Replacing Interplanetary championship with tag title

In one of my federation were the rule is that if you are tag team wrestler then you are not allowed to fight single match . Exemption is that if two wrestlers partners are both injured then my have a match against each other or if you were champion going into the year .
21 tag teams in 2092 and only 13 single wrestlers 17 if you include the Managers
Massif is my Interplanetary champion and according to the book he is now teaming with Earthquake as team of Powerhouse.
Should he make announcement that Powerhouse is the new Interplanetary tag team champion and put Interplanetary title on hold for a year

I voted the third. But what should happen is he gives up title and either tournament or top two contenders face off to crown new champion. Then Powerhouse either face top team to crown new Interplanetary Tag champs or they are top seed in a tournament.

I guess Massif will be keep the interplanetary championship and earthquake will be wrestling single matches until massif losses the Interplanetary championship
It didn't really matter massif lost his first title defense of the year to matador
