Sometime in late December of 2086:

The three men walked into the conference room and shook hands with those already there. Omega led the newcomers with Star Warrior and Commander Sam joining him.

"Gentlemen." The 52 year old television executive from Earth motioned towards the conference table. "I'm not one to waste time on pleasantries. Shall we get down to business?"

His name was Victor Xavier Cross. Known throughout the galaxy as VX.

"This deal will bring the GWF together with VX Promotions and will make it the most watched sporting event in the galaxy. Whether on holovision or television or virtu-cast, everyone from Mars to Titan will be tuning in every Saturday night to watch the best of professional wrestling."

Papers were passed out and gone over and read forwards and backwards with Omega going over every fine detail in the contract.

"I have given my entire adult life to building this federation from the ground up," he said.

"Of course," VX replied, arms outstretched and palms open. "Take your time. Let me get some people ready for promotional photos while you do."

The door to the conference room opened again and in walked the Galaxian Heavyweight Champion Thantos.

"Sorry I'm late!"

Omega threw the papers down on the table as Star Warrior and Commander Sam stared daggers at both VX and Thantos.

"What is he doing here" Omega demanded.

"He's the champ. The guy people pay to see. He's here to do a promotional photo shoot."

"That was not part of the deal. He broke The Code!"

"You simple minded fool!" VX replied. "He broke The Code. Oh, boo boo. You just don't get it, Omega. Thantos breaking The Code is the exact reason you are getting this deal today! A famous wrestling personality from Earth 70 years ago wrote a book called Controversy Creates Cash. People love villains. People love to hate villains! People will tune in to watch somebody beat Thantos for the belt."

"They won't have to wait long. First shot I get. That belt is mine!"

"I'm glad you feel that way, Star Warrior," VX said. "Because to make an impact immediately, on our first broadcast, January 4, you get that match! Unless, of course, your daddy doesn't want to sign the contract now. Which then we would pull out and Thantos would be able to pick and choose his challengers. I'm sure though, being a fair man, Thantos will give you a title shot."

Thantos laughed. "You have a better chance of having an intelligent conversation with Mutant."

Omega signed the contract. "You are a scumbag, VX."

VX laughed. "Welcome to television, Omega."

The show opens with VX standing next to Solie Gordon, popular Gravity Ball play-by-play.

SG: Welcome to Saturday Night Wrestling. I am your host, Solie Gordon, and we want to welcome the viewing audience to their introduction to the Galaxian Wrestling Federation. And the man who made this possible, VX. Victor Xavier Cross.

VX: Thank you, Mister Gordon, but many people made this possible. Not just me. Legendary wrestlers like Omega and Morpheus. Torin Caelum and Commander Sam. Today's superstars like Star Warrior and Thantos. The Greek Gods. And, of course, the great fans of wrestling all across the galaxy who supported the GWF despite the stupid decisions made by the UFSP to try and kill it. You people are why this has happened.

SG: I understand you have a huge surprise to reveal tonight.

VX: You are absolutely correct, Mister Gordon. About one hundred years ago, on Earth, wrestling entered a new era. Super shows known as pay per views gave fans a chance to watch at home if they lived hundreds or thousands of miles from an arena. The Royal Rumble. Survivor Series. Summer Slam. Starcade. And, of course, Wrestlemania. We will be doing the same thing. On January 26. From the Deimos Intergalactic Arena. Deimos Perennial 87. A chance for those who can't be in attendance to watch at home. On pay per view.

SG: We will be talking more about this and announcing all the matches in the next couple of weeks. And now, let's go to our opening match.

THE FLYING TITANS VS THE EVIL ONES
Another GWF first. A three-man tag match. The Titans had trouble adjusting to the abnormal strength of Exo-King and quickness of Killer Queen and eventually Killer Queen made Lord Nexus submit to the CHECKMATE and the fans in attendance booed mightily.
WINNERS OF THE MATCH: THE EVIL ONES

SG: The Evil Ones are joining me now and, I tell you, that name befits a group of men who would stoop so low as to get robotic implants to allow them to cheat in their wrestling matches.

