focus, keeping on Houston but gets caught on the top of the buckle where Houston tosses him to the mat. Houston thinks twice about tossing Daivari outside and then plants him with a cobra clutch suplex for the pin. Abdullah The Butcher w/Rock Riddle destroyed Ron Hutchison. Morgan Dollar has strict instructions for both men. This one was over quickly as Abdullah connected with a Sudanese Meat Clever after clotheslining Hutchison in the corner. Hutchison kicked out of the cover but a second Sudanese Meat Clever moments later ended the match. “Macho Man” Randy Savage /Sherri Martel bested Brad Armstrong by disqualification. Armstrong proved to be no push over and was the first competitor to really challenge Savage. An early sleeper nearly ended he content and left Savage in a heap. Savage came back with a vicious assault in and out of the ring including a flying axe-handle to the floor. Multiple times Savage put Armstrong’s back to the mat for a near fall but Armstrong found a away to keep kicking out. The screams from Martel became more frantic as the action wore on and Savage become more and more rattled. Martel even attacked Armstrong on the floor herself leading to a near count out. Finally, Armstrong mounted a comeback knocking Savage into the ring post busting him open. Armstrong hit a pair of two handed bulldogs and a dropkick that spilled the match to the floor. Armstrong then used a fireman’s carry from the apron to put Savage through the ringside table. Both men were left in heap as the bell sounded and the referee made the disqualification call. Martel assisted Savage to his feet while Bullet Bob Armstrong helped his son to the back after the match.
Flying Redheads squashed Lou Albano & Wild Bill White. Billy Red Lyons gets the immediate advantage against Wild Bill White and after only a pair of moves is joined by Red Bastien for rapid fire dropkicks that down White and lead to the three count from Morgan Dollar.
Heavenly Bodies w/Jim Cornette defeated Rock ‘n’ Roll Express. Bill Alfonso makes his first officiating appearance in Maple Leaf Wrestling. This was an absolute war from start to finish. The Bodies gained an early advantage and a timely pin save by Ricky Morton saved a bloodied Robert Gibson from defeat after a Rocket Launcher. The Express came back and Morton nearly had Stan Lane pinned after a cross body block but Tom Pritchard made the save. Later Gibson sent Pritchard into the ring post busting him open. Both sides were battered when Morton came off the top with a cross body block that would have finished it against Lane but Alfonso became distracted and Prichard was able to smash Morton with the tennis racket which lead directly to a Rocket Launcher and the three count. In the first of two title matches tonight, Chaz Taylor beat Northern Lights Champion Joe Blanchard to win the title. The action was closely contested under the watchful eye of Morgan Dollar who had strict instructions for both men before the bell. Blanchard was able to slow the pace and took control with forearms and tackles. An impressive running bulldog found its mark but Taylor had the fans behind him and soon the pace picked up and Taylor took over. At one point, Taylor connected with back to back to back cartwheels and superkicks that had the fans roaring. Taylor picked up his first near fall late in the match with a running corner splash. He followed with a Chaztizer for a two and half count and then hit a second Chazitizer to claim the gold.
Jimmy Snuka downed Bob Armstrong. This was an interesting contrast of styles from the outset. Snuka used his speed, chops plenty of backbreakers to his advantage but Armstrong proved a tough nut to crack even kicking out after a Superfly Leap early in the encounter. Armstrong just kept fighting back until finally he had an opportunity to go for the win when he avoided Snuka’s tackle in the corner sending Superfly crashing chest first into the buckles. Armstrong rolled up Snuka for a two and half count that brought the fans out of their seats before locking in a sleeper that drained the life from Snuka. Armstrong then unloaded a Georgia Jawjacker but Snuka was able to just get his shoulder up. It was back and forth from that point with a mix of fists, stomp and chops from both competitors. Snuka scored with a belly to belly suplex and then planted the Bullet in the middle of the ring with a power slam to take the victory. Magnum T.A. pinned Johnny Valentine. This level of intensity was off the charts from the outset. Valentine landed an atomic skullcrusher early but Allen was able to kick out. Both men were willing to mix it up and neither backed down even when the action when to the floor. Allen ate the ring post and was busted wide open. Valentine showed no mercy attacking the cut and turning the mat red. Allen survived a second atomic skullcrusher and later a chair shot across the back. The fans were all over Morgan Dollar who appeared ready to let competitors battle it out. Allen just beat the ten count back into the ring after a body slam onto the area floor. It looked to be over with a bloodied and battered Allen out on his feet but Allen was able to counter out of headlock and connect with dropkicks out of nowhere that knocked Valentine to the mat. As Valentine regained his feet, Allen was ready with a belly to belly suplex that was enough to get the three count as the fans exploded in celebration for Allen’s comeback.
