LOCAL TRYOUT WINNERS Brian Blair - Blair was an outstanding high school athlete, excelling at both football and wrestling. It was only natural for Blair to attempt to make waves as a pro wrestler. Robert Shane - Shane is a selfish, borderline evil man, who allegedly ran one of the many illegal bolita lotteries in the area before it was taken over by Charlie Wall. Shane, extremely disappointed about losing his money making venture, decided he would try to make money as a pro wrestler. Michael Graham - Graham was a successful high school wrestler, coached by his father. Graham’s family is well known in the area and somewhat local celebrities, mainly for the number of state and district champions that were coached by Graham’s father, one of whom was Michael. James & John Valiant - Brothers James and John are both members of a local entertainment troupe, but were looking for an outlet for their competitiveness and decided pro wrestling was it. John & Gregory Valentine - Dysfunctional father and son team that don’t always get along, but they definitely have a chemistry in the ring that few can match. Robert & Barry Windham - Robert, a WWI veteran who lost his brother in the Great War, was urged by his son, Barry, to join him to attempt their hand at pro wrestling. Barry, whose father has been distant since returning from the war, is hoping this opportunity will bond them closer and fix whatever the war broke. Barry is a young man full of heart and wants nothing more than to make his father proud.

AMERICA’S FINEST PRO WRESTLING BARNSTORMING TOUR CIRCA 1920’s SHOW 24 TAMPA, FL – PLANT FIELD (Promoter Marco Epstein was in the ring with a mic.) Epstein: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to America’s Finest Pro Wrestling. Today you will see the best pro wrestling America has to offer. We have two title matches, where the challengers are former champions looking to regain the gold. Two young athletes will also lock up to see who the better wrestler is and the ladies will be in action as well. Without further ado, let the action begin. Robert Shane vs. ‘Big’ Sue Jackson w/Heidi The RiveterShane systematically wore down Jackson, trying to take out his legs with several submission holds. Shane thought he had the victory with a cross body block, but Heidi interrupted the count, allowing Jackson to make a bit of a comeback. The action continued back and forth until Jackson caught Shane with the CLOSE SHAVE and made the pin.The French Connection (Robert Mailett & Maurice Tillet) vs. John & Gregory ValentineAfter a fairly heated discussion Gregory started the match for his team against the bigger Mailett. Gregory attempted to match power with Mailett with negative results. Gregory caught Mailett being overzealous a couple of times, but couldn’t get much going offensively before John tagged himself in. Mailett quickly gained the advantage and tagged Tillet. The action continued back and forth until John gained the advantage, tagged Gregory and told him to finish the job. Gregory attempted to do just that as he put Mailett in the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK, but Tillet broke up the hold. John became frustrated with his son and looked to tag back in, but Gregory avoided his corner and pinned Mailett after a falling elbow hammer. The Valentines seemed to argue after the match, but by the time they reached the entry to the dressing area had reached agreement that it was a well deserved victory.John Abraham Lincoln vs. Marion FontaineLincoln had control most of the match, although Fontaine did gain a near fall after an avalanche splash in the corner. Lincoln finally put Fontaine away after two THROAT LIFT SLAMS.Isaias Velasquez & Craig Mitchell vs. James & John ValiantJames and John were intent on entertaining the crowd, but should’ve paid a little more attention to their match. Velasquez and Mitchell isolated James and wore him down. Mitchell delivered two DELAYED PACKAGE PILEDRIVERS before delivering a powerbomb piledriver. John tried to break up the pin, but Velasquez intercepted him and the ref counted three.Brian Blair vs. Shane Douglas w/John Abraham LincolnBlair took it right to Douglas. Douglas battled hard, but Blair had his number and put him away with a SLEEPER. After the match Lincoln revived Douglas and once Douglas regained his senses, Douglas was displeased to say the least. Lincoln tried to counsel him, but Douglas was having none of it. Douglas shoved Lincoln away and returned to the dressing area by himself.Mary Elizabeth Monroe & Heidi The Riveter vs. Allie Cat & Nurse Britt BakerThis was a brief exhibition, but all four ladies showed what they could do before Allie pinned Heidi following a PUSSYCAT PILEDRIVER.The Jeepers (Clean & Jerk) vs. Robert & Barry WindhamThe Windhams meant business in this match. They were all over The Jeepers from the opening bell. Barry pinned Jerk with a flying body press.Michael Graham vs. Matthew CrossGraham looked good, but the more experienced Cross made fairly quick work of him and made Graham submit to the BOW AND ARROW.AMERICA’S BEST TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH Maurice & Paul Vachon vs. America’s Best Tag Team Rag Time Express (Richard Morton & Robert Gibson)The champs were ready for this rematch and up to the challenge. It was all out, back and forth action for the entire match. Gibson locked Paul in the Gibson Leglock, but Maurice came into the ring to break it up. Morton cut Maurice off and Paul was made to submit or suffer a broken leg.PRIDE OF AMERICA TITLE MATCH Robert Roop vs. Pride of America Jeff KingThere were a lot of eyes on this match and not just from the crowd. Matthew Cross and John Abraham Lincoln took seats at ringside as well. Both men came to fight and battled back and forth for most of the match. King attempted a move from the top turnbuckle and inadvertently collided with the referee. At this point King decided he would take advantage of the ref being down and get dirty. King dragged Roop out of the ring and clobbered him with a metal pipe. Both Cross and Lincoln confronted King and exchanged words, but nothing physical transpired. King went on to wear Roop down with a BEAR HUG as Promoter Marco Epstein was finally able to revive the referee. Roop wiped the blood from his eyes and managed a comeback. Roop delivered a SHOULDER BREAKER and made the pin to regain the title.(After the match Epstein entered the ring and delivered the title belt to Roop. Cross and Lincoln also entered the ring and offered their congratulations. Epstein thanked the crowd for attending and announced America’s Best would be having an extended engagement in Tampa. He invited the fans to return for the next show.)