E-K: These false allegations would get a plebian subject thrown in a dungeon. But I have more important matters to attend to. The Federation Defense Fighters have a rookie in their midst named Massif. So-called strongest wrestler in history. I'm issuing a challenge to you, Massif. At Deimos Perennial 87. Get in the ring with me! Let's see who the strongest wrestler is.

SG: I want to ask you a question, Killer Queen. What is the story behind the rumors that it was you who convinced Natural Man to abandon his partner and quit the Neptunian Space-Croppers.

KQ: You should ask him that question. I'm not one to go around spreading rumors. But, if my new friend Vanity needs a partner for Deimos Perennial 87, then I would be happy to team with him.

E-K: Now, Queen, don't forget our main focus is the Federation Defense Fighters.

KQ: Oh, don't fear your Royal Highness. After all, it's just the Space Crappers. Get it? Crappers? Hahaha. I crack me up.

SG: Oh brother. Let's go to our next match.

THE GLADIATORS OF AETHRA VS INVINCIBLE KRAKAN AND MUTANT
Krakan practically sent Mutant in to be sacrificed to the Gladiators. Massacre pinned Mutant following the DECAPITATOR.
WINNERS OF THE MATCH: THE GLADIATORS OF AETHRA

SG: Brute and Massacre have hit the GWF with full force and are on a collision course with the Greek Gods. But what were you doing, Krakan?

IK: Invincible Krakan!

SG: Invincible Krakan.

IK: Say it, again! Invincible Krakan!

SG: Invincible Krakan. You left Mutant out there to fend for himself.

IK: A simpler mind could not be expected to understand the war strategy of Invincible Krakan. Flying Titans. Invincible Krakan will not rest until all of you are scarred like Pit Viper has been scarred. Speakingof scars, I'll be seeing you soon as well, Thantos.

SG: Let's go to the ring.

WOLF VS EXECUTIONER
Wolf was in control early on but Brute and Massacre came to ringside. Wolf lost his focus and Executioner rallied and made Wolf submit to a face claw.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: EXECUTIONER

SG: An unexpected result there.

E: Who is the real Master of the Face Claw? I am!

SG: Before we go to our main event, let us have a quick look at the history between Star Warrior and Thantos.

A video package runs to show Omega as Galaxian Heavyweight Champion, Star Warrior and Cosmos as a tag team, Sin carving the face of Cosmos with an ice pick, Cosmos returning to the ring calling himself Thantos, Thantos destroying the plaque that the Galactic Code had been written on. The video ended with Thantos beating Omega for the Galaxian Heavyweight Championship.

Star Warrior scored the pin with the NOVA LAUNCH.

SG: Star Warrior did it! Star Warrior did it!

Hero wrestlers came from the back to congratulate the new champion as Thantos stood outside the ring, staring at his arch-nemesis.

The show opens with a pre-recorded promo from Thantos.

T: So, you have done it. You have reached the pinnacle of this sport. You have won the Galaxian Heavyweight Championship. But have you asked yourself, Star Warrior, what happens now? Have you looked at Commander Sam or even your own father and wondered if he is now bitter that you have the belt he held for over a decade? Have you, Star Warrior, realised that it's lonely at the top? Don't worry my former friend. You won't be lonely for long. I have opted to invoke my rematch clause at Deimos Perennial 87. Then you will get to join your daddy as nothing more than a jealous ex-champion.

The scene shifted to Solie Gordon.

SG: Welcome Saturday Night Wrestling. I'm Solie Gordon and you just heard that Star Warrior will defend the Galaxian Heavyweight Championship against Thantos at Deimos Perennial 87. But, tonight, Star Warrior faces this man. Invincible Krakan.

IK: Thantos. You are welcome. The condition I leave Star Warrior in, the belt will be yours on a silver platter. But then Thantos. You will owe your reign to Invincible Krakan. And Invincible Krakan will take the title from you.

SG: And now I am being joined by Natural Man.

NM: I am here to clear my name, Mister Gordon. This has all been a big misunderstanding. I have not left the Neptunian Space-Croppers. I still have their back. I just hope I get a chance to prove it.

