Bob Armstrong defeated Larry Hennig by disqualification. It was clear that Hennig was out to punish The Bullet from the outset as he used his size and power and dominate the action in the ring with punches and forearms. Armstrong rolled to the floor and Hennig followed grabbing a chair and smashing it over the back of Armstrong. The fans were livid and the official decided to disqualify Hennig who continued to hammer away on Armstrong until Brad Armstrong arrived with a chair of his own to break up the attack before his father could be injured. Curt Hennig came to ringside and dragged his father to the back while the fans showered the Double Axe Attack with boos.
Flying Redheads downed Texas Hangmen. Psycho and Killer really took it to the Redheads early on as they managed to cut off Billy Red Lyons from his partner and worked him over with power and brutality. Hangmen’s Noose and Hangmen’s Hammer did damage and twice Red Bastien had to save his partner from a HANGMEN’S BACKBREAKER. Lyons was able to get the hot tag and the match was on from that point. The Redheads gained momentum and pin saves prevented the match from ending with a SLEEPERHOLD to Killer and a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK to Psycho. In the end, the Redheads had too many skills and Lyons scored the win with a SLEEPER to Killer.
Del Wilkes destroyer Wild Bill White. Wilkes came to the ring fired up and the dismantled White in and out of the ring. In the end, an UNCLE SLAM put White away for the three count.
“Exotic” Adrian Street over Johnny Mantell. Mantell had the fans behind him and took control of the match early on. A forearm uppercut stunned Street but he was able to avoid a knee drop and hit his own European uppercut that backed Mantell into the corner. Street followed with a running splash and that was enough for Morgan Dollar to hit the mat three times.
Abdullah The Butcher defeated Bruiser Brody. Brody came to the ring with his chain swinging but once the bell rung, it was the Butcher who lead the chaos quickly smashing a ringside table into Brody during a brawl on the floor. Back in the ring, Abdullah used a foreign object to bloody Brody and later connected with a karate thrust to the throat. Butcher rocked the fans and Brody with an elbow drop from the second rope that nearly broke the ring. Butcher capped off the match with a SUDANESE MEAT CLEAVER to get the dominating victory. The Texas Hangman arrive suddenly and join Butcher for a huge beat down on Brody. The Hangmen choke out Brody with their bullrope. Jimmy Snuka arrives but cannot get past the Hangmen which allows Butcher to use Brody’s on chain on him leaving Brody in a bloody heap.
Brad Armstrong over Curt Hennig by disqualification. Morgan Dollar had strict instructions for both competitors before the bell. Henning control the action in the ring after countering a belly to belly suplex attempt from Armstrong. The Axe drops Armstrong for a two count and Henning takes the battle to the floor. Hennig grabs a chair and smashes Armstrong with the weapon. Dollar calls for the bell. Hennig is not finished but Bob Armstrong quickly arrives to stop the attack. He is followed by Larry Hennig and all four men brawl until security is out again to break things up.
Magnum T.A. defeated Alexis Smirnoff. This was a back and forth encounter that had a great pace to it from beginning to end. Both men showcased their skills at various points with Smirnoff’s power on display early on and later Allen using his speed and agility to mount an impressive comeback including a near perfect deathjump cross body block that nearly ended it. Allen appeared to have the match won after a BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX but Ivan Koloff came out nowhere and blasted Allen with a clothesline. This allowed Smirnoff to hit his feared HEART PUNCH but Allen was able to kick out of the cover. Del Wilkes came to ringside and brawled with Koloff to the back while Smirnoff attempted to put Allen away. However, Allen was able to come back and picked up the victory with a scorpion death lock submission.
Johnny Saint defeated Northern Lights Champion Joe Blanchard to win the title. The story in this one was the defensive skills of the challenge and former champion Saint who was able to frustrate Blanchard for long stretches of the match. Blanchard did manage to apply his finishing ABDOMINAL STRETCH but Saint found a way out and the action carried on. Saint used his own weapons including THE ROSS ABBOTT and later a THREE IN ONE but Blanchard was not the easy to put away. Blanchard was smart enough to avoid THE JOHNNY SAINT SPECIAL but eventually found himself caught in another THREE IN ONE and Saint regained the title.
Jimmy Snuka & Canadian Open Tag Team Champions Rock ‘n’ Roll Express over Valiant Brothers & Shane Douglas w/Francine. The fans were treated to an early exchange between Snuka and Douglas in which Snuka dominated Douglas. The Express kept the pressure on and had the match won after a DOUBLE DROPKICK but the timely distraction of Francine kept the match going. Morton connected with a CROSS BODY BLOCK for another near fall and then the Express landed another DOUBLE DROPKICK to finish off Douglas.
Mad Dog Vachon defeated Canadian Heavyweight Champion “Macho Man” Randy Savage w/Sherri Martel. Morgan Dollar has some strict instructions for both men. Vachon has had an inconstant record in the past but managed to make his way into title contention. It was clear that Vachon was going to make the most of it and was the aggressor from the outset picking up a pair of pin attempts before connecting with a PILEDRIVER. Savage kicked out and Vachon landed a Mad Dog Pounce and covered but Martel was able to distract Dollar. Vachon did not lose focus and soon crushed Savage with another PILEDRIVER but Martel was able to put Savage’s foot on the ropes to save his title.
