PRESS CONFERENCE ON CENTRA
Magnus Colby comes to the podium and speaks into the microphone.Magnus: Thank you for coming to the CWF press conference of 2115. CWF stands for the Colby Wrestling Federation here on Centra. All wrestlers who sign with the CWF will follow a strict code and it reads:
THE CWF CODE 2115
In order to protect the future of the CWF,
the greatest wrestling federation in history,
this Code has been established.
Outsiders who attempt to infiltrate the CWF
for the purpose of taking over and destroying the CWF
will be punished and expelled for their insurgency.
Wrestlers within the CWF must not destabilize
the Federation or dishonor the integrity of the sport.
This Code will be enforced as is seen lit.
Every week we will be broadcasting a weekly show called Showdown from Club Aladdin mega sports stadium on Centra. If you look up, you can see a marquee billboard with the shows title on it. The CWF will be having Live Event shows that you will want to see when it comes to a city near you. In fact, there will be a championship division and Champion that you can only see at Live Shows and pay-per-view events.
The Showdown will be live every week and will only premier the main event wrestlers and tag-teams. There will be a tournament to crown a CWF singles and tag-team champions on the Showdown. While a CWF live event singles champion will be crown only at the live shows. All champions will have to defend their titles once a month at the pay-per-view event!
I will be creating a team that will govern over the CWF and be the enforcers to make sure all wrestlers or factions obey to the rules. The leader of this team will be Chaos Supreme, followed up my Mister Centra, Darkest Justice and Theatre of Pain. These gentlemen will be neutral and independent faction to enforce on everyone no matter their aliment to Hero or Villain factions.
Media reporter: Mr. Colby? Everyone knows that your company owns Club Aladdin so isn’t that an issue of personal interest?
Magnus: Magnus Corporation does own Club Aladdin and I don’t think anyone would disagree that the best casinos, best live events, best shows, best rooms or best adult entertainment can be found there. So, why wouldn’t I use the club if it would be an asset to the CWF brand of the corporation? It is just plain smart business! I tell you what, if you stick to media journalism, I’ll stick to giving people the best forms of entertainment.
Star Slayer, Bloodline, Nebula, and Centauri storm into the press conference followed up by Lance At-las and Adam Blast.Star Slayer: We have a problem with you out bidding us to start a wrestling promotion here on Centra! The only reason you have this promotion is because of your corporation’s bankroll.
Magnus Colby waves off the security that was rushing in to escort the six men out of the building.Magnus: As the acting CEO and Commissioner of the CWF, I must say that it is an honor to have these six men at my press conference. But currently gentlemen you are not signed to the company and as you have pointed out we are the only promotion on Centra. So, I will be the better businessman and offer you contracts with the CWF so you can compete in the best wrestling promotion! What do you say gentlemen? I do here that the other rival promotion G- something is offering for less money.
Lance At-Las: We will sign if it means we can compete against your guys and show all of Centra who the best faction really is?
Magnus: My lawyers will draw up the contracts… Gentlemen you must adhere to the CWF code and not destabilize the Federation or dishonor the integrity of the sport.
Adam Blast: When we sign you will have our word on it.
Magnus: I don’t expect anything less gentlemen. Now, as a pre-signing bonus have $10,000 credits on the house each within Club Aladdin on me. You see ladies and gentlemen of the press, that is how you sign six of the best wrestling stars ever on the fly.
Media reporter: What other big-name wrestlers have you signed already?
Magnus: That is an excellent question… We have looked all over the galaxy for the best name talent. We have the marquee player Chaos Supreme of course… We have the son of the legend Lord Nexus… and we have wrestlers from Aethra! But I am proud to announce three newcomers that will be the future of this company and make a huge impact Godsend, Monolith and Infinity!
Two big men crash the press conference. It’s the GWF Tag-Team Champions Divine Perfection!Pegasus: I hope we are not to late for the press conference? We were on Centra enjoying the casino, when we heard you were handing out contracts to anyone with talent.
Magnus: If you two gentlemen are wanting a contract to join CWF then I think some arrangement can be made. But I must ask something of a demonstration of your loyalty to this promotion in front of everyone.
Mensar looks at Pegasus and both nod as they take off their GWF Tag Team Championships from around their waist and spit on the titles. Then walk them over to the trash can and drop them in. All the media cameras catch this on air.Mensar: Is that good enough of a demonstration?
Mangus: I want to personally welcome to the CWF gentlemen! This is proof that wrestlers are coming to us wanting to sign with this promotion and we will represent Centra with only the best wrestlers! Thank you for coming ladies and gentlemen.
