I just haven't really enjoyed AEW. I was somewhat pissed, however, that Best Friends didn't beat Omega/Page. Jim Cornette’s rant on that match was entertaining.

I don't miss Riho... she's decent in the ring, but using her as an overwelming underdog against people twice her side gets old fast.
I really don't get what they're doing with Omega/Page... why have Page act how he's acting if it's not for a turn? It's gone on WAY too long. If Inner Circleis going to feud with Best Friends, why not turn Page and have him allign with FTR to feud with the Elite? that'd be fun.
I'm fine with Cody as a tweener, and a bit off to the side from the Elite... it works, and I could see it setting up good feuds later.... Cody/Omega for instance.
At the moment, they're lacking good heels... every one they build up they take down too quickly (Brodie and Archer come to mind). Maybe when Murder Triangle (awful name) come back? Colt can re-boost the Dark Order maybe.
Or get Christopher Daniels out of that stupid pretend uniform...he's kinda old and unintimidating to be a top heel now though.

I have to agree with Magnum on this ... I really want AEW to succeed but I feel like there’s some elements there shooting themselves in the foot on so to speak.
I think they should have had Jericho hold the title for a long time and kind of build the title up as a big heel. Nyla I think could have been big but they did wrong and kind of agree with Cornette on what they should have done there.
Pieces are there but there trying to beta WWE by doing things similar to WWE. Do different things like adding a trios title or good wrestling. Comedy is good but it’s gotta be believable ...

Good wrestling they have plenty of.., if you like the currently wrestling style, AEW has the best workers IMO. It's the story telling and booking logic they're a bit short on atm... I think that comes from having talent book though.
I think if you have someone like JR (heck, isn't Heyman unemployed right now?) in charge, who is a bit removed, it works alot better. Even better, have someone NEW be in charge and bring in some fresh ideas

Yeah sorry that’s not what I meant there with the wrestling comment ... I kind of wish they had done something like MLW did or like you had with the Inner Circle and what there doing with Darby. Like a just in case you don’t know who this is here some promo packages. I think it worked really well for ECW when you give someone 2 minutes and let them do there thing.
I think a big advantage AEW has over WWE is it feel less scripted. It’s pro wrestling not a tv show, let the performers do there thing. Scripting has never made someone successful.

It's not Dynamite related but it is AEW related. Brian Pillman Jr. is on Dark tonight.

I like them using the old guys a bit, but do we really need Arn Anderson to play Bill Belichick? I thought he was playing Andy Reid... Ditka was the inspiration for the sweater vest & clipboard. He mentioned it came from Tony Khan. Said he had no problem w it, but never wore one before that.

So I'm watching Wednesday's show.. why did I just watch Lance Archer struggle to beat Joey Janela??? That's not how you build a monster heel.
Also, I'm not sure I like the tag titles always starting the show. On the one hand, I get it... grab people to start the show, and these tag matches often steal the show. But on the other hand, it kinda makes it feel less important when the tag titles open and the show and there are others later on.

Outside of WWE, there aren’t many places where Joey Janela gets squashed by Lance Archer. There are guys on Dark for that. They are showing the resiliency of the character. The whole guys dead but he somehow kicked out. Lance still looked impressive (& won) and Janela wasn’t totally buried (& it probably helped his character). Regardless what anyone on the board believes about JJ, he was signed as an initial member of the opening roster because they like him and see something in him.
