Wrestling's Worst Nightmare...Jim Cornette's worst nightmare...and nearly Michael Elgin's worst nightmare...he was the man to beat...in order to win the tournament...now he's part of Kevin Sullivan's Dungeon of Doom...along with the x carved into his forehead...there's sexual tension between he...and Jessicka Havok...

10.  Bryan Danielson:

Another Dream...Goes Up In Smoke...as Sammy Hagar's song starts off...and so did Bryan Danielson's dream of winning the tournament...it was a true wakeup call for him and he has since...wrestled some one off matches in London...resulting in talking much with and training much from Johnny Saint...

11.  The Wrestler:

He's Lou Thesz...close friend of Les Thatcher's who decided to leave the year 1960...to go back with Les and Phantasy...has donned a black mask in order to not freak anyone out...nor have to explain just how the hell he is now in the year 2019...still pissed that Phantasy doesn't have a sister...

The most valuable wrestler in the 8 Man Elimination Tag Team match between...Dark Menace Forces and Killer Elite Squad...he forced The Equalizer to submit...scored the winning elimination...and returned sole ownership of Castle Island to McDermott...and his underdog Killer Elite Squad...

13.  Eddie Kingston:

After kicking his manager Konnan's ass...in frustration after his last tournament defeat...Eddie Kingston has been training constantly...even making amateur boxing part of his regime...feeling like he went...not backwards...but sideways...under Konnan's direction...he'll never have a manager again...

14.  Jigsaw:

The man behind the entrepreneur extraordinaire that is Mike Quackenbush...Jigsaw's involvement and presence often goes underlooked...especially when negotiations occasionally go wrong or sour...Jigsaw's agility is exceptional...but his skill with a blade...truly frightening...

15.  Adam Cole:

He was definitely in the thick of it...had most of them right where he wanted them...as far as how he competed within the tournament...he was also in the thick of it...being one of the wrestlers in the upper tier of the standings...and a hands down favorite...but you win some loose some...and win others...

16.  Bones:

He has changed his appearance drastically resembling a pirate...as did The Rum Runners...and goes under the moniker of Bones...he is none other than Sly Drury...all three assuming appearances of pirates...from Drury recently seeing the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie...quite apropos...actually...

17.  Claudio Castagnoli:

Putting the tournament behind him...and focusing on the matters at hand...first...The World Championship...a possibility down the line of reforming a team / stable with Chris Hero & Ares...and of course...introducing the other wrestlers to The Swiss Holding Company...and what "we" can offer...

18.  Cheeseburger:

Reticent, unassuming, personable...could all be said about his personality / demeanor, but underneath it all...lurks the mind of a brilliant tactician...con artist...and of course treasure chest cracker...as opposed to a safe cracker...his exploits...quite extraordinary, but that's small time...compared to what's next...

19.  Jerry Lynn:

After talking with Rob Van Dam...Jerry Lynn has had a change of heart...not only is he swinging for the fences...to grasp the World Title...there's talk that Van Dam and Lynn may tag together during the rumored upcoming interdivisional contests...so theoretically Lynn has many avenues open to him...to consider...

20.  Michael Elgin:

Although he won the tournament fair and square...he was cheated out of his Billion and nearly arrested for multiple assaults...Elgin was suddenly approached by not a lawyer...but one who plays one on t.v...named Bob Odenkirk...and Elgin is listening...to how Bob will make this right...if he hires him to sue...the shit out of this...Dark Menace...

Hello all!

I thought I would list the personal rule variations that I'm going to use. So many folks have posted their own awesome methods:


1.  Opening Initiative:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Instead of both wrestlers rolling for the highest number, I'm rolling the dice and adding and/or subtracting the wrestler's own individual Agility and Power modifiers to their roll. The lowest score wins the iniative, rerolling ties. I go with lowest because the really great wrestlers have negative modifiers.


2.  Finishers With Bonuses:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I always thought that under the right circumstances, an Add 1 move could be more powerfull than a wrestlers finisher, (with potentially inflicting two tokens of damage to an opponent as opposed to just one). So in order to offset this, I'm adding an additional token damage to a wrestler who kicks out of or breaks out of a pin or submission attempt against an opponents finisher, thats equal to the opponent's finisher's modifier. (If there is one).


3.  Tag Team Rules:

A)  Offensive Tag Outs - When a wrestler has regained control and is on Level 1 offense, I roll the dice. If the number falls between 2 and 6 then they tag out to their partner, out of a need to regroup. If a wrestler regains a Level 2 or Level 3 offense, (for any reason), then I say they stay in, with the hopes of making a stunning comeback.