SG: Your partners are in the first match and let's go to the ring.

THE NEPTUNIAN SPACE-CROPPERS VS EXECUTIONER AND GHENGIS KHAN
During the match, Killer Queen came to the ring. Natural Man intervened and kept Killer Queen at bay. But, then, as the referee had his back turned, Natural Man gave an illegal foreign object to Executioner. Executioner nailed Beast-Rider with it to score the 1-2-3.
WINNERS OF THE MATCH: EXECUTIONER AND GHENGIS KHAN

SG: Natural Man! What did I just see?

V: There is no such thing as Natural Man! My name is Vanity and I am The Most Beautiful Specimen in the Galaxy!

KQ: At Deimos Perennial 87, the team of Vanity and Killer Queen will defeat the Space Crappers. Get it? Space Crappers? I am so funny I make me laugh.

SG: We have a great match next. Let's go to the ring and far away from these two.

THANTOS VS WOLF
Thantos made Wolf submit to the MASTERLOCK.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: THANTOS

SG: That was a focused wrestling clinic by Thantos. We have the Greek Gods in action next as they prepare to defend the Galaxian Tag Team Titles at Deimos Perennial 87.

THE GREEK GODS VS LORD NEXUS AND PIT VIPER
Lord Nexus pinned Proteus following a karate chop. The Gladiators of Aethra then hit the ring and attacked all four men. The two Titans were dumped out of the ring and then Proteus was laid out by a double DECAPITATOR before Actagon finally chased Brute and Massacre out of the ring.
WINNERS OF THE MATCH: LORD NEXUS AND PIT VIPER

M: Nobody gets a title shot before we do! Greek Gods. At Deimos Perennial 87, we get you two in a title match!

B: And that is good for us and bad for you!

Thantos watched from the back. A smile crossed his face.

SG: Welcome to Saturday Night Wrestling. We are just one week away from Deimos Perennial 87. And, VX is here to talk about that night.

VX: Yes sir, Mister Gordon. We have added several matches to that big show. The Flying Titans will meet The Society of Death in a Three Man Tag Match. The Neptunian Space-Croppers will clash with Killer Queen and Vanity. We will have the rookie debut of Massif as he faces Exo-King in a Battle of the Giants. And more matches will be signed. But, tonight, you will get to see Father and Son team up. Star Warrior and Omega in action. And Vanity and Killer Queen will team for the first time tonight.

SG: Let's go to our first match.

WOLF VS LORD NEXUS
Lord Nexus pinned Wolf after connecting with a dropkick off the turnbuckle. Executioner then slid into the ring and attacked Wolf. Lord Nexus then came back to the ring to chase Executioner away. Wolf then confronted Lord Nexus but held out his hand and shook the Titans hand to a huge ovation from the fans.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: LORD NEXUS

SG: I don't know what to say about this. I never thought I would see those two shake hands.

W: OWOOOOOO! I can respect a man who will stand toe-to-toe with me! But, Executioner! You can't do that. You want to jump me from behind! Let's see you do that at Deimos Perennial! OWOOOOO!

EXECUTIONER AND GHENGIS KHAN VS PIT VIPER AND PULSAR
The young Titan team put up a valiant effort and almost had a win. But Pulsar made a rookie mistake and went for a power slam. Ghengis Khan countered it with a shoulder chop and then covered him for the 1-2-3.
WINNERS OF THE MATCH: EXECUTIONER AND GHENGIS KHAN

SG: Executioner and Ghengis Khan are making their way to my position. Executioner. You heard the challenge by Wolf.

E: I have already beaten Wolf. That mangy mutt doesn't concern me anymore. Ghengis Khan and myself have tag team gold to win. Go bark at somebody else, Wolf.

THE GREEK GODS VS VANITY AND KILLER QUEEN
For the second week in a row, the Galaxian Tag Team Champions were beaten in a non-title match. Vanity pinned Proteus following the PULVERIZER.
WINNERS OF THE MATCH: VANITY AND KILLER QUEEN

SG: That's the second week in a row the Tag Team Champions have gone down to defeat. Multiple teams are making a bid for a title shot. The tag team division in the GWF is as competitive as it has ever been!