Canadian Open Tag Team Champions Valiant Brothers over Vachons. Morgan Dollar gets back to back assignments. The champions set the tone in the opening minutes when Johnny Valiant cracked Butcher Vachon with a chair to the head busting him wide open. Morgan Dollar appeared ready to the let the two sides fight it out and the fans knew at that point they were going to witness a war. And a war it was. Butcher Vachon took an epic beating from the Valiants but when the pin save was blocked, he managed to kick out after a Super Elbow. Mad Dog Vachon was finally able to get into the match and was basically in a handicapped match at that point. He bit, clawed and punched his way through the champions but was not able to put way Jimmy Valiant after a Piledriver despite Butcher Vachon blocking the pin save. The action continued in and out of the ring. Johnny Valiant got into some trouble and soon was a bloody mess as well. Quadruple foot stomp nearly needed it but Johnny Valiant just got his shoulder up. Johnny Valiant was able to catch Mad Dog Vachon on the top of the corner and slammed him to the mat. Jimmy Valant tagged in and joined his brother for a Super Elbow to Vachon to score the victory.
Blackjack Mulligan, Commonwealth Champion Buddy Rogers & Ted DiBiase bested “Jumping” Jim Brunzell, Diamond Dallas Page & Lou Thesz. The fans were in awe of the line-up for this one. DiBiase and Brunzell battled at the outset and tore the house down. Buddy Rogers took over and managed to trap Brunzell in a figure four grapevine but Brunzell made the ropes to stay alive. A hot tag to Thesz brought the fans to their feet and he tore into his nemesis Rogers hitting a Thesz Press almost immediately for a near fall before battering Rogers in and out of the ring. Rogers clearly wanted not more of the Canadian Heavyweight Champion but Blackjack Mulligan was more than willing to mix it up with Thesz and took over the match leading to a pair of Blackjack Claw holds that Thesz barely survived. A hot tag to Page turned the momentum once again before DiBiase ended back in the ring. Page gave way to Brunzell. DiBiase and Brunzell went back and forth but DiBiase took advantage of an opening and connected with a loaded glove. Brunzell was just able to kick out of the cover but was busted open. DiBiase kept on Brunzell including a sleeper and then a fist drop to get the three count. News and Views: Congratulations are in order to Chaz Taylor who is your new Northern Lights Champion after an impressive outing against Joe Blanchard . . . The Heavenly Bodies continue to make life miserable for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express at every turn and Mamma Cornette could not be prouder . . . Magnum T.A. made a big statement tonight to the championship committee with his victory over former Canadian Heavyweight Champion Johnny Valentine . . . A much-needed win for Sam Houston tonight which will keep in the conversation of contenders for the Northern Lights Championship . . . Just an insane Canadian Open Tag Team Title Match tonight as the Valiant Brothers continue to show their ability to just hang on long enough to retain the gold . . . Abdullah the Butcher has arrived in Maple Leaf Wrestling . . . Jimmy Snuka picked up a hard fought victory over Bob Armstrong tonight and will be the next challenger for the Commonwealth Title currently held by Buddy Rogers . . . Action packed main event tonight featuring several competitors who will be contesting for the singles titles in the near feature . . . Some serious intensity between Brad Armstrong and Randy Savage tonight that left both men battered and exhausted . . . Huge win for the Flying Redheads tonight . . .
