You obviously need to hang out with mikefortune more. Beer is never a problem when the Hitman for Hire is around. Mike was in the car with us when we were on the great PA Beer Hunt LOL............eventually after asking directions we ended up getting to a store that carried Beer!

I'm glad I don't suffer these alcohol issues Still, it is a great time to hang out while they're kicking back with their drinks, so it's all good.

yeah, Philly is a haul for me too! (Tho not as far as most, Will & Vegas, etc.) Yeah no kidding........Fly how many hours just to get to a state where its friggin hard to buy beer in! Shit, had J Mello driving us around and getting directions just to find a store where we could buy beer! If it's any consolation, over the last couple of years the restrictions on where to buy beer have been lifted, and the grocery stores now have a wide selection.

Booked the hotel and got my concert ticket for Friday. Staying through til Sunday morning. Wish Chikara was Saturday night. Might try and make it after the concert if it’s somewhat close.

Not sure if I can make it this year. Philly is a bit too far, plus it isn't nearly as cheap as it was last year...

I usually have a much longer ride to G-con when it is not in Philly. While the hotel isn't as cheap, it is more convenient to the convention site (ie next door). Perhaps you can make the trip more worth it and take off an extra day and see another place on the way there or back. Hope to see you and the rest of the Gcon clan there and hopefully some new faces as well.

Pittsburgh to Philly is around 5 hrs. To me that is not close but maybe to others it is. It's all in the eye of the beholder. When Gcon was in Jamestown, it took 6-7 hours for us to drive there. I know that there are plenty of people who drove further than us. Also remember that the con isn't in Philadelphia- it's North and West of the city making it a much more convenient drive for most people coming from the West. If you live in Pittsburgh and used to drive to Jamestown, it's probably about an hour and a half further away. It's also right off the PA Turnpike and easy to find.
