Well once again i am back. Been 4 yrs roughly since i last was playing my fed. Medical issues again forced my second hiatus from the game. So my question is... i was just starting a new legends fed then i seen a few color expansions out... now id like to know how the cards play... and if there is any feds on here ran just using those cards....

I don't run constantly but when I have it's been all color. I think the color is better than the B and W because they have a better sense of balance than some of the early cards where a few were underpowered.

I have all the colour expansion sets and I feel that they are improvements on the originals. And there are also some new names.
However, until all my favourites are released in colour, I'm mixing originals with coloured cards.

The color cards are a must have, every re-release in color replaces its B&W card in my set/fed the old one goes to a little box labeled Retired Cards.
I still use B&W cards for people that have not been re-released.
I find the color cards do play better (might just be my imagination but some wrestlers do better, either that or dice gods like the color cards) or correcting like Troy said under powered cards.

I don't see the color cards being so much better than the b&w cards, other than they are color. So did you think those hundreds of b&w cards were bad before we started getting color ones? Nearly all the color cards have at least one minor tweak to the stats or charts. I'd say pretty much all get at least a slight upgrade.

Nearly all the color cards have at least one minor tweak to the stats or charts. I'd say pretty much all get at least a slight upgrade. I don't think anyone is saying the B&W cards are/were bad. In my old fed the B&W Harley Race, Nick Bockwinkle, Dallas Page, Gorgeous George, Johnny Valentine, Magnum TA, and Larry Zbysko for example were all under performers, Race started as my initial champ but became a low card jobber with a massive loss rate, none of them rose to main event status. Hence why I said might be my imagination, the fed was dominated by Randy Savage as a 12 time World Champ, Ted Dibiase was a major force, Lou Thesz, King Kong Bundy, Greg Valentine, Frank Gotch, Mil Marscaras, and even S.D. Jones got some main event status for a bit. Its just how the dice rolled, newer versions of the cards just have been doing massively better for me. I could most likely go back and re-roll my old fed and it be completely opposite, one the reason I love reading other peoples Feds to see how it turns out for them.

I would say if you are coming back and looking to start over then between just the Legends sets and the Promoter Prime subscription service you are going to have quite the roster. Eventually I am sure all the old black and white sets will see their day in colour. But until then some of us who have been collecting both are just mixing them. I haven't seen much difference in play other than I feel that as cards get "upgraded" to colour they are also getting tweaked to maybe fix things after years of folks playing these cards. If a new edition allows for some cards to be adjusted then all the better but the changes are subtle and in some instances needed. At the end of the day the dice (which I refer to as "The Powers That Be") will ultimately decide who wins or loses.
So welcome back to the game and starting over with just the colour cards is no problem at all. It is a nice way to return to the game honestly.

I have officially shoeboxed my B & W cards and gone strictly with the colour cards for my Maple Leaf Wrestling fed. Good balance of cards to chose from.
Welcome back to the game.
