This is one of those things that every player does a little differently (just like ranking the top contenders). Some players just rate it on their own. But I'm a numbers guy so here is what has worked best for me...
In order to establish a fair system, all Match Ratings will be based on the fatigue tokens that each wrestler accumulates (including the final PIN, DQ, or Countout). The total is divided by 2 and that is your Match Rating.
EXAMPLE: Omega and Morpheus square off. Morpheus hits the TRIP TO HADES twice on Omega (2), while Omega throws Morpheus out of the ring where Morpheus sustains an “Add 1” from a possible Countout (1). Omega then hits a surprise Indian Death Lock and goes for a submission (1). Although Morpheus escapes, Omega quickly hits the TOMAHAWK THRUST and gets the pin (1). The total fatigue points accumulated in this match is 5. Divide that 5 by 2 and you end up with a **1/2 Match Rating.
Tag Team matches and Triple Threat matches are divided by 2 as well. Battle Royals automatically get ** unless something would occur to change your mind For Elimination Matches, treat each fall as a separate match. For Special Matches in which a PIN Rating of 12 is necessary for the win, use your own judgment when determining the Match Rating.
For all title matches, add 2 to the fatigue total BEFORE you divide by 2. For all feud matches, add 1 to the fatigue total BEFORE you divide by 2.