B)  Defensive Tag Outs & Number of Team Pin Save Attempts - As an indicator of a teams overall tag team abilities, I add up all of the "tag"s that are present on the two cards, (offensive as well as defensive), also counting each tag finisher as one a piece. Then I apply the team total to this chart:

(0 - 4) - Tag Outs Works - 2 - 5  &  0 Pin Saves
(5 - 8) - Tag Outs Works - 2 - 6  &  1 Pin Save
(9 - 12) - Tag Outs Works - 2 - 7  &  2 Pin Saves
(13 +) - Tag Outs Works - 2 - 8  &  3 Pin Saves


4. Championship Advantages:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When a wrestler, or team, becomes champion or champions then I'm going to lower their pin ratings by 1 and increase their dq rating by 1. I see this as heightened adrenaline that's at work fueling the champ/s motivation to protect their title/s, (with regard to their pin rating). And for the dq rating, I see this as either an over confidence that the champ/s can get away with anything, a situational adrenaline rush or the cheap method to hold onto a title.


5. Special Note on the Medieval / Hardcore Division:

All of the wrestlers within this division are going to be privy to a rule I've never used before.

A).  Due to the nature and style of this division being so savage and brutal, all of the wrestlers will be using their cage ratings instead of pin ratings when wrestling against opponents within this division. If per chance their cage rating is worse than their cage ratings, then they will continue to just use their standard pin ratings. They know who they are and what they are and aren't capable of.


6. Another Special Note: The Equalizer:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
As it stands right now, if you are a wrestler in The World Championship Division, you may be matched up against The Equalizer. If you can beat him then you automatically become the number one contender for the upcoming, next rounds World Championship Title Match.


Booking Method & Structure & Posting Style:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I started playing the game (via the LOW brand), I came up with a method where the wrestlers / teams themselves, earn their own title shots. I leave it up to their own abilities and I structured it so everyone has equal opportunities. The system I'm going to use here is a slightly modified version of it:


1.  For each wrestler or team that wins a match via pinfall or submission, you gain 3 ratings points.

2.  For each wrestler or team that wins a match via disqualification or count out, you gain 2 rating points.

3.  For each match that ends in a timelimit draw, then both wrestlers (or teams) receive 1 point.

3.  If there is a double disqualification result, then neither wrestler gains or loses any ratings  points.

4.  For each wrestler or team that loses a  match via disqualification or count out, you loose 2 rating points.

5.  For each wrestler or team that loses a match via pinfall or submission, you loose 3 ratings points.

6.  In this fed, each card will have 5 bouts on them following this format:

World Championship Division - Opener
Womens Division
Hardcore Division
World Tag Team Division
World Championship Division - Main Event

This way at the end of 5 of these cards, each wrestler or team on the fed rosters will have wrestled exactly once, keeping it fair

7.  These 5 cards consist of what I call 1 Round of Matches.

8.  At the end of the very first 5 cards in the fed (or First Round Of Matches), the wrestlers with the highest ratings face off to determine the first champions. (In case of ties Commissioner Les Thatcher will decide from out of all the winners who gets it aka the dice).

9.  At the subsequent end of each Round, the wrestlers with the highest ratings points get the title shots for each divisions titles on the first card of the next Round of Marches.


(2) Exceptions:
------------------------------

1. Feudes:
----------------------

When a match ends in a disqualification, count out or a double disqualification, it initiates a Feud.

Which in this case means a best of three matches series. The following match being the second (or rematch if you will), is worth double ratings points to the winner and is no dq & no count out. If this evens up the feud at 1 win each then the third match (or tie breaker) is worth triple ratings points to the winner and in addition to no dq & no count, special match of Les Thatchers choice (steel cage, falls count anywhere etc).

(Note:  Even within the Hardcore division dq rolls will be checked as appropriate but only to determine if the current match does indeed qualify as a feud starting match).


2. Champions Losing Their Titles:

When the champ/s loose their title, then they're ratings point total goes down to 0.

I do this to make it more fair. Arguably you could say that; even though the former champ/s just lost the title/s and if their ratings are still higher than the number one contenders, then they still do deserve to be the number one contender/s.

But In my experience I have found that if you don't do this you could have two wrestlers or teams monopolizing the title scenes.

I figure if they're really that good, then they will work their way back to the top of the ratings again pretty soon anyway.

This keeps the title picture interesting in my opinion.


3.  New Posting Style:

As for the posting style going forward, I am really going to be trying a less is more approach without sacrificing what needs to concisely be said.

The format for each subsequent chapter starting with 26 will be:

Part 1 - Match Results.
Part 2 - The Commissioners Office
Part 3 - Entire Fed Ratings and Feud Report.
Part 4 - The Callahan Chronicles
Part 5 - Match Announcements.