Up next, Maple Leaf Wrestling will arrive in Cornwall for a show at the Cornwall Arena featuring a Commonwealth Title Match: • After coming up short in their quest to capture the Canadian Open Tag Team Titles, the Vachon Brothers will be back in action immediately when they take on the rising team of Flying Redheads in what should be a tag team classic. • Two competitors from the Northern Lights Title Tournament make their return to Maple Leaf Wrestling as Johnny Saint takes on “Mr. Electricity” Steve Regal • In the first of several rematches from tonight, Randy Savage will once tangle with the always competitive Brad Armstrong • Trillium action returns to Maple Leaf Wresting with Madison Rayne facing Rockin’ Robin • In another rematch from tonight, Johnny Valentine looks to regain his momentum when he again takes on Mangum T.A. in an effort to get his win back • Jim Brunzell and Ted DiBiase were showcased in tonight’s main event and they will continue their singles feud in Cornwall in a one on one battle • The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express appear to have no answer to Jim Cornette & his Heavenly Bodies tag team so far but the two sides will once again be action against each other as Cornette has his goals set on Tag Team Gold in the near future • After an impressive victory in his feud against Greg Valentine along with wins over Mad Dog Vachon & Bob Armstrong, Jimmy Snuka has positioned himself near the top of the rankings and will get a title opportunity against Commonwealth Champion Buddy Rogers in the main event
Promotor’s Brain! This was one of my favourite cards I have rolled out in some time. The dice just got it right. First off, only one disqualification the entire night and what a disqualification it was. I cannot wait for the rematch between Savage and Armstrong
We get a hot opener featuring Northern Lights competitors followed by the debut of Abdullah. The fans were rocking already before Armstrong left it all in the ring against Savage.
Tag action follows and the Redheads finally get their squash win and that is followed up by the absolute war between the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express and Heavenly Bodies to close out the first half of the show.
Post intermission we get a title change followed by a clash of two fan favourites and top contenders.
Then Magnum TA scores a huge upset over Johnny Valentine which takes the fans up a notch again before the Valiants and the Vachons go to war over the tag team titles. Then, to top it off, we get a star studded six-man tag team battle featuring the Canadian Heavyweight Champion and Commonwealth Champion on opposite sides. We get Rogers running away from Thesz, Mulligan pushing everyone around and finally DiBiase & Brunzell battling to the finish.
I had loads of fun rolling this card out and I hope you enjoyed the wright up.

September 22, 2019 – Card #51 – Cornwall Arena, Cornwall, Ontario
Joe Blanchard defeated Sam Houston. Northern Lights action started the night off with the former champion Blanchard looking to get on tract to another opportunity at the gold. He controlled the early action including a near fall after a running bulldog, which is basically Houston’s own finisher. Houston came back with his speed and showed some toughness getting the best of the brawl on the floor. Houston connected with his own bulldog finisher but Blanchard was not ready to go down yet. Blanchard battled back earning some heat when he cracked Houston across the back with a chair. Blanchard carried the momentum as he attempted for the submission with his abdominal stretch finisher and then picked up a two and three quarters count after a piledriver. Blanchard finally ended it with a second running bulldog. Blackjack Mulligan bested Bob Armstrong. Mulligan gets into the face of Morgan Dollar before the bell and the official appears shaken by the encounter. These two engaged in some wild brawls last October and November and things picked up right where they left off. There was more action on the floor then in the ring. In the opening minutes, Armstrong sent Mulligan into the ring post and Mulligan was busted open. Armstrong picked up a near fall after a vertical suplex that left the fans stunned. Mulligan gained control outside the ring and cracked Armstrong across the back with a chair. Armstrong survived a Blackjack Claw but was soon a bloody mess himself after another assault on the floor. The Bullet made the ropes to escape a second Blackjack Claw as the action went in and out of the ring several times with more chair shots. Mulligan began to press the attack and locked in a trapezius claw. Armstrong could not counter or make the ropes allowing Mulligan to get the submission victory.
