We all do the games as we enjoy them. I just hope that you didn't take my comments as being overly judgmental. I mean, honestly, you bought the stuff so it's your game. I'm not ever going to tell anyone else how to play with games that they bought with their own money. And, really? It's not that weird. All things considered, I've seen others who play that way, too. I'd be interested in