I just read this online about the upcoming Crockett Cup which had been announced as returning in 2019 last year at NWA 70. I just wish the tournament was for more than 1 day as in the past.
The National Wrestling Alliance and Ring of Honor just announced on Twitter that they will be partnering up for the Crockett Cup, a historic tag team tournament taking place at the Cabarrus Arena in Concord, North Carolina. More details on who will participate in the tournament will be released soon.

I don't know if there's anyone who loves the Jim Crocket Sr. Memorial Tag Team Tournament more than me... if you can't tell by 'any' fed I do.

Well should be fun if nothing else. Probably run a bit better than the last couple Crockett Cups.

Cool idea but I kind of wonder what ROH is gaining from it. The NWA is really only bringing the name "Crockett Cup" to the table, or so it would appear...

The NWA is really only bringing the name "Crockett Cup" to the table, or so it would appear... well, hopefully it's something to build from. If they could get other promotions (more popular ones like Chikara, Evolve, CZW etc), it could turn into a fantastic yearly event. Only time will tell if it will last and become anything other than just a name sake.

My guess is this is an 8 tag team tournament with some ROH vs NWA singles matches as the non- tournament matches.

I definitely hope the NWA can become more. I'd love to see them back with a regular schedule or whatever. I feel like they could do something really unique.

Tonight I am watching Honor Reigns Supreme tonight which is streaming on ROH's website for Honor Club members.
Since tonight's show in in the Carolinas, I was hoping they would say something about the upcoming Crockett Cup taking place in North Carolina in April. Nick Aldis appeared and mentioned the Crockett Cup but did not say much about it other than there will be tag teams competing from around the world.
Instead there was more talk about the upcoming Tag Wars (makes sense as Tag Wars takes place much sooner.) Of all the entries for Tag Wars mentioned tonight, I hope PCO and Brody King win so they will then get to challenge the Briscoes for the ROH World Tag Team Championship at the Anniversary PPV in Las Vegas.
