I'm always a little conflicted on how to handle house shows. On the one hand this is pro wrestling federation so you'd think their would be house shows the way we know them. On the other hand the GWF is a shoot so maybe it makes more sense to treat it like the UFC and have every event be a pay per view style, understanding you'll have some supercards and other more normal cards.
I'd like to run a house show circuit but then you could easily have 200 cards per game year, which seems excessive.

Everyone runs their fed differently. I divide my game year into 6 "sections". Each section has 5 cards, so 30 cards per game year. I play Early Classics at the moment so I only have one annual PPV, but as my fed moves into the 2080s I will add more PPVs. By the time I reach 2086 every 5th card of the section will be a PPV. The other cards are more like Nitro/Raw. No house shows, but to each their own!

I am running 32 cards so far in my EC fed, which is now in 2090. I figured 30 cards with 2 PPV's was definitely easier for myself and my schedule than trying to do 4 cards per month and PPV's. I also have 6-9 matches per card, try to get everyone i can on the card. I am now starting a 2119 fed and will probably run the same amount of cards. I already had a 2119 fed started and was in 2121, i was doing 52 cards for the year....however i incorporated the GWFZ wrestlers and had way too many wrestlers to handle (then i also lost 2 of my record books). So i will be restarting again and let things play out.

I am stsrting to olay. First i am doing tournaments and such for belts. Then i am going to have a split brand. I am going to draw randomly and whomever i draw would be in that show. The future cards i am getting will be on Nebulla which is like NXT. Once a Nebula superstar wins then looses his or her belt they get called up to the main roster. I bought the original set and the New beginning set. Everyone else is on Nebula. I am posting stuff about it on Facebook page. If you like to see it let me know and i will add you to the Facebook page

I kind of do something similiar to Bri ... I do 50 cards a year with the last two weeks of the year as being an offseason sort of. I split the year into 10 chapters each featuring four "house shows" and a super card.
What I do with my house shows though is a little different. Using my roster of 24 singles, 8 tag teams and 8 ladies i have enough for 20 matches. Meaning I can give everyone one match over the course of the four shows making it really easy to book and play out. Main events are ALWAYS title matches but i try to divide the matches evenly across the four.

I don’t have a set amount of cards a year. I use the booking sheetz there’s 5 shows a week 4 of the 5 have 7 matches those I run as house shows the other show is tv that has 10 matches 2 dark and 8 tv matches and once a month there is a PPV that has 12 matches. For house shows I normally don’t have interviews or other segments unless I have a reason to.

I use the booking sheets as well but my cards are all tournament based to between 3 0 5 matches per card. Granted mine I started with the 2087 crew so it was easy to run that style and finish the year with 88 cards going into 2088. Just depends on the flow you want and how much fun you have with it really.

4 cards a month for me. So a 48 card year. Every other month is a pay per view. Other than that I imagine the other cards are just the weekly TV show (6 matches). Between pay per view months I make one of the shows into Saturday Night Starslammers which I imagine is very much like the old WWF Saturday Night's Main Event (8 matches)
I imagine that dark shows are going on all the time alongside this, just don't play them. I might write the odd one up but these go largely unreported. In the future I may play a few dark shows here and there and insert them into a game year. Gives an excuse to re visit old cards/feuds. But to maintain continuity I'll never have mega special matches, title bouts or even allow injuries on them. I sometimes report these as fed flashback and make out these cards were locked away in the archives. Unseen by the vast galactic majority til now (kind of like the old WWF classics which I think Gene Okerlund would occasionally host)
