AMERICA’S FINEST PRO WRESTLING BARNSTORMING TOUR CIRCA 1920’s SHOW 18 TULSA, OK – TULSA CONVENTION HALL (Promoter Marco Epstein is in the center of the ring.) Epstein: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to America’s Finest Pro Wrestling. Today you will see the best pro wrestlers in this great country of ours. You will also see some familiar faces as some of your friends will be competing in the ring today. (Suddenly, there is a commotion at the entry way as Edward Gilbert appears and makes his way to the ring.) Mr. Gilbert, I don’t believe you have a match here today. Gilbert: And that sir is why you are a nitwit. I am obviously the best wrestler in this area and should have a match at every event you have. That’s what all these people paid to see any way. (Crowd boos.) See, they love me. Epstein: Right, I’m not sure that’s what these fine folks are expressing. Regardless, if you want a match here today, I’ll allow it. The card is pretty full, but I’m sure there’s someone in the dressing area that would love to have the opportunity to wrestle you here today. (After several seconds, ‘Big’ Sue Jackson and Heidi the Riveter make their way to the ring.) Gilbert: What is this, a two on one? What kind of outfit are you running here, Epstein? Epstein: I don’t think that’s what they had in mind. Gilbert: Oh, so I have to wrestle this baby grand, boozehound crasher? Jackson: Nope. Gilbert: Then who? (With that Heidi is all over Gilbert, as Epstein and Jackson exit the ring.) Heidi The Riveter w/‘Big’ Sue Jackson vs. Edward GilbertHeidi peppered Gilbert with closed fists and slaps before connecting with a big kick to the head, which knocked Gilbert down, leaving him dazed. Heidi followed up with a FROG SPLASH, but she missed her mark as Gilbert rolled out of the way. Gilbert made a comeback, but when the action spilled out of the ring, the tide turned again. Heidi distracted the ref while Jackson decked Gilbert with a big hay maker. Back in the ring Heidi was a house afire again and as she came off the top rope again, Gilbert pulled the referee into her flight path. The ref went down and Heidi took advantage, smashing a wooden chair over the back of Gilbert. Heidi continued her assault as the referee recovered, but missed another FROG SPLASH and Gilbert made the pin.(Gilbert mocked Heidi and Jackson as he left the ring.) Masked Superstars (Masked Superstar & Masked Superstar II) vs. Maurice & Paul VachonThe Vachons showed their chemistry by executing multiple quick tags that kept their opponents off balance. Maurice pinned Superstar after a double foot stomp.Robert Roop vs. Nicholas ValentinoThis match up between these two amateur wrestling technicians proved to be quite contest. Valentino dominated Roop early, but Roop recovered. Valentino became frustrated and used some dirty tactics in an attempt to gain the upper hand, decking Roop with a metal object, but Valentino wasn’t able to translate it into a victory. As a matter of fact, it seemed to greatly raised the ire of Roop, who really turned it on and beat Valentino with a SHOULDER BREAKER.‘Ox’ Baker Monroe w/Mary Elizabeth Monroe & Gregory Iron vs. Rag Time Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton)Iron showed a great amount of confidence as ‘Ox’ gave him a pep-talk before the match began. The Express wasn’t able to get out of the gates as Iron and Monroe showed some surprising chemistry for a makeshift team. Monroe caught Gibson in a big bear hug and didn’t let go. Monroe squeezed so hard he may’ve injured Gibson, who screamed in pain a split second before giving up.(Dr. Jacob Omen and Nurse Britt Baker examined Gibson after the match and along with Morton assisted him to the dressing area.) Jeff King vs. Shane DouglasKing seemed very deliberate in the early going and may’ve under estimated his young, inexperienced opponent. Douglas turned the tide and went on the offensive, inflicting a lot of punishment on King. The action spilled out of the ring, where King countered a with a slam on the hard floor. King delivered another hard slam outside the ring, after which Douglas showed the effects, barely able to get to his feet and roll back into the ring. King continued to punish the back of Douglas, but when the action spilled out of the ring again, Douglas erupted and sent King into the fans at ringside. King countered by smashing a wooden chair across Douglas’ back. The referee missed it as he was trying to make his way into the crowd in an attempt to get the competitors back in the ring. Once the action returned to the ring, both men continued to battle back and forth. King attempted to climb to the top turnbuckle, but Douglas met him and slung him to the