LWF War for the Crown: 1. Magnum TA vs. Mike DiBiase DiBiase worked over Magnum for the first few minutes of the match. Magnum got the upper hand and nailed DiBiase with a running forearm for a near fall. Magnum hit the belly to belly suplex for the win.
Winner: Magnum TA by pinfall
A video package aired on the jumbotron chronicling the roots of the LWF World Heavyweight title, starting with its humble beginnings as the LWF Midwest Heavyweight title and then the LWF North American title. LWF official Larry Matysik introduces Bryan Danielson, one of the ringside judges for tonight’s historic match for the LWF World Heavyweight title. The crowd erupted into YES chants and Bryan thanked them. He promised to make sure tonight’s title match was on the up and up.
As Danielson and Matysik walked to the back, Danielson came face to face with WALTER as he came through the curtain. WALTER stared down Danielson before heading to the ring.
2. WALTER vs. Shane Hollister Hollister attacked WALTER before the bell but WALTER shrugged him off and blasted him with a lariat. WALTER unloaded on Hollister and hit the powerbomb for the quick win.
Winner: WALTER by pinfall
3. Tully Blanchard vs. Jerry Lynn Tully took control early on with illegal tactics and threw Jerry out to the floor. Tully smashed Jerry with a steel chair and threw him back into the ring. Tully hit the slingshot suplex but Jerry kicked out. Jerry Lynn made a comeback and drilled Blanchard with a back elbow. Blanchard and Lynn battled back and forth. Jerry got the upper hand and hit a springboard dropkick for a near fall. Lynn hit a slingshot dive, knocking Tully senseless, but the Super Brat made it back into the ring before the count out. The fight spilled out of the ring and Blanchard got the upper hand, slamming Lynn into the ring post. Blanchard tortured Lynn on the outside, repeatedly breaking the count. Blanchard hit the slingshot suplex a second time for the win.
Winner: Tully Blanchard by pinfall
4. Moose vs. Willie Mack - Falls Count Anywhere The former partners tore into one another at the start of the match. Willie got the upper hand but Moose quickly took control. Moose nailed the Pounce, almost knocking Willie out of the ring. Moose hit an avalanche and Willie rollled out of the ring. Moose mauled Willie on the floor until Willie snatched a fan’s camera and plastered Moose with it, busting him open. Willie suplexed Moose on the announce table. Moose battled back and threw Willie back into the ring. Moose drilled Willie with the Spear but Willie kicked out. Moose crushed Willie with a short arm clothesline and made the cover but Willie got his foot on the ropes. Moose threw Willie out to the floor. Willie slammed Moose into the steps and rolled him back into the ring. Willie hit MDX but couldn’t get the three count. Willie hit the frog splash but was too tired to make the cover. Moose rolled out of the ring and dragged Willie with him. The two fought into the locker room. Willie took control and slammed Moose’s head into each locker and made the cover but Moose kicked out. Willie and Moose fought their way back to ringside. Willie hit a Samoan Drop on the concrete but made no move to cover Moose. He slammed the former NFL player on the announce table and rolled him back into the ring. Willie threw Moose back on the floor and slammed his head into the apron. Willie power slammed Moose in the aisle and hooked the leg but Moose kicked out! Incredibly, Moose fought from underneath and made a comeback! He threw Willie back into the ring and hit The Pounce! Moose whipped Willie into the corner and ate a knee. Moose and Willie battled back and forth. Willie hit the Chocolate Thunder Bomb for the hard fought win.
Winner: Willie Mack by pinfall
After the match, Willie took the mic and told Moose he respected him. The two men, both wearing crimson masks, stared each other down until Moose took the mic. He said he respected Willie too. They shook hands to the delight of the crowd.
Mickey Garagiola got on the mic and said they’d resume matches after a twenty minute intermission. Once intermission was over, ACH and Davey Vega made their way to the ring.
5. ACH vs. Davey Vega The Miracle Worker took control early and hit Water for Elephants but ACH kicked out. Vega hit Water for Elephants a second time but ACH again kicked out. ACH rallied but Vega shut him down with a sunset flip for a near fall. ACH battled back and hit ACH’s Big Bang Attack for a near fall. ACH hit a flying cross body from the top but Vega rolled though and grabbed a handful of tights but couldn’t get the three count. ACH battled back and the fight spilled out to the floor. Vega hit ACH with a chair but the referee didn’t see it. He rolled ACH back into the ring and hit a German Suplex but ACH kicked out. Vega hit Water for Elephants a third time but ACH got his foot on the ropes! ACH and Vega battled back and forth. ACH hit the Fatality for the win!
Winner: ACH by pinfall
6. Terry Gordy vs. Barry Windham Windham and Gordy battled back and forth. Gordy missed a charge into the buckles and Windham rolled him up for a near fall. Windham hit the Sweetwater Superplex but Gordy kicked out. The match spilled out of the ring and the two men brawled on the floor. They brawled into the crowd and Homicide attacked Terry Gordy, gouging him in the forehead with a fork! The referee saw it and awarded the match to Gordy by disqualification. Gordy and Homicide brawled to the back.