Johnny Saint over “Mr. Electricity” Steve Regal. The story in this Northern Lights encounter was Regal throwing everything he had at the competitor from England but just not finding a way to get the victory. Saint showed he was a difficulty man to get into a pinning predicament and when Regal did look to have the opportunity to win, Saint had the answer to battle back. Regal even applied his FT. Lauderdale Leglock but Saint managed to make the ropes without too much difficulty. Regal began to run out of gas and Saint took over late in the match. Regal survived a three-in-one but Saint remained focused and picked up the three count with a cutblock and folding press. “Jumping” Jim Brunzell beat Ted DiBiase. After several minutes of counters Brunzell was able to break out with a flying head scissors which lead to a high flying dropick that nearly ended it. Brunzell then went to work with arm drags, flying head scissors and sleepers mixed in with forearm uppercuts and knees smashes keeping DiBiase on the defensive. DiBiase survived another high flying dropkick in the midst of the assault but Brunzell connected with the third and it was enough to get the three count from Morgan Dollar.
Vachons escaped Flying Redheads by disqualification. Billy Red Lyons was able to superplex Butcher Vachon off the top of the corner in a crowd pleasing spot early in the match but moments later Butcher Vachon reversed a whip to into the corner and was able to get the tag into Mad Dog Vachon. The Redheads took over the match from this point keeping Vachon away from this corner. Red Bastien connected with his finisher, an atomic drop for a two count. Later, Lyons and Vachon went to the floor. Vachon grabbed his chains but Lyons countered with a chair and struck first. The referee called for the disqualification and everyone at ringside presumed it was a double disqualification decision but the Vachons were announced as the winners to huge heat. The Redheads responded but going after the Vachons resulting in a post match brawl back to the dressing room. Rockin Robin pinned Madison Rayne. Morgan Dollar was in charge of the action and Rayne looked very impressive early on connecting with three diving spears that took a lot of her opponent. With the fans support, Robin came back bouncing Rayne’s head off a ringside table. Later she hit a top rope bulldog but Rayne was able to just get her shoulder up. The action went back and forth. Rayne used the tights to roll through a deathjump cross body and nearly stole the win. Seconds later, Robin used the momentum of Rayne’s cross body block from the top to roll her up into a small package for another near fall. At one point, both ladies were brawling on the apron and Rayne was nearly counted out when Robin snuck back into the ring before the ten count. Robin was able to maintain the late momentum and hit a power slam that was finally enough to get the three count.
“Macho Man” Randy Savage w/Sherri Martel won over Brad Armstrong. Armstrong came out strong and quickly took the fight to Savage who appeared to be caught off guard. The screams of Martel filled the arena as Savage became trapped in a sleeper before Armstrong planted him with a Russian leg sweep for a two count. Savage then snapped out of if and took control of the match. Neckbreaker clothesline connected for a two count. Later, Savage crushed Armstrong with a flying elbow smash but pulled him up off the mat at the count of two earning huge heat. Savage could be hear saying he was teaching a lesson and then planted Armstrong with a piledriver in the middle of the ring for the victory. Savage climbed to the top to inflict more damage but Bob Armstrong arrived and shoved Savage off sending him crashing to the mat. Savage was irate as security filled ringside to break things up.
Rock ‘n’ Roll Express came back against Heavenly Bodies w/Jim Cornette. The Heavenly Bodies and Cornette swarm Morgan Dollar and intimidate the official. It does not look like the Express will last long in this one after the Bodies cut off Ricky Morton from his corner and go to work. Robert Gibson saves his partner after a flapjack double team from the Bodies but they keep the pressure on Morton including several double suplexes and a drop toe hold & elbow combination. Morton gets the best of a brawl on the floor captured by Dr. Mike Lano and a hot tag to Morton turns the momentum. One double dropkick follows to Tom Pritchard but Stan Lane makes the save. Lane then saves his partner from a second consecutive double dropkick. Cornette causes a distraction after Morton has Pritchard pinned with a cross body block but the Express stay on tract and end it with a third double dropkick.