AMERICA’S FINEST PRO WRESTLING BARNSTORMING TOUR CIRCA 1920’s SHOW 25 TAMPA, FL – PLANT FIELD Robert Shane & Thunderkitty vs. ‘Ox’ Baker Monroe & Mary Elizabeth MonroeShane informed Thunderkitty that he would be starting the match and to stay on the apron until he needed her. Thunderkitty reluctantly took her spot in the corner. On the other side of the ring Baker offered for Mary Elizabeth to start the match and she accepted. The Monroes functioned well as a team and executed multiple tags while Shane ignored his corner. Thunderkitty eventually tagged herself in, much to the displeasure of Shane. The action continued back and forth until things got hairy outside the ring. Shane attempted to smash Mary Elizabeth with a wooden chair while the ladies brawled outside the ring, but missed and smashed Thunderkitty. Mary Elizabeth attempted to pound Shane, but he grabbed Mary Elizabeth by the throat. Baker got involved at this point and grabbed Shane. Baker hoisted Shane high above his head and launched Shane into the crowd. The ref realized he lost all control and disqualified both teams.Maurice & Paul Vachon vs. James & John ValiantBoth teams showed the chemistry one would expect from a team of brothers, executing multiple tags and being on the same page throughout. It was the Vachons that proved to be the better duo as Maurice pinned John following a gutbuster.Marion Fontaine vs. Shane DouglasDouglas had a real chip on his shoulder and showed an aggressiveness that had not been seen from him. Douglas didn’t waste much time in finding a wooden chair at ringside and smashing it over the head of Fontaine, splintering the chair. The ref disqualified Douglas, which didn’t seem to matter to Douglas as he got a few more clean shots in on Fontaine at ringside before returning to the dressing room in a huff. The French Connection (Robert Mailett & Maurice Tillet) vs. The Jeepers (Clean & Jerk)The French Connection was all over The Jeepers, overpowering their opponents. This match broke down in a hurry and as the teams brawled at ringside, Tillet smashed a wooden chair over the back of Clean. The ref disqualified Tillet, but the brawl did not stop. It took multiple constables to break up this fight, as well as Promoter Marco Epstein standing between the two teams once the constables separated them.Jeff King vs. Michael GrahamGraham took on another former champion and held his own once again. Graham frustrated King so much, King resorted to dirty tactics when he smashed a wooden chair over the back of Graham. The referee quickly disqualified King. The crowd really let King have it, even throwing rubbish at him after his bad form against the local hero.John & Gregory Valentine vs. Robert & Barry WindhamThe Valentines seemed to be on the same page this time around, but then the bell rang. Gregory started out against the senior Windham and Robert quickly gained the advantage. A frustrated John tagged himself in and took over. Robert battled back and the action continued back and forth. John gained the advantage again and put Robert away with an ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER. After the match the Valentines had words as the fans overheard John telling Gregory that was how it was done.John Abraham Lincoln vs. Brian BlairLincoln had his way with Blair throughout the match and made the cover after a headlock throw. Lincoln was attacked by Shane Douglas, who put the boots to his mentor before Blair recovered and ran Douglas off. Blair was disappointed when the referee informed him he was disqualified, but nonetheless helped Lincoln to his feet, apologized for Douglas’ actions and shook Lincoln’s hand.AMERICA’S BEST TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH Isaias Velasquez & Craig Mitchell vs. America’s Best Tag Team Champions Rag Time Express (Richard Morton & Robert Gibson)[/I] The action broke down early as both teams brawled at ringside. This match ended in a double count out.PRIDE OF AMERICA TITLE MATCH Matthew Cross vs. Pride of America Robert RoopCross finally got his shot at the Pride of America title and he was ready. Cross absorbed a lot of punishment and got his licks in as well. The action eventually broke down and both men were counted out as they brawled at ringside.(Promoter Marco Epstein entered the ring as the crowd voiced their displeasure with the ending of the match. Epstein acknowledged the crowd and apologized for this not necessarily being the best. He promised the next event would be better and invited the fans to return next time.)