mat. Douglas then delivered a splash from the top and gained the pinfall. The French Connection (Robert Mailett & Maurice Tillet) vs. Ted DiBiase & Steve WilliamsThese two teams beat the hell out of each other, but the team of DiBiase and Williams was better with the rough housing. Williams pinned Mailett after an OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE.Marion Fontaine vs. Bradley ArmstrongFontaine looked to make this a pugilistic contest, restorting to using fisticuffs. Armstrong used his speed to avoid the majority of Fontaine’s fists of fire. Fontaine did manage to gain the upper hand and beat Armstrong with a neckbreaker.AMERICA’S FINEST TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH The Jackson County Jeepers (Clean & Jerk) vs. Isaias Velasquez & Craig MitchellThis was a very spirited back and forth contest. Velasquez and Mitchell isolated Clean in their corner and worked over his legs, trying to weaken the base of his power. Clean finally escaped the corner and made the tag. Jerk was able to catch Velasquez and used his powerful hand strength to make him submit to the JEEPER SQUEEZE to win the titles.PRIDE OF AMERICA TITLE MATCH Matthew Cross vs. John Abraham LincolnTwo honorable men fighting for the top prize of the tour. The match began with a handshake as both sportsmen showed their respect for each other. Both men battled back and forth, but it was Lincoln’s size and weight advantage the made the difference. Lincoln caught Cross with an arm bar and used his weight and leverage to work Cross to the mat and hold him down for the pin. Cross was frustrated after the match, but shook his hand.(Epstein entered the ring and shook Cross’ hand, congratulating him on a great match, albeit a loss. Epstein presented Lincoln the title belt then addressed the crowd.) Epstein: Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for coming out today. I hope you enjoyed the matches we presented today, but it is time for us to move on down the road. Next up on our tour is New Orleans. Thank you for your hospitality and hopefully we’ll be back this way again sometime.

Just read through this fed and I'm loving what I'm visualizing
If you're going to have the Rag Time Express, you've got to give them "Maple Leaf Rag" as a theme song
Is there a card out there of Bob Roop? I'd love to know where you got yours
Keep up the great work

I never saw a lot of Bob Roop, but from what I have seen he's definitely a solid guy and with his amateur background, I wish he would've gotten more of a push.

I never saw a lot of Bob Roop, but from what I have seen he's definitely a solid guy and with his amateur background, I wish he would've gotten more of a push. I'm giving away my age here, but I saw him on Georgia Championship Wrestling as a teenager. Fantastic mat based wrestler; he could have given Kurt Angle or Buzz Sawyer all they could handle in a straight wrestling match. I think I'm going to purchase his card.

AMERICA’S FINEST PRO WRESTLING BARNSTORMING TOUR CIRCA 1920’s SHOW 19 NEW ORLEANS, LA – COLISEUM ARENA (Promoter Marco Epstein is in the center of the ring.) Epstein: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to America’s Finest Pro Wrestling. Today you will see the best pro wrestlers this great country has to offer. Today you will see if a young upstart with a burgeoning pro wrestling career can become the Pride of America. It could happen. A couple of angry Canadians could become America’s Finest Tag Team. Only time will tell. We’ll start things off today with the team that you, the fans, have asked for and that’s the Rag Time Express. Rag Time Express (Robert Gibson & Richard Morton) vs. The French Connection (Robert Mailett & Maurice Tillet)The Rag Time Express comes to the ring to the ‘Maple Leaf Rag’, while The French Connection entered the arena to ‘La Marseillaise’. The French connection wasted no time in overpowering their popular opponents. The fans showered The French Connection with boos as they beat up Gibson and Morton, but the Rag Time Express held tough and showed exactly what they were made of when the match broke down and a wild brawl erupted. The referee could not regain control of the match and disqualified both teams, much to the displeasure of the crowd.Allie Cat vs. Leilani KaiBoth of these lovely ladies made their pro wrestling debut in this match. Cat dominated the majority of the match, causing a frustrated Kai to lose her temper and pull Cat out of the ring, where she smashed her into the ring post. Kai continued her assault, but Cat recovered. When the fight returned to the ring the action continued back and forth for several minutes. Kai eventually gained the advantage and the victory