Round 1 of the Idaho State Championship Tournament:
Lou Thesz d Dutch Savage with a small package. Dutch managed to kick out of the GRECO ROMAN BACKDROP before Lou caught him by surprise with the quick rollup.
Ric Flair d Jimmy Garvin with a somersault knee-drop. Garvin fought valiantly, but in the end Flair was just too good for him.
Sting d Steve “Dr. Death” Williams with the SCORPION DEATHLOCK in under 3 minutes.
Terry Gordy d “The Million Dollar Man” Ted Dibiase with the POWER BOMB. Ted kicked out of two BAMM BAMM SLAMS before Gordy could put him away.
Round 2 of the Idaho State Championship Tournament:
Ric Flair d Sting with the somersault knee drop. This was a tough, back and forth match with both wrestlers absorbing a lot of punishment.
Lou Thesz d Terry Gordy with the THESZ PRESS in quick fashion.

Welcome to NWA Idaho. Tonight we have matches for the Idaho state tag titles and the Idaho TV Title. We open with a huge battle royal. 15 men will compete and the winner gets to choose a partner and face the new Idaho tag team champions next week!
Mr. Olympia eliminated The Patriot to win a 15-man battle royal. The winner gets to choose a partner and take on the winner of tonight’s tag team title match. Mr. Olympia has chosen Matt Borne.
“Million Dollar Man” Ted Dibiase d Randy Rose with the COBRA CLUTCH
Tommy and Eddie Gilbert d The Blade Runners when Eddie pinned Rock with a Piledriver
Terry Gordy d King Kong Bundy with a POWER BOMB.
Lou Thesz d Jim Garvin with a cross body block as Garvin came off the turnbuckle. Garvin caught Lou with 2 DDT’s but they weren’t enough.
Idaho TV Title Match: Mr. Saito d Marcus Bagwell with the SCORPION LEGLOCK. Mr. Saito is the new Idaho Television Champion!

Sting d Randy Savage with a flying clothesline as Savage came off the ropes.
The Patriot d Jimmy Garvin with THE PATRIOT MISSILE.
Steve Williams and Terry Gordy, The Miracle Violence Connection, are now in the ring. Williams has a microphone in his hand.
Williams: Tonight, we’re gonna beat the hell out of those worthless Tolos Brothers. Then we’re gonna take the Dibiases apart for the Idaho tag tag belts. Once that’s done, the Road Warriors better leave the planet, because they can’t hide the world belts from us!!
AJ Styles d Dutch Savage with the Spinal Tap in a quick match.
AJ Styles stays in the ring for a moment and grabs a mic.
Styles: Dutch Savage is a pretty good wrestler, but I’m a whole lot better than “pretty good.” There’s nobody that can beat me, and if the top guys will quit running I’ll prove that.
Hacksaw Duggan d Lou Thesz with a clothesline as Lou was coming off the ropes.
As Lou is getting up after the match, AJ Styles hits the ring with and grabs a microphone. Dammit, Lou! Why did you have to go and get beat before I could kick your ass! That’s ok, I’ll still fight you, that way you can say you lost to a real legend before you were forced to retire!!
Lou surprises Styles with several blows and Styles beats a hasty retreat.
Rockin Robin d Jazz with a Sunset Flip
Just before they head to the ring, the camera finds the Tolos Brothers getting ready for their match with the Miracle Violence Connection:
John: The Miracle Violence Conn...UGH!!
Out of nowhere, Gordy and Williams attack and slam the Tolos Brothers into the concrete wall head first. They continue the beating until the brothers no longer appear to be moving. Then they head to the ring for their match.
Williams: “They might need to find us a back up match! HAHAHA!”
The bell rings and the Tolos Brothers aren’t even at ringside. The Miracle Violence Connection wins by forfeit and the Tolos Brothers are getting medical attention.
Pampero Firpo d Tommy Rogers with EL GARFIO
Women’s World Title Match: Penny Banner d Trish Stratus with the SUNSET FLIP. This was a tremendous match, both women hit their finishers only to see the opponent kick out. Penny Banner showed why she’s a true champion here tonight.
Idaho Tag Team Title Match: The Dibiases d Mr. Olympia and Matt Borne when Mike Dibiase caught Borne with the TOP ROPE KNEE TO BACK. Olympia never even tagged into the match.