Magnum T.A. pinned Johnny Valentine. This was a slow epic from the outset. Allen tried everything in his playbook to get Valentine into a pinning position but Valentine proved difficult to break down. Allen stole a pair a near falls with quick roll ups before Valentine finally opened up his attack with big chops to the chest and forearm hammers eventually leading to an atomic skullcrusher for a two count. Allen battled back and the action went back and forth. Allen took to the top hitting back to back deathjump smashes. Allen then picked up a two and three quarters count with a deathjump crossbody block that the fans thought would end it. Allen went back to the top for another deathjump smash. Valentine could barely regain his feet and when he did Allen was ready with a belly to belly suplex to end it. Jimmy Snuka downed Commonwealth Champion Buddy Rogers to win the title. The fans were solidly behind the Superfly who started off strong with chops and headbutts. Rogers could barely hand onto a headlock in an effort to slow his challenger down. Nature Boy managed to stop the momentum of his opponent with a piledriver but the advantage was short lived after Snuka countered a charged to the corner with a knee to the chest. Snuka took over with a piledriver of his own followed by a leap frog and chop and backbreaker. Rogers bailed but Snuka got the best of the Nature Boy outside as well before bringing the action back inside where Snuka connected with his Superfly Leap to get the three count from Morgan Dollar and claim the title (Snake Eyes!). News and Views: Jimmy Snuka is the new Commonwealth Champion after a dominating performance against Buddy Rogers . . .. Another hard loss for Bob Armstrong as he continues to slip further away from title contention . . . Joe Blanchard adds insult to defeat using Sam Houston’s own finisher to beat him . . . A frustrating night for the Redheads as they came out on the short end of a controversial decision. No doubt there will be further action between the Redheads and Vachons in the coming weeks . . . Magnum T.A. picks up his second consecutive victory over number one contender Johnny Valentine all but guaranteeing his title opportunity in the coming weeks . . . Randy Savage may have gotten past Brad Armstrong tonight but he has gotten the attention of “The Bullet” in the process . . . It might not have been pretty but Johnny Saint tonight gets the “W” in his return to the territory . . . Very impressive win for Jim Brunzell tonight but he is not likely finished with Ted DiBiase yet . . . Trillium action really delivered tonight . . . More intensity from the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express and Heavenly Bodies tonight with the Express coming back from the verge of defeat to claim the victory . . .

If it involves Johnny Valentine, of course it's going to be a slow epic. Nice to see savage win. Snuka gets the huge win. Nice upset by Brunzell and glad to see Saint grab a win.

September 29, 2019 – Card #52 – Windsor Arena, Windsor, Ontario
“Mr. Electricity” Steve Regal bested Ron Hutchison. The opening match was a bit of a snore fest with both men struggling to get beyond mid level offense. Hutchison worked the arm early on before Regal took control with plenty of dirty tactics including eye rakes and elbows to the face. Hutchison received a nice pop when he almost stole the win with a Kiwi Roll but Regal was able to kick out and eventually claimed the winner’s purse after a Ft. Lauderdale Leglock. Northern Lights Champion Chaz Taylor defeated While Bill White in a non-title match. White has a lot to say to Morgan Dollar before the bell and the official appears rattled by the experience. Once the action gets underway, the Northern Lights Champion sets things right dominating the action with his speed and agility after initially connecting with a running lariat. White kicks out after one Chaztizer but a second one immediately follows and gets the three count. Magnum T.A. beat Lou Albano. The story in this one early on was Allen throwing everything at Albano and just not being able to find the win. Albano survived an abdominal stretch and then kicked out after an atomic drop and again after a belly to belly suplex much to the shock of the fans. Albano then came back countering a backdrop with a chop to the throat. Albano went to work with chokes and eye rakes drawing great heat. Allen drew on the fans support and connected with a running forearm and dropkicks that turned the match back in his favour. Allen controlled the balance of the action until he connected with his belly to belly suplex finisher a second time to secure the win. Sam Houston downed Abdullah the Butcher w/Rock Riddle. Rock Riddle gets into the face of Morgan Dollar and Dollar responds sending Riddle to the back. Abdullah’s attack was vicious from the outset and thanks to multiple blows with a foreign object Houston lost just an incredible amount of blood. The fans did their best to lift Houston up and it worked as Houston dug deep and fired back against his much larger foe leading to a bulldog that nearly ended it. Abdullah regained control when he shoved Dr. Mike Lano into Houston during a brawl on the floor but made the critical error of attempting a deathump smash. Houston rolled clear and Abdullah crashed to the mat in a heap. Houston could barely roll Abdullah over but he did and received a two and half count from Dollar. From that point, the action went back and forth with both men soon becoming a bloody mess. Houston was able to connect with a dropkick to down Abdullah and then executed another bulldog to get the comeback victory.