AMERICA’S FINEST PRO WRESTLING BARNSTORMING TOUR CIRCA 1920’s SHOW 26 TAMPA, FL – PLANT FIELD (Promoter Marco Epstein is in the ring.) Epstein: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to America’s Finest Pro Wrestling. I assure you that is exactly what you will see here today. You will see the somewhat disfunctional Valentine family challenge to be America’s Finest Tag Team. Robert Shane will take on not one, but two opponents and Matthew Cross gets one more chance to be the Pride of America in a huge return match. Without further ado, let’s get to the action. Robert Shane vs. Mary Elizabeth Monroe & ThunderkittyThis was a great opening contest. Shane had his way with the ladies in the early going, but eventually Monroe and Thunderkitty were able to get on the same page. The action continued back and forth until Monroe pinned Shane after a bulldog.‘Big’ Sue Jackson w/Heidi The Riveter vs. Dr. Jacob Omen w/Nurse Britt BakerThis was a rare in ring appearance by America’s Finest’s ringside physician. Jackson gained the advantage and never looked back, beating Omen with the CLOSE SHAVE.Robert & Barry Windham vs. Maurice & Paul VachonThis was a wild back and forth encounter with both teams executing multiple tags. The action took place inside and outside the ring and it was outside the ring where this match ended in a double count out as Robert and Maurice brawled uncontrollably.Maurice Tillet vs. CleanThe action started out back and forth for several minutes before Clean gained the advantage. Eventually a frustrated Tillet used his strength advantage to gain the upper hand and threw Clean out of the ring. Tillet grabbed a wooden chair and the referee got in the way of him using it. Tillet shoved the referee out of the way and smashed Clean with the chair. The referee disqualified Tillet.John Abraham Lincoln & Michael Graham vs. Shane Douglas & Brian BlairThis is the first time Douglas has been in the ring on the opposite side of his former mentor. Lincoln tried to talk sense into Douglas, but the youngster was having none of it. It was also evident how tenuous the alliance was between Douglas and Blair as they had words throughout the match. It didn’t take long and this match broke down. Douglas smashed a wooden chair over the back of Lincoln and the referee disqualified Douglas. Douglas attempted to continue his assault, but was prevented from doing so by both Graham and Blair.Gregory Iron vs. Boogie Woogie ManJames Valiant decided to add a little more entertainment to this match by appearing as one of the characters from his stage act. Boogie Woogie Man is of course an enthusiast of boogie woogie music, which is slowly starting to find its way throughout the country. Gregory Iron enjoyed the schtick in the ring, but when the bell rang Iron was all business. Boogie Woogie held his own against his more experienced opponent and eventually got the victory after a neckbreaker. After a the match Boogie Woogie showed Iron a couple of dance moves and the two danced a little in the ring, entertaining the fans, before returning the the dressing area together.AMERICA’S BEST TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH John & Gregory Valentine vs. America’s Best Tag Team Champions Rag Time Express (Richard Morton & Robert Gibson)The Valentines continued to show their disfunction as they argued all the way to the ring. Gregory started the match for his team, but it really didn’t matter as John quickly tagged himself in. Regardless of the disfunction from their opponents, the champs had their hands full. John maintained the advantage throughout the match before tagging his son and telling him to finish the job. Gregory did just that by taking a couple of minutes to injure Gibson’s legs before locking on the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Morton tried to save his partner, but he was intercepted by John and Gibson was forced to submit or risk a serious injury.(After the match Promoter Marco Epstein entered the ring and presented the America’s Best Tag Team titles to the new champs. John was elated and hugged his son multiple times as Gregory tentatively accepted his father’s affection.) PRIDE OF AMERICA TITLE MATCH Matthew Cross vs. Pride of America Robert RoopCross nearly gained an immediate victory after countering a sunset flip attempt into a pinning combination. Roop acknowledged his blunder and congratulated Cross on taking advantage and nearly regaining the title. Cross didn’t stop there and tried to get the early victory a couple more times before things settled down and both men exchanged holds. Cross began to systematically wear Roop down, but Roop battled back. Cross finally locked in the BOW AND ARROW. It took several minutes as Roop tried to escape the hold, but Cross held on and Roop finally submitted.(Promoter Marco Epstein again entered the ring. Epstein shook Roop’s hand and congratulated him on a hard fought match before presenting the title belt to Cross and presenting him as once again the Pride of America. Roop congratulated Cross and shook his hand before exiting the ring. Cross acknowledged the crowd as they showed their respect for the new champion. Epstein thanked the fans and expressed his appreciation for their hospitality, but informed them America’s Finest Wrestling would be moving on down the road to the Atlanta, Georgia area. He invited the fans to follow them, but if not he expressed his desire to see them again in the future.)
