There are some likeness issues that would need to be worked around but you use their Indy names. The idea is that it’s a collection of future legends currently dominating the wrestling scene. Gargano, Ciampa, Bryan, Black, Omega, Richochet, Steen, Claudio etc..
Imagine seeing a set of these guys who appear on TV every week at a FG table. Makes FG look like pioneers in the wrestling game world having them all signed, and could be a possible bridge to an official WWE game.

Actually I'd buy this in a heartbeat, and agree with Swarm on the balance, we need to bring in more fans. Just make sure Bryan's card is on recycled paper or hemp.

I’m a big supporter of this idea and push for this set ever year. WM features Tyler Black and Daniel Bryan. Both are signed. Both are on TV every week with a bunch of other guys we have signed. Seems like a no brainer to capitalize on this. I realize and respect that loyal fans enjoy cards for guys like Billy Red Lyons and Red Bastian but those guys aren’t bringing FG any rep. We should be marketing these guys on TV like crazy. We should be proud to have signed the biggest names in wrestling like Kenny Omega before they were stars and focusing on them. Especially if we’re putting out multiple LOW sets a year. Even just a Legends of the Future starter set using existing cards for Bryan, Black, Omega, Claudio, Styles etc...no one else from CZW, Chikara etc just guys currently in WWE. We put out color GWF sets with the mind set of gaining new fans but LOW seems to be focused on satisfying existing fans only. I’d really love to see a greater balance there. Financially he makes a ton of sense. Even if some of us don’t buy the set (I would), for the sake of the company, new fans could be brought it. Instead their (Brian, Black, etc.) names are being used to sell far inferior wrestling card games. I’d rather have guys I don’t have already more too,but old Swarm has a point! And we are getting a ton of content each year already, so our feds aren’t hurting for talent.

I mean, I'm all for doing something like this if it brings new eyes to the game. Very few know the actual numbers (Tom, Todd, etc.) but does a set like this sell better than a standard LOW set or a standard indy set? I assume if they thought a set like this would be a huge seller and bring lots of new fans to the game, they'd do it in a heartbeat. And honestly, more overall fans means there's more fans onboard to buy other sets, presumably making more sets/wrestlers financially viable for FG.

I know Tom is sensitive of doing too much to push cards of current WWE guys that could be overstepping any bounds. I could see this sending too much of a red flag, but maybe I'm wrong.

Yeah I can see it both ways and basically selling a WWE set without the WWE label could cause trouble. Perhaps adding some guys who are in AEW/Impact/New Japan along with some of the top WWE names might make sense though.

Perhaps adding some guys who are in AEW/Impact/New Japan along with some of the top WWE names might make sense though. I seem to remember a bit of a conversation from Galacticon around this sort of topic. If I remember right, it was said that they didn't want to release a card of a WWE wrestler in their WWE gimmick/gear... which makes sense. But maybe if those guys took that look/gimmick/moveset back to the indies it might be fine. I don't know.

Doing some thread necromancy again... I agree with Swarm on this. If FG has the rights to make the cards, they should do it. I set of the current WWE/AEW stars with their current move sets and gear would do alot of the game. It's not like the industry is in a place right now where WWE is going to drop the hammer.. they don't have any similar product of their own... I don't think anyone's gear can be trademarked.
The only thing I'd be concerned with it I'm not sure if WWE trademarks some of the finisher names, that would probably have to be checked, but otherwise, I'd say go for it! Seems like alot more upside then down.

I feel like anything WWE is pretty much on lock down. This appears on most of their products: "All WWE programming, talent names, images, likenesses, slogans, wrestling moves, trademarks, logos and copyrights are the exclusive property of WWE, Inc. and its subsidiaries."
