home now for tonight's show, some quick results:
For the first time since 2016, I got to talk to TJ Perkins tonight and he autographed my copy of his card.
- Suede Thompson won the annual Nick Bockwinkel Memorial battle royal
- TJ Perkins vs Douglas James ended in a time limit draw
- Shogun Jones defeated Kenny King by countout after Shogun Jones got away with using his sword on Kenny King
- Graves won the annual Cash in the Case ladder match (FSW's version of Money in the Bank)
- Funnybone defeated Sinn Bodhi in a Heaven or Hell match (bascially a casket match with weapons)
- Hammerstone defeated Sefa Fatu for the Nevada State Championship after Graves got involved and turned heel to help his former tag team partner (Gods of War) Hammerstone win the match
- FSW Tag Team Champions One Percent (Royce Isaacs and Jorel Nelson) retained over the Soul Burners. But then Hammerstone and Graves attacked the One Percent and Graves cashed in the case he won in the Cash in the Case ladder match from earlier tonight and Hammerstone and Graves became the new FSW Tag Team Champions.
- FSW Champion Chris Bey pinned Killer Kross in a no holds barred match
- afterward, Austin Aries (he lives here in Las Vegas) appeared and confronted Killer Kross who was part of Austin's stable in Impact until Aries left at Bound for Glory. I think this is the first time Aries and Kross have been in the same ring together since Bound for Glory? Then former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir appeared and Aries told Kross that Mir will be Kross's opponent at the next FSW show (Natural Born Killers- it will be like GCW's Bloodsport) on July 5th and Aries will be in the corner for Mir!
This show was definitely worth $20 to attend live! While PWG is my favorite show to attend live and GCW is my favorite show to watch online, FSW is the fed I have attended the most shows for period and I am glad to see them currently doing so well (standing room only tonight at Sam's Town!) It was through FSW where I first met some of my most important friends today such as Alex, Ofi, Bryan- he refereed multiple matches tonight, and Danny. I have been going to FSW since it first started 10 years ago in 2009 and I hope to still be going to FSW in 10 more years in 2029.
This was Show #32 for me of 2019, Show #33 will be this Thursday as I have a ticket to Bar Wrestling's sold out 2 year anniversary show in California.
