Pedro Morales passed away at 76 Former WWWF Champion Pedro Morales has passed away at 76 after battling health issues for several years, including Parkinson’s disease. The news broke via Hugo Savinovich. In addition to being a former WWF World Heavyweight Champion, he is also a former Tag Team and Intercontinental Champion which would make him the first Triple Crown winner in company history. Morales won championships in several promotions but most fans would probably remember his time in the WWWF/WWF as a wrestler and later as a color commentator on the Spanish-language version of WWF Superstars. Morales is a WWE Hall Of Famer and was voted into the Wrestling Observer Hall Of Fame in 2017.

R.I.P., Pedro!
So let's see...
WWWF Champs that have left us: Buddy Rogers, Bruno, Ivan Koloff, Pedro, Stan Stasiak...
I guess it's either Superstar Graham (75 years old) or Backlund (69 years old) next on the Grim Reaper's list? *SAD*
I remember Pedro as IC champ in the 80's! I wonder if there were ever plans to turn him heel?
