Nice to see Roop take the gold. Roop owned Lincoln in both of their matches. The only reason Roop lost the first encounter was Douglas' interference.

AMERICA’S FINEST PRO WRESTLING BARNSTORMING TOUR CIRCA 1920’s SHOW 22 KNOXVILLE, TN – CASWELL PARK (Promoter Marco Epstein is in the center of the ring.) Epstien: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to America’s Finest Pro Wrestling. Today you will see the best pro wrestlers this great country has to offer. We crowned two new champions at our last stop, up the road in Memphis. You all have the privilege of seeing their first title defense. We also have ladies action here today. Plus a first for America’s Finest, a wrestling bear. Sit back or get on your feet and cheer your favorites. Either way please enjoy. Leslie Thatcher vs. William DundeeBoth of these young men were looking to have a good showing in front of their friends and family. After both men battled back and forth early on, Thatcher gained the advantage. Thatcher systematically wore Dundee down possibly in an attempt to gain a submission victory. Dundee battled back, but Thatcher countered. The action continued back and forth as the action spilled out of the ring. The two men engaged in a huge brawl outside the ring and both men are counted out. Tracy Smothers & Victor The Wrestling Bear w/Thomas Rich vs. Al Costello & Roy HeffernanSmothers led the way as Rich followed, leading Victor to the ring. Costello and Heffernan were a little confused by their opponents, specifically Victor. As the match began, Victor roamed around ringside near his corner. Rich attempted to get Victor on the ring apron, but Victor balked. Smothers held his own early, but Costello and Heffernan took advantage of what eventually became a two on one encounter. They wore Smothers out with multiple high impact moves. Smothers attempted to make a tag several times, but Victor was yet to make it up on the apron. Rich was finally able to get Victor on the apron and Victor paced the ring apron. Smothers attempted a tag, but Victor was in the other corner. Costello and Heffernan continued to capitalize, but Smothers was finally able to make the tag. Victor just stared at him. Smothers demanded Victor get in the ring and Victor responded by looking around. Finally Smothers slapped Victor, which definitely got Victor’s attention. Victor roared at Smothers then slowly entered the ring as Smothers begged off. Victor chased Smothers around the ring until Smothers jumped over the top rope and landed on the floor. Victor growled and snarled at Smothers from the ring then got distracted. Victor turned his attention to his opponents and started to make his way toward them. Victor rose on his hind legs as he approached and Smothers took this opportunity to reenter the ring and jump on Victor’s back, attempting to put him in a choke hold. Victor flipped Smothers off and onto his back. Smothers was in real trouble now as Rich entered the ring in an attempt to distract Victor. Victor was initially distracted, but Smothers again attempted to sneak up on Victor and Victor became enraged. Victor took a swipe at Rich then at Smothers. Both men quickly escaped and made their way to the back. Ironically it was Costello and Heffernan that were ultimately able to calm Victor down. They coaxed Victor into laying on the mat then Heffernan laid on top to get the pin. After the match, Costello and Heffernan found some raw fish to give to Victor for a job well done.Allie Cat vs. ThunderkittyAllie dominated Thunderkitty. Allie looked great in the match, but Thunderkitty used her ring savvy and when the action spilled out of the ring, Thunderkitty engaged Allie in huge brawl. Thunderkitty figured if she couldn’t beat Allie in the ring, she would get them both counted out and that’s exactly what she did.Maurice & Paul Vachon vs. Stanley Lane & Thomas PrichardThe former America’s Finest Tag Team had a chip on their shoulder as they tried to get back on the winning track. The Vachons had their way early, but Lane and Prichard battled back. Lane and Prichard gained a near fall with the ROCKET LAUNCHER. Lane and Prichard continued to control the action and Lane pinned Paul after a FLAPJACK.