Winner: Terry Gordy by DQ
Before the two tag teams could make their way down to the ring for the next match, Mickey Garagialo announced that the winners would face The Road Warriors for the LWF World Tag Team titles on the next show!
7. Midnight Express (with Jim Cornette) vs. The Hit Squad Eaton and Maff started the match. Maff overpowered Eaton and nearly decapitated him with a Lariat. Maff hit the Burning Hammer for a two count and tagged in Monsta Mack. Mack hit the Mack Bomb and threw Eaton out of the ring. Mack went for a suicide dive but Eaton moved and the Express took control. Mack fell victim to the double goozle and Condrey almost got the pin. Condrey hit a gut wrench for a near fall and drilled Mack with a brainbuster for a two count. Monsta Mack made a comeback and the Hit Squad hit the lariat/German suplex combo on Condrey. Condrey was in trouble! Maff and Condrey brawled on the outside. Maff gave Condrey an ace crusher on the announce table, breaking it. He rolled Condrey into the ring and the Hit Squad hit the figure four & frog splash combo but Condrey kicked out.
Mack and Condrey brawled all over the ring area. The Hit Squad hit the Figure Four & Frog Splash combo a second time but couldn’t put Condrey away! The Hit Squad hit the combo a third time but Bobby Eaton distracted the referee. Mack missed the suicide dive a second time and Condrey tagged in Eaton. The Express hit the double goozle on Mack. Condrey flattened Mack with a gutwrench and the Express hit the double goozle on Mack for the third time. The match spilled out of the ring and Mack took control. He hit the Mack bomb on the concrete. The referee saw it and disqualified the Hit Squad!
Winners: The Midnight Express by DQ
The two teams brawled after the match until security could restore order.
8. Lou Thesz Vs. Johnny Saint - LWF World Heavyweight title match Thesz and Saint battled back and forth, Thesz’s strength proving to be the deciding factor. Thesz hit a dropkick and Saint turtled up. Thesz fell for it and Saint hit the Johnny Saint Special but Thesz kicked out. Saint wore Thesz down and scored a near fall with the cutblock and folding press. Thesz took control and hit the Greco-Roman Backdrop for the win!
Winner: Lou Thesz by pinfall
Larry Matysik presented Thesz with the new LWF World Heavyweight title. As Thesz held the belt high, Bruiser Brody came down the aisle and entered the ring. He snatched the mic from Mickey Garagiola and challenged Thesz for the LWF World Heavyweight title. Thesz agreed. The two men stared at each other as Mickey thanked the fans for coming.

Lou Thesz vs. Bruiser Brody is a dream match for old school Wrestling At The Chase fans. As much as I like Brody, I've got to go with Thesz.

LWF Night of the Bruiser 1. Stan Hansen vs. Jake Milliman Hansen mauled Milliman for the opening minutes. Milliman got a knee up in the corner and tried to mount a comeback but only succeeded in angering Hansen. Hansen tortured Milliman with a Brazos Valley Backbreaker and brutalized him on the floor. Hansen pulled down his knee pad and went for a knee drop but missed! Milliman took over but Hansen quickly turned things back around and blasted Milliman with the Lariat for the win.
Winner: Stan Hansen by pinfall
2. Magnum TA vs. Nikolai Volkoff Volkoff overwhelmed TA at the opening bell and leveled him with a double thrust. Volkoff tortured Magnum but couldn’t keep him down for very long. Magnum stymied a backdrop attempt and went on teh offensive. Magnum hit the belly to belly suplex for the win.
Winner: Magnum TA by pinfall
After the match, Volkoff attacked Magnum from behind and the Iron Sheik ran down to ringside. The two men put the boots to Magnum until the referee was able to restore order.
3. The Fantastics vs. Too Cool Rogers and Fulton double monkey flipped Too Cool before the bell. They hit the press slam/splash combo on Taylor for a near fall. Brian Christopher entered the ring and the Fantastics hit a double back body drop on both members of Too Cool. The Fantastics wore down Taylor with quick tags. Tommy Rogers hit a dropkick for a near fall. The Fantastics hit the Rocket Launcher for the win.
Winners: The Fantastics by pinfall
4. Terry Gordy vs. Homicide - No DQ Homicide hit the Tope Con Hilo before Gordy could enter the ring and the match was on! Gordy made a comeback and leveled Homicide with a headbutt. Gordy locked on the STF but Homicide wouldn’t tap. He escaped the hold and locked on an STF of his own but Gordy fought his way out of the hold. Homicide hit Gordy with everything he had but couldn’t take the big man off his feet. Homicide slapped Gordy and the big man took over. Gordy mauled Homicide and whipped him into the corner but Homicide got his boot up and regained control of the match.