Flying Redheads defeated Rock ‘n’ Roll Express by disqualification. This one was fast paced from the outset. The Redheads gained control of the action cutting off Robert Gibson. Bastien nearly ended it early first with an abdominal stretch near submission and then later with a big near fall after an Atomic Drop. Rick Morton got the hot tag and the momentum turned for the first of many times in the match. Billy Red Lyons rolled through a Morton cross body block for a two and three quarters count and later Morton rolled through a Lyons cross body for his own near fall. Gibson survived a figure four leglock from Lyons and Morton escaped Lyon’s sleeper. The Express began to carry the momentum and the action went to the floor. However, Heaven Bodies arrived at ringside with Jim Cornette and attacked Red Bastien which left the referee no choice but to disqualify the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express. The Express chased the Bodies and Cornette from ringside which left the Redheads open for an attack from the Vachon Brothers. But the Express quickly returned to assist and the faces cleared the ring with dropkicks all around. Johnny Saint submitted Joe Blanchard. Morgan Dollar is having a hard night as Joe Blanchard as some choice words for the official before the bell. Johnny Saint was able to gain the early control in this one and did not look back with his combination of holds and counters mixed in with the occasional dropkick for good measure. Blanchard had no answers tonight and the match ended with a three in one.
Nora Greenwald made a comeback to beat Tina Moretti. Greenwald was able to hit a flipping seated senton in the opening minute but could not get the three count after her finisher. Moretti battled back with slams and suplexes that punisher her opponent for several minutes. Greenwald turned things around including an impressive handspring elbow for a near fall but Moretti retook control during a brawl on the floor in which Greenwald was shoved into the ring post. A jumping facebuster nearly ended it but Greenwald kicked out at the last second. The action went back and forth from that point. Moretti was able to slam Greenwald from the top of the corner to the mat to get control but a pair of somersault neckbreakers did some damage for Greenwald who was able to connect with a second flipping seated senton to claim the win a few minutes later. Vachons stunned Heavenly Bodies w/Jim Cornette. Morgan Dollar was wearing the stripes. This one was a shocker. Stan Lane started in against Mad Dog Vachon but could not get anything going which lead to Tom Pritchard tagging in. However, Mad Dog quickly gained control and caught Pritchard with a running knee lift that knocked him into next week and gave the Vachon’s the victory in less than two minutes.
Armstrongs & Island Flyers downed Ted DiBiase, Blackjack Mulligan, Buddy Rogers & “Macho Man” Randy Savage. This was another shocker. “Jumping” Jim Brunzell stepped into the ring against Blackjack Mulligan and showed no fear of his larger foe dropping him with a forearm uppercut and then landing a jumping knee smash for a two count. Brunzell then wrapped up the legs of Mulligan in figure four leglock and Mulligan submitted. None of the other participants see any action at all!
