Greetings fellow Promoters! While waiting for Tosterboy to finish the tally sheet,
Again I want to share my idea on how to rate each of matches on my fed. I use the chart that I created for this system. I just want you to have an option besides counting fatigue tokens. This works for me because it has chart to assist me every match. There are five criteria, these are performance, showmanship, technicality, story and fight elements. Each has 1 to 5 (5 is the highest) score rating. At the end of the match you’ll add all the criteria and divide it by 5 and the answer is your match rating.
Example
Perf 5, Show 4, tech 3, Story 3, elements 2 total is 17 and divided by 5 and match rating is 3.4. You can Round it up or down to the closes whole number If you want On this rating I round it down and your match rating is 3 stars!
You can do match rating while playing the match or after the match. I recommend you do this while playing the match because you can increase or decrease each criteria depending on the progression of the match.
Example: the wrestlers are going at it so, increase performance to level 2. The opponent unleashed a finisher so you add again a level to performance or technicality or both. Later you feel that the match is getting boring so decrease the showmanship or performance or both.
You see “it’s up to you promoter.
Match rating
Performance -does both wrestler perform well. Are they going back and forth or it’s one sided fight ? Does a wrestler kicks out from a devastating move?
Showmanship -does the match lives up to your expectation. Is it intense or boring?
Technicality -did the wrestlers perform amazing stunts and moves.
Story -does the match have a story or just plain wrestling. It’s like it started simple but it elevates to a climatic finish!
Fight elements -is it an all around fight? Did they the use all the elements. Like Turnbuckle, Death jump, through the ropes, outside the ring, interference etc.
Also you can rate individual wrestler using this if you want. You just need a chart for each wrestler.
Here is my simple pocket match rating chart. Thank you and hope this help! 👌