STAR WARRIOR AND OMEGA VS THE NEPTUNIAN SPACE-CROPPERS
Star Warrior pinned Beast-Rider following a reverse piledriver. Thantos and ComradeTerror attack Star Warrior and Omega. The Space Croppers get thrown out of the ring. Thantos puts Star Warrior in the MASTERLOCK as the show goes off the air.
WINNERS OF THE MATCH: STAR WARRIOR AND OMEGA

JANUARY 25, 2087

Back in the office of VX. Omega is not satisfied with the direction this conversation is headed.

O: So, that's your solution. Let them settle it in the ring. Let the Gladiators and Thantos sneak attack their opponents, possibly injure them, get an unfair advantage and then just "settle it in the ring".

VX: That is a good enough solution for Wolf.

O: But Wolf isn't defending a championship at Deimos Perennial 87.

VX: Relax, Omega. I already have a neutralizer taking care of the perpetrators of these two attacks. Since they are so anxious for a fight, then tonight, the night before Deimos Perennial 87, they will get that fight. Thantos. Comrade Terror. Brute. And Massacre. Will fight. Each other. In a tag team match!

Solie Gordon welcomed the crowd to the final Saturday show before Deimos Perennial 87.

OMEGA AND COMMANDER SAM VS MUTANT AND GHENGIS KHAN
Ghengis Khan pinned Omega following the TWIN THRUST.
WINNERS OF THE MATCH: MUTANT AND GHENGIS KHAN

SG: This is a painful scene to watch. The man who made the GWF what it is today. Obviously past his prime.

EXECUTIONER VS BEAST-RIDER
Executioner was in control of the match when OWOOOOO! The howl of Wolf had Executioner looking all around. But Wolf was nowhere to be seen. But, a distracted Executioner walked right into a cross body block for the 1-2-3.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: BEAST-RIDER

SG: Executioner is livid!

E: Wolf cost me that match, Solie Gordon! I am going to strangle that mangy mutt!

SG: Executioner cost himself that match by not focusing on his opponent. We have the debut of Massif next.

MASSIF VS INVINCIBLE KRAKAN
In an impressive debut, Massif forced Invincible Krakan to submit to a grinding bear hug.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: MASSIF

SG: Wow! Look at this huge man! That was an incredible triumph over a tough, seasoned veteran.

M: Thank you, Mister Gordon and thank you to the great wrestling fans of the galaxy. You know, Mister Gordon, tomorrow night, I will be facing Exo-King in the Battle of the Giants. If Exo-King had any guts, he would remove his robotic implants and face me fair and square. But we know he won't do that so I have been training with Omega and Commander Sam and we will show Exo-King that cheaters never win and winners never cheat.

THANTOS AND COMRADE TERROR VS THE GLADIATORS OF AETHRA
The match was a brawl and ended when Wolf hit the ring and attacked the Gladiators. Thantos went after Wolf but then the Greek Gods arrived as did Commander Sam and the show went off the air with everyone fighting everyone.

THE NEPTUNIAN SPACE-CROPPERS VS VANITY AND KILLER QUEEN
Beast-Rider pinned Vanity following the BULLDOG RIDE. Renegade then locked Vanity in the SPINECRACKER and refused to let go until referees pulled him out of the ring.

Commander Sam made Comrade Terror succumb to a skullcrusher.

Executioner pinned Wolf following the HEADSMAN GUILLOTINE. After the match, an irate Wolf attacked Executioner and locked on the SAVAGE FACE CLAW until Proteus came out and convinced him to release the hold.

Massif pinned Exo-King after hitting the VOLCANIC DROP. Death Knight then tried to attack Massif afterthe match but he, too, found himself on the end of the VOLCANIC DROP.

Controversy! Thantos pulled the referee in between himself and the champ. The ref inadvertently caught the wrong end of the Running Star Blast. A second referee came out. Just as Star Warrior hit the NOVA LAUNCH, the first referee called for the bell and disqualified Star Warrior. Star Warrior retains the title. But Thantos wins the match. What's a pay per view without a Dusty Finish.