In a best of three falls match, Canadian Heavyweight Champion Lou Thesz defeated Johnny Valentine 2-0. Morgan Dollar calls for the bell. After a pair of quick matches, the fans settled in for what they anticipated to be a long encounter. Valentine and Thesz traded counters to perfection. Valentine was able to get the upper hand during a brawl on the floor that was captured close up by Dr. Mike Lano. Later, they went back to the floor and a reversal sent Valentine into the ring post busting him open. The battle continued and the challenger made use of a char and Thesz was also wearing the crimson mask. Back in the ring, a bloodied Thesz managed to kick out after an atomic skullcrusher. Thesz came back scoring a near fall after an airplane spin and then following with a Greco-Roman backdrop to claim the first fall of the match. Thesz took control of the second fall immediately with a double leg pickup to slam. Thesz followed with an airplane spin and then connected with a Thesz Press to retain the title in two straight falls.
News and Views: What a comeback victory for Sam Houston tonight. Absolutely incredible to witness . . . The Vachon’s have earned their rematch against Canadian Open Tag Team Champions Valiant Brothers next week with a shockingly quick victory over the Heavenly Bodies . . . Chaz Taylor looked impressive tonight . . . Steve Regal’s win in the opener was anything but “Electric” . . . Magnum T.A. continued his winning ways but really struggled despite taking a step backwards in competition. Only time and opportunity will tell if he is really ready for a title shot . . . The stock of “Jumping” Jim Brunzell took another bump tonight with a stunning submission of Blackjack Mulligan as part the eight man tag team encounter . . . A really fun encounter between Nora Greenwald and Tina Moretti tonight that left the fans wanting more from the two Trillium division competitors . . . Heavenly Bodies spoiled a classic tag team encounter tonight but then were crushed in their battle to become the number one contender’s for the Canadian Open Tag Tea, Championship . . . With another impressive victory, this time over the former Northern Lights Champion, Johnny Saint seems poised for a shot at Chaz Taylor and his Northern Lights Title . . .
Up next, Maple Leaf Wrestling kicks off year two will a show from the Simcoe Arena in Simcoe, Ontario as part of the Norfolk Fair festivities in an event featuring appearance by all the title holders : • Top contenders of the Northern Lights division collide when Joe Blanchard meets Sam Houston one on one • Randy Savage has turned his attention to “Bullet” Bob Armstrong and they will meet in single action with both men looking to move one step closer to a title shot • Blackjack Mulligan will be looking to make up for his embarrassing performance tonight when he battles top contender Magnum T.A. • Buddy Rogers is looking towards his rematch next week with Jimmy Snuka for the Commonwealth Title but he had better save some of his concentration for Simcoe because he will be facing Johnny Saint who been on an impressive streak since arriving in Ontario • One of the hottest feuds over the past few weeks has been between Ted DiBiase and Jim Brunzell and their conflict will continue when they clash in a best of three falls match • Rock ‘n’ Roll Express have also been involved in a hot conflict as then continue to look to rid the area of Jim Cornette and his Heavenly Bodies and the two sides will battle once again • Canadian Open Tag Team Champions Valiant Brothers will defend their titles against the Vachons in a rematch from Maple Leaf Gardens when the two sides tore it up • In a special tag team challenge match, the Flying Redheads will take on the team of Canadian Heavyweight Champion Lou Thesz and Commonwealth Champion Jimmy Snuka
Promotor’s Brain I still cannot believe that it has been one year since I started to roll out this federation. It has been a blast to book and play out the bouts for the last 52 weeks. If I had to pick a wrestler of the year, it would come down to Buddy Rogers or Lou Thesz. Thesz is a three time Canadian Champion and Rogers is a three time Commonwealth Champion. Both men have been at the top of the card for the entire year. I am giving the edge to Rogers on the basis of his victory over Thesz at the Frank Tunney Memorial Tournament, a tournament the Nature Boy would go onto co-win. In tag team action, the first half of the year belonged to the Original Midnight Express. The second belonged to the Valiant Brothers. I am picking the Valiant Brothers, but just barely. Thanks for following along.

Big upset by Houston. Nice to see Molly grab a win as well as Saint and Regal. Thesz remains beastly and whoever drops him for the belt will have earned it.