‘Ox’ Baker Monroe w/Mary Elizabeth Monroe vs. Matthew CrossCross had words for Monroe as the match began, telling him he should mind his own business. Monroe just grinned and the two locked up. Cross was determined to match strength with the stronger Monroe and believe it or not he had some success. Monroe seemed bored as Cross tried to move his mountain of an opponent, but Cross took advantage of Monroe’s nonchalance and got the victory with a Flagpole Press. After the match Cross called out Robert Roop and said he was coming for him and he would be the Pride of America once again.Isaias Velasquez & Craig Mitchell vs. The Jeepers (Clean & Jerk)The Jeepers beat their opponents handily when Clean pinned Velasquez after a JOLLYVILLE SHOULDER BREAKER.Robert Armstrong vs. Shane Douglas w/John Abraham LincolnThis ended up being a very competitive contest. Lincoln offered guidance from ringside and it seemed to have an impact on Douglas’ strategy in a positive way as after several minutes of back and forth action, Douglas put Armstrong away with a BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX.AMERICA’S FINEST TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH The French Connection (Robert Mailett & ) vs. America’s Finest Tag Team Rag Time Express (Richard Morton & Robert Gibson)Before the match it was announced Tillet’s arm was injured (it was in a sling) and he could not compete so Mailet was allowed to find a suitable partner to compete and Mailett selected a giant of a man. This man ambled to the ring and stepped over the top rope. He was introduced as Fessik Roussimoff. The Express definitely had their work cut out for them against their much larger foes in their first title defense. The Frenchman took advantage of their size and strength, tossing their opponents around the ring. At one point Morton was thrown out of the ring at the feet of Tillet. Tillet grabbed Morton and slammed him on the ground as Mailet distracted the ref, showing no ill-effects of his injured arm. Tillet quickly put his arm back in the sling before the ref realized what happened. The match continued as The French Connection continued to dominate America’s Finest Tag Team, but the The Express was not to be deterred. The action once again spilled out of the ring, where Mailet looked to put Morton away, but the teamwork of the Rag Time Express was not to be denied. Mailet slammed Morton on the ground, but as he turned to gloat, Gibson leaped off the apron with a dropkick. Mailet stumbled backward and fell over Morton, who was still down behind him. Mailet hit his head hard on the ground and was not able to make it back into the ring, giving the Rag Time Express the count out victory and a successful title defense.PRIDE OF AMERICA TITLE MATCH Jeff King vs. Pride of America Robert RoopAs the match began Matthew Cross made his way to ringside. Roop showed confidence as the match began, even telling Cross that Cross was dreaming if he thought he was going to get a match against him, much less beat him. Roop probably should have paid more attention to his opponent because King came to fight. King wrestled a fine match, but Roop seemed game for the most part. Cross provided a timely distraction, allowing King to catch Roop with a backbreaker. King made the cover and Cross grabbed Roop's feet from outside the ring, making it impossible for Roop to kick out before the referee made the three count.(Roop was in disbelief as Marco Epstein entered the ring and presented the title belt to King, unaware of Cross’ interference. King celebrated in the ring as Roop plead his case to Epstein. Roop’s complaints fell of deaf ear as Epstein thanked the crowd for coming and explained they would be heading down the road to Dothan, Alabama. He invited the fans to make the trip if they could, but if they couldn’t hopefully he would see these fine folks again some day.)

AMERICA’S FINEST PRO WRESTLING BARNSTORMING TOUR CIRCA 1920’s SHOW 23 DOTHAN, AL – BAKER FIELD (Promoter Marco Epstein was in the ring with a mic.) Epstein: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to America’s Finest Pro Wrestling. Today you will see the best pro wrestling America has to offer. Jeff King became the Pride of America at our last stop and today he defends that title against the youngster, Shane Douglas. America’s Best Tag Team The Rag Time Express face a tough test in The Jeepers and Robert Roop will take out his frustrations on Matthew Cross because he believes Cross cost him the Pride of America title. We have all that action plus some of your friends and neighbors competing as well as a wrestling bear. Let the the action begin. John Abraham Lincoln vs. Marion FontaineLincoln dominated and beat Fontaine with a THROAT LIFT SLAM.Isaias Velasquez & Craig Mitchell vs. Stanley Lane & Thomas PrichardThe action went back and forth for most of the match, but ultimately Lane and Prichard gained the advantage. They connected with a ROCKET LAUNCHER and Prichard went for the pin on Velasquez, but Mitchell broke it up. Lane and Prichard connected with a second ROCKET LAUNCHER and Mitchell delivered a dead lift German suplex on Lane as he attempted a pin. The referee had enough and called for the disqualification.Al Costello vs. ‘Big’ Sue Jackson w/Heidi The RiveterCostello is a proven tag team wrestler, but showed he could excel as a single as well. Costello held his own against the bigger Jackson and had him on the ropes multiple times throughout the match. Jackson was not to be deterred though, as Jackson battled back and beat Costello with a senton. The French Connection (Robert Mailett & Maurice Tillet) w/Fessik