Homicide locked on the STF, wearing Gordy down until the big man could make it to the ropes. Homicide hit the Gringo Killer but Gordy got his foot on the ropes. Homicide attacked Gordy with the fork, opening up a cut on his forehead. Homicide hit a brutal piledriver on the ring apron but Gordy wouldn’t stay down! Homicide went for a second piledriver on the apron but Gordy hit a low blow and powerbombed Homicide off the apron to the floor!
Gordy hit the Bamm Bamm Slam for a near fall. Gordy nearly took Homicide’s head off with a lariat but the Notorious 187 got his shoulder up at the last second. Gordy hit a Piledriver in the center of the ring but Homicide kicked out! Gordy and Homicide brawled on the outside and Homicide got the worst end of it. Gordy locked on the STF, wearing Homicide down. Gordy signaled for the powerbomb and hit his signature move in the middle of the ring for the three count.
Winner: Terry Gordy by pinfall
5. Marty Jannetty Vs. WALTER Jannetty threw everything he had at WALTER but couldn’t make a dent. Jannetty hit a Rocker Dropper but WALTER kicked out at one. WALTER rolled out of the ring and dared Jannetty to follow him. Jannetty did, sealing his fate. WALTER destroyed Jannetty on the floor and locked on the Gojira Clutch. Jannetty got his foot on the ropes. WALTER locked on the hold a second time but released the hold to prevent Jannetty from tapping out. WALTER hit the powerbomb for the win.
Winner: WALTER by pinfall
After the match, WALTER locked on the Gojira Clutch and refused to release the hold. After a couple minutes, Bryan Danielson came barrelling down the aisle and attacked WALTER! The two men fought all over the ring area until the police stormed the ring to restore order!
6. Willie Mack vs. Tully Blanchard for a shot at the gold! Blanchard had the early advantage but Willie took control and flattened him with a standing dropkick. Willie went for a superplex but Tully fought him off and threw him back into the ring. The match spilled out to the floor and Willie got the upper hand. Willie hit the Chocolate Thunder Bomb for a near fall. Willie hit a second Chocolate Thunder Bomb but Tully got his foot on the ropes. Willie hit a third chocolate thunder bomb for the win.
Winner: Willie Mack by pinfall! Willie has secured a shot at the gold!
Before the next match, the Hit Squad made their way through the crowd, showing off their front row tickets. They took a seat at ringside.
7. The Road Warriors vs. The Midnight Express - LWF World Tag Team titles Hawk and Dennis Condrey started the match. Hawk and Condrey battled back and forth until Hawk took the decisive advantage after a vertical suplex on Dennis for a near fall. The Road Warriors hit a double clothesline on Dennis, nearly taking his head off. The Hit Squad taunted both teams, giving Dennis the opportunity to make the hot tag to Bobby Eaton. Animal shut Eaton down and the Road Warriors turns pummelling Beautiful Bobby. Eaton made a comeback and peppered Animal with right hands but couldn’t get anything going. Eaton finally built some momentum with divorce court, bringing Animal down. Eaton hit a top rope elbow but Animal kicked out at one. The Midnights hit the double goozle, bringing the big man down.
Condrey and Eaton hit the elbow slingshot and Eaton made the mistake of throwing Animal out to the floor. Animal press slammed him on the floor and tagged in Hawk. Hawk went to the top rope but Condrey knocked his feet out from under him. Eaton hit the top rope elbow but Hawk easily kicked out. The Midnights hit the double goozle on Hawk. Condrey hit a big back breaker and Bobby Eaton cut off Animal but The Hit Squad pulled the referee out of the ring! The referee disqualified The Road Warriors! All three teams brawled until security pulled them apart.
Winners: The Midnight Express by DQ
8. Lou Thesz Vs. Bruiser Brody - LWF World Heavyweight title match Thesz started the match and whipped Brody into the ropes, only to be leveled by the brute. Brody hit a running leg drop for a near fall. Brody and Thesz traded the advantage back and forth several times. Thesz hit a Thesz Press but Brody easily kicked out. Thesz hoisted Brody up and hit the Greco-Roman Backdrop for a near fall. Thesz whipped Brody to the buckles and was rewarded with a big boot to the face.
Brody mauled Thesz but the champion kept coming back. Thesz hoisted the big man up into an airplane spin and might have gotten the win if the big man’s foot hadn’t touched the top rope, forcing Thesz to release the hold. Brody made a comeback and whipped Thesz to the buckles. Thesz moved out of the way and Brody went tumbling to the outside. Thesz took a breather inside the ring and made Brody come to him. Thesz hit a big release powerbomb but Brody got his foot on the ropes. Thesz whipped Brody to the ropes and hit the Thesz Press to retain the gold.

Midnights had the belts stolen from them. I feel sorry for Marty....love him but The Lariat is probably going to knock his head off. Go Johnny Saint.

I think Lou Thesz will beat Willie Mack, but Terry Gordy, Stan Hansen, Homicide & WALTER could all be potential contenders.
