I would totally be fine with a Best of Indy sets based on a theme if it means getting wrestlers into our hands instead of Filsinger Games sitting on them waiting for a full sets of something. Since (I assume) most promoters are like me and you cross promotion everything. Heck my current CZW Heavyweight Champion is Tim Donst from the AIW set. For my indy feds I run a CZW, Evolve, Chikara and Shimmer with a set number of wrestlers in each roster. The rest are all put into stacks and at the end of the year I roll up any possible free agents and roll to see if anyone is leaving. If no one leaves then that fed sticks with the same roster for the next year and if wrestlers leave then they can choose from the available free agents I have drawn. If there is a dispute then I make a couple dice rolls along with a bit of roleplay on where certain wrestlers would like to be then figure it out from there. There is more to it but for the sake of reading a lot I will leave it at that.

Although I could have done without the drilldo incident in the 8 person hardcore match, overall I really liked CZW's Cage of Death XX from earlier this month.
I really hope there is a new CZW set released in 2019. Some of the current regular CZW names I would like to get cards for include Mance Warner (current CZW World Heavyweight Champion,) Jordan Oliver (current CZW Wired Champion,) Jimmy Lloyd (21018 Tournament of Death winner,) Anthony Greene (I think still undefeated in CZW? perhaps put the Platinum Hunnies in the background,) the hardcore cop Dan O'Hare, "The Rogue" Brandon Kirk, Mitch Vallen, KC Navarro, Leyla Hirsch, and The Amazing Red (if he ends up staying in CZW past the next upcoming show and does not just do a 1 time appearance like Drago did back in October.)
As for the discussion here on fed based sets vs just general Indy sets, I personally would vote to keep the fed based sets going as much as possible. For one thing, it sometimes helps alot when signing new names to the game, and I can give you some examples: 1) I don't think I would have signed Jay White at PWG last year without the ROH logo on the back of some of the cards I showed him as he was hesitant about doing it (I am not sure if that was due to this status with NJPW) before he saw the ROH logo and even commented on it. 2) One of the biggest Indy names getting a card in 2019 specifically told me right before he signed the release form he was impressed by the logos of CZW, ROH, and EVOLVE on the backs of the cards. I could give more examples too but generally many wrestlers do seem to like the fact that Filsinger Games has licensing deals with some of the biggest Indy feds.
Plus there are already other routes for Indy names who are not in a fed with a licensing agreement with Filsinger Games. 1) Promoter Prime (how Killer Kross and Sammy Guevara got released this month) and 2) possible future Best of Sets like this year's Best of the UK set (Tournament Master at Galacticon last Summer did say to the attendees that a future Best of Canada set might happen for example.) Why not a Best of the US set if the names signed warrant such a set?

Why not a Best of the US set if the names signed warrant such a set? I agree with every thing you said. I love the fed sets, as long as they are possible (EVOLVE ?). Best of Sets, like the amazing best of the UK set last year, are cool too. If having almost all of the bigger Indy feds behind the FG brand helps, why not use that additional signing power. Id also like to see Schlak, even tho I’m not sure if he’s still around. Another brawler guy, who’s card would look pretty cool.

I think it will come down to three things on the fed sets
1. Are there enough names signed to make it an interesting set? There has been a lot of resistance for constant updates of wrestlers especially those who aren't changed that much.
2. Do the sales justify said sets? While ROH for instance sells well and Evolve probably does as well, more niche sets like Chikara and CZW might not be doing enough numbers outside the FG loyalists.
3. Does putting them in a best of indy set prevent logos from the various feds? I would figure no since there's the best of FG set and the various logos as well as the National Pro Wrestling Day set.
In the end, Tom and co. will make the decision that hopefully works best for FG.

I agree with you Vegas on every point. I am saying best of sets along side of the usual feds we have. I don't want to ever change the formula but the Best of UK set was awesome so I would love to see a Best of Canada set next.

It'd probably be best not to do a card for a Neo-Nazi who confronts fans and threatens them at shows for calling him out for being a Neo-Nazi online.
Seems like a bad look for Filsinger.
