Anyone going to see this remake?
I absolutely plan to go as Pet Sematary is definitely one of my all time favorite Stephen King books, but probably not this weekend due to all the shows I want to watch as part of Mania weekend.
But I do think it sucks that the trailers have given away at least one of the major changes to the plot involving the Creed family.

Kids (and the high price of movies) have drastically reduced the amount of movies I see in theaters each year. I definitely want to see this. I don't recall if I've ever seen the original though. I feel like I probably did in my early teens but I honestly don't remember a thing about it now. The remake looks solid though. I'm sure I'll see it if it hits NetFlix or possibly rent it from RedBox. I enjoy good horror movies.

When I was at the grocery store on Friday, I saw that Red Box currently has the 1989 original movie (apparently it was temporarily rereleased due to this new version being in the theaters.)

I saw this movie this weekend (I did not see it last weekend because it was Mania weekend and I was watching alot of shows.)
This movie is not the same as the original 1989 movie- the trailers give away one major change and then there is also a new twist to the ending of the movie that I will not give away.
Overall I liked this movie, but not as much IMO as the 1989 version. I thought Fred Gwynne (Herman Munster) was a better Jud Crandall (although John Lithgow also does a good job in this version) and I thought the original movie was scarier (but this version is a legitimate horror movie.) I was caught a little off guard though when I got home and saw I left most of my lights on (lol I never do that before I leave.)
After I got home I read a little about this movie and it turns out there were 5 cats who played Church and they were selected from nearby animal shelters and then all of them found homes afterward.
There is talk about a possible prequel for this movie and I could also see a possible sequel based on how the movie ended, I would go see either one.
