Hola!
Although I'm not not posting results on the board at the mo, I'm still rolling the dice from time to time and have had the idea to run a territory based on Bill Watt's excellent Mid-South. I love how wrestling is at the centre of everything with no-nonsense promos, blood n guts action and a very faced pace story arc.
Legends of Wrestling is blessed with many names who cut their teeth in Mid South, or who were stand out attractions:
Ted DiBiase 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan (Doo-gan!) Magnum T.A The Grappler Midnight Express Rock N Roll Express The Fantastics Nikolai Volkoff Brad Armstrong Plus others such as 'Exotic' Adrian Street, 'Superstar' Bill Dundee, One Man Gang, Tony Atlas, Koko Ware, Lanny Poffo, Bob Orton Jr.
I'm looking for further suggestions of those who had significant runs in the territory, those who would be suitable replacements for talent such as JYD and Butch Reed and others who could 'round out the card.'
Thanks for your help! Joe

Eddie Gilbert and Terry Gordy are two Mid South names not on your list. He never had a run down there of any significance if at all but Bobo Brazil definitely could be a substitute for JYD. I think you have every major Mid South guy we have in legends listed. Someone like Moose could do a good Butch Reed. Someone to sub for Dick Murdoch would be good as well.

Yep, Gilbert had a great run there from '85 and obviously Mid South is where Gordy joined the Freebirds. It's very much a top-heavy roster. I've considered Brazil as a top baby face main eventer in the absence of JYD (although there is a cracking Dog colour bootleg out there,) and this has reminded me how much the game needs a Butch Reed card!! Thanks for your suggestions. Just need a Mike Jackson and Hans Schroeder subs too!

I'd throw in Steve Williams, he can team with DiBiase. Magnum T.A was there. Masked Superstar. Sheepherders.

Let me second the "Damn we need a Butch Reed card" theory

Bob Roop. Precious Paul (as a wrestler).
Andre made the rounds from time to time.

Bugged I forgot about Roop...he had a great feud with DiBiase in the early days of Mid South that led to the great heel turn for Ted.

King Kong Bundy, Rick Rude, Brian Blair worked there as a lower card guy in the early 80s, Ox Baker and Iron Sheik.