Roussimoff vs. Robert Armstrong & Leslie ThatcherTillet seemed to be fully recovered from his ‘arm injury’. Roussimoff interacted with the fans in a friendly manner for most of the match. Armstrong and Thatcher held their own against the larger French Connection. The action spilled out of the ring multiple times and on the final time, Roussimoff delivered a headbutt to the back of Armstrong’s head with such force it caused Armstrong to headbutt Tillet, who Armstrong was brawling with. Both men were seemingly unconscious and counted out.Robert Roop vs. Matthew CrossThis match was intense as both men came right at each other, focused on proving superiority. Both men battered each other from pillar to post, inside and outside the ring. Cross finally wore Roop down enough to get him to submit to the BOW AND ARROW. After the match Roop offered his hand in a show of respect. Cross reluctantly shook the hand of Roop and Roop raised Cross’ hand in victory, admitting he had been the better man on this day.Gregory Iron & Mary Elizabeth Monroe w/‘Ox’ Baker Monroe vs. Nicholas Valentino & ThunderkittyThunderkitty wanted to start the match against Iron, but Valentino told her he would handle it. Iron held the advantage early on, but Valentino recovered. Iron tagged Monroe and Monroe gained a quick advantage. Monroe locked in the RAINBOW CROSS and fell back to gain more leverage. Thunderkitty came into the ring, seemingly to break up the hold, but paused. Thunderkitty delivered a well placed kick to Valentino’s ribs and headed to the dressing area. Valentino submitted a short moment later.[/I] Tracy Smothers w/Thomas Rich vs. Victor The Wrestling Bear w/Al Costello & Roy HeffernanSmothers got a few shots in early, peppering Victor with big right hands, but from there it was really all Victor. Victor finally put Smothers out of his misery when he pinned him following an overhook takedown. Victor took his time getting off of Smothers following the pin, which Smothers took exception to. Smothers bad mouthed Victor then slapped him a couple of times. Victor became enraged and mauled Smothers, but Smothers managed a quick escape, only to have Victor chase him back to the dressing area.AMERICA’S FINEST TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH The Jeepers (Clean & Jerk) vs. America’s Finest Tag Team Rag Time Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton)The Jeepers were looking to regain what they thought was rightfully theirs in the America’s Finest Tag Team Title. They had their work cut out because the Rag Time Express were game champions. This was a hard hitting, very competitive tag team match. Both teams battled back and forth, but the champs came out on top when Morton pinned Clean with a CROSSBODY BLOCK.PRIDE OF AMERICA TITLE MATCH Shane Douglas w/John Abraham Lincoln vs. Pride of America Jeff KingThis was the biggest match of Douglas’ young career. King, the grizzled veteran, wasn’t impressed with the youngster or his mentor at ringside and let them both know as such. This match was all Douglas, as his youth and athleticism shined through. Douglas gained several near falls, but was just unable to keep King’s shoulders down for three. Douglas grew frustrated and the action spilled out of the ring. Douglas momentarily picked up a chair, but Lincoln persuaded him to not use it. Instead Douglas connected with a running cross body block on the outside of the ring, causing King to hit his head hard on the ground. Lincoln implored Douglas to get back in the ring, which he did, leading to King being counted out.(Douglas was elated as Marco Epstein entered the ring with the Pride of America belt, but Douglas’ demeanor changed as Epstein advised both Douglas and the crowd that although Douglas had won the match, the Pride of America title can only change hands on via pinfall or submission. Douglas was beside himself as he got in the face of Epstein. Lincoln was quick to pull his protege away, which lead to Douglas having words with Lincoln. Lincoln began to get Douglas calmed down as he escorted him to the dressing area. Meanwhile Epstein thanked the fans for coming out and announced the troupe would be moving on to the Tampa, Florida, area. Epstein expressed a hope to see the fans again some day.)

Wow Mad Kanter! Show 23 was incredible and I'm not just saying that because Cross won (although that's always a plus lol). Got nervous when Robert Roop offered his hand to Cross and also raised his arm in victory. Now Show 22 was by far imo you're finest work yet. Also let alone that Cross won on that one too...titleshot...titleshot...sorry for the coughing I had something in my throat lol. Victor is great - but the whole French Connection scene is brilliant! I'm on my way to Tampa now my friend!

Cross' main goal right now is to get another shot at the title, so as long as he keeps winning, he should get it sooner rather than later. See ya in Tampa.
