Added to the Memphis Library under the Jerry Lawler folder: Jerry Lawler vs Kerry Von Erich 6/27/88 It is 'title vs title'...Tennessee vs Texas! Kerry was a natural face with a quirky charisma that was still present even after his motorcycle accident had stunted his athleticism. Jerry Lawler was the hometown favorite. This was one in a series of 'your turf/my turf' matches that would lead to their infamous blow off at Super Clash 3. Good layout & psychology make this worthwhile.

SAM BASS MANAGER CARDSam Bass 'Eddie Gilbert Day' Promo DISTRACTOR RATING - 62-4 The opponent has Bass’ wrestler in trouble, so Bass jumps on the ring apron to provide a distraction. As the opponent goes over to chase off Bass, Bass gives him a swift kick to the head with his cowboy boot, knocking the opponent senseless. Bass’ wrestler quickly recovers and goes for the pin. Opponent rolls PIN 5-7 Bass starts yelling something derogatory at his wrestler’s opponent, which causes the wrestler to confront Bass. As the ref tries to break up the melee, Bass, who has a chain wrapped around his hand, blasts the opponent. Opponent adds 1 to his PIN Rating and Bass’ wrestler takes over on Level 3 Offense 8-10 As he sees his man down on the mat, Bass tries to provide a distraction to give his man to recover. But the opponent runs over and blasts Bass, nearly sending him into the first row of ringside fans. The Opponent continues his assault on Level 3 Offense 11-12 Bass decides it’s time for his wrestler to go for the kill and tries to throw his man a chain. But the opponent quickly snatches it before Bass’ man can catch it. The opponent blasts Bass’ wrestler, sending him falling to the mat. Roll the opponent’s disqualification...if no DQ, then Bass’ wrestler rolls PIN

CLASSIC MEMPHIS REFEREES JERRY CALHOUNCalhoun was the main referee for the promotion for many years. Although he was well respected, he was the main "bump taker", which could severely affect the outcome of the match. If any rolls are doubles on any PIN attempts (not counting a successful pin), roll on the HURT REFEREE CHART (maximum twice per match). If Calhoun is knocked out more than twice, roll 1 die. EVEN - Paul Morton steps in. ODD - Tommy Marlin steps in PAUL MORTON The father of Ricky Morton, many claimed that he was biased toward the heels, but it was usually because he would be out of place at the time a babyface would have the heel pinned due to a distraction by the heel's manager or ringside ally. On any babyface PIN attempt, if the roll is a double (not counting a successful pin), roll 1 die: 1-3 A distracted Morton quickly hits the mat to count the pin, but the heel kicks out. The babyface continues his assault on Level 3 Offense 4-6 The babyface gets up and tries to get Morton to count the pin. But the heel has recovered and blasts the babyface with either a vicious move or foreign object (probably the famous Memphis chain). Babyface rolls PIN. TOMMY MARLIN Marlin was the brother of promoter Eddie Marlin and was a former wrestler himself. He was a fair, but tough, referee who wouldn't back down from a challenge, even from a dastardly heel. In fact, the heels often got into his face, which Marlin would sometimes respond with by giving them a big right hand. Chaos would then ensue. On any heel PIN attempt, if the roll is a double (not counting a successful pin), roll one die: 1-3 Marlin counts the PIN, but the babyface kicks out at two. The heel rolls again on Level 3 Offense 4-5 The babyface kicks out at two, but the heel thinks it's a three count. The heel gets in Marlin's face complaining, but Marlin tells him if he gets in his face again, it's a DQ. (If you get this instruction again, then the heel has a chance to by DQed. Roll the heel's DQ) 6 The heel gets in Marlin's face after the babyface kicks out. The heel is irate and shoves Marlin. Marlin then slugs the heel, resulting in total chaos. The babyface joins in the battle and the match is ruled in favor of the babyface, via DQ, after the chaos is broken up

Added to the Memphis library under the Jerry Jarret folder: Evansville Dressing Room Brawl The scene is Evansville, Indiana circa late '87. Long before there ever was an ECW, Jerry Jarrett was commercially adept at marketing garbage style brawling with colorful outside the ring 'mayhem' and props galore. It's Jerry Lawler & Bill Dundee vs the Truth Commission (Brickhouse Brown, "The Singing Cowboy" Don Bass & "King" Carl Fergie (Lawler's legit cousin and former Mid South ref). Look for the toilet bowl & plunger spot.

Added into the Memphis Library under the Joe LeDuc folder: Joe LeDuc vs Rusher Kimura 5/11/80 This match actually took place in the Japan based IWE promotion, but offers the chance for a better look at LeDuc during his prime. Look for Rusher Kimura to be covered in depth in a future PDF Set.