Dusty: “Y’know, when I was a kid, when I’d get in a fight at school, my daddy would make me shake the other guy’s hand and play nice. Well, I’ve decided that’s the way to run things in Idaho, too! That’s why I’m ordering a tag team match tonight. AJ Styles and Lou Thesz will team up against Steve Regal and Jimmy Garvin. If they can get it together and win that match, I’ll give them a shot at the Dibiases for the tag belts next week!
Rockin Robin d Karen Q with a back elbow in under two minutes
Steve Williams d Hacksaw Duggan with a superplex in under a minute
The Love Brothers d Pampero Firpo and the Warlord in a wild encounter when Hartford caught Firpo in the NECKBREAKER.
Terry Gordy d The Mountie. It was a quick match, but Gordy had to connect with two BAMM BAMM SLAMS and a POWER BOMB before he could put The Mountie away.
As the contestants from this match leave the ring, let’s go to these pre recorded comments from The Patriot
Patriot: “Y’know, I’ve been in this business a long time, but I’ve never seen anything like the competition in Idaho. There are some amazing wrestlers here. But the fact is that I’m one of them, and I plan to have gold around my waist very soon.”
Billy Red Lyons d The Patriot with the atomic drop.
Billy Red Lyons grabs the microphone.
Lyons: “People have been writing me off and ignoring me my whole life. Tonight I proved that...”
As Lyons is speaking, the theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey starts playing over the loudspeaker. Billy looks annoyed, but realizes he won’t be heard over the music.
Ric Flair slowly struts down the aisle in a 3-piece suit, with the Idaho State Title draped over his shoulder. When he finally makes his way to the ring, he takes the mic from Lyons.
Flair “I know this was supposed to be your time, Red, but anytime is my time!”
Red starts to protest but Flair hits him in the face with the title belt and continues talking.
“I am the greatest wrestler in the history of this pathetic state. I know that ain’t saying much, but over time I will show you people that I am the man!”
Jay Briscoe d Sting after hitting the JAY DRILLER 3 consecutive times. This is easily the biggest upset in the young history of NWA Idaho!
As Jay Briscoe steps through the curtain into the locker room area, a camera is waiting to catch his reaction.
Briscoe “I did it Baby!. I beat the face painted freak and showed that I’m one of the best around. And I’ll continue to prove that every damn week!”
AJ Styles and Lou Thesz d Steve Regal and Jimmy Garvin when Lou caught Garvin with the GRECO ROMAN BACKDROP. Styles and Thesz showed some decent teamwork but there was a lot of shoving and yelling when things didnt go their way. Next week, we’ll see if they look better against the state champs.
Ric Flair d Ted Dibiase in a non title match with the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. As “The Million Dollar Man” is walking from the ring he can be heard muttering “This isn’t working. Something has to change.”
Women’s World Title: Penny Banner d Trish Stratus with the Airplane Spin
Idaho Television Title match: Mr. Saito retained the title against Dutch Savage with an Oriental Leg Sweep.

Well they let me know they’re back, Jack and they’ve asked for a rematch. I’m givin’ ‘em one tonight! Oh, one more thing, Daddy...A pinfall can happen anywhere in the state of Idaho!
Rockin Robin d Tina Moretti with a TOP ROPE FLYING BULLDOG in under two minutes.
Stevie Richards d Jimmy Garvin by DQ when Garvin sprayed Precious’ perfume in Stevie’s eyes.

Ric Flair has announced that he will take on any comer in a non-title match. If they can beat him, they get a shot at the title. The first person to step up and accept this challenge was Hacksaw Jim Duggan!

The Tolos Brothers d Steve Williams and Terry Gordy when John Tolos hit Gordy with two consecutive FLYING KNEE DROPS. Doc tried to break up the pin, but Chris stopped him. After the bell all four men continued fighting until other wrestlers came from the back to break it up.
Idaho Television Title Match: Mr. Saito d Pampero Firpo with the SCORPION LEGLOCK. Saito kicked out of Firpo’s EL GARFIO and was able to hit his finisher for the win.
Idaho Tag Team Championship: Mike and Ted Dibiase d AJ Styles and Lou Thesz when Mike hit AJ with the TOP ROPE KNEE TO BACK.
After the match, Styles and Thesz got into a shoving match and had to be separated by the referee.