with a scoop slam. After the match Judy Martin appeared and attacked Cat from behind. Martin and Kai began to double team Cat, when Nurse Britt Baker rushed into the ring from where she was sitting at ringside with Dr. Jacob Omen. Baker evened the odds and all four women brawled momentarily until the fight was broken up by several referees.Isaias Velasquez & Craig Mitchell vs. Masked Superstars (Masked Superstar & Masked Superstar II)The Superstars used their power to maintain the advantage throughout most of the match. Velasquez and Mitchell did get their licks in. Velasquez even gained a near fall after the HAMMER OF DAWN. It wasn’t enough though and Superstar made Velasquez submit to the COBRA HOLD.Nicholas Valentino vs. Bradley ArmstrongValentino was his regular cocky self, but he backed it up in the ring. Armstrong looked outmatched, but Valentino grew frustrated and when the action spilled out of the ring, he grabbed a wooden chair. The referee tried to stop Valentino, but Valentino would have none of it and shoved the referee out of the way. The referee immediately called for the bell and disqualified Valentino.‘Big’ Sue Jackson & Heidi The Riveter vs. Edward Gilbert & Judy MartinGilbert ran his mouth before he even got to the ring. He taunted the fans, who were booing him as well as his opponents. Martin eyeballed and had some words for Nurse Britt Baker at ringside. Heidi was raring to go, but Jackson held her back. Heidi finally got by Sue and was all over Gilbert. Heidi had Gilbert reeling until she tried a move from the top turnbuckle and Gilbert tossed her from her perch. Gilbert had things going his way until he missed a turnbuckle charge and Heidi rolled him up for a near fall. Heidi followed up with a FROG SPLASH and gained a near fall. Heidi continued her assault, but eventually tagged Jackson. Jackson maintained the advantage until the action spilled out of the ring and Gilbert made a comeback. The acton continued back and forth with both teams executing multiple tags. Heidi was finally able to make Martin submit to a scorpion leg hold.‘Ox’ Baker Monroe w/Mary Elizabeth Monroe & Gregory Iron vs. Ted DiBiase & Steve WilliamsWilliams successfully matched power with Baker early on, but Baker was able to recover when the action left the ring. Baker tagged out and Iron maintained the advantage. Iron gained a near fall with the FLYING BURRITO. Iron continued the assault against both of his opponents. The action spilled out of the ring again and the brawl continued. The referee could not regain control, deciding to count Iron and DiBiase out of the ring.Robert Roop vs. Marion FontaineRoop had some great fan support during this match. Fontaine held the advantage for most of the match, but Roop recovered first after a double clothesline, immediately delivered a SHOULDER BREAKER and pinned Fontaine.PRIDE OF AMERICA TITLE MATCH Shane Douglas vs. Pride of America John Abraham LincolnThe youngster, Douglas, was really looking to make a name for himself in this match. The match started out very sportsmanlike as Lincoln shook his opponent’s hand and wished him luck. Douglas maintained an early advantage, but Lincoln didn’t seem to panic. Lincoln bided his time and seemed to goad his young opponent into a false sense of security. Lincoln took advantage of Douglas’ confidence and exploded out of the corner with a skull splitting clothesline after a whip to the buckle. Douglas recovered and went on another offensive, but Lincoln countered. The action continued back and forth until Lincoln took advantage of a missed turnbuckle charge by Douglas. Lincoln took advantage of the mistake and didn’t allow Douglas a chance to recover. Lincoln beat Douglas with a THROAT LIFT SLAM.(After the match Lincoln helped Douglas to his feet and again shook his hand, congratulating him on a great match. The two men shared some pleasentries before leaving the ring together.) AMERICA’S BEST TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH Maurice & Paul Vachon vs. America’s Best Tag Team Champions The Jackson County Jeepers (Clean & Jerk)The challengers isolated Jerk immediately and took control of the match. Paul quickly delivered THE HANGMAN and pinned Jerk before anyone knew what happened.(As the pin was taking place Maurice knocked Clean from the apron. Maurice then helped his brother put a double team beating on Jerk. Referees rushed to the ring and restored order, but the damage had been done. The Vachons ripped the title belts from Promoter Marco Epstein’s hands before leaving the ringside area. Before they left, Clean was able to regain his wits and let the new champs know in no uncertain terms that they haven’t heard the last of the Jeepers.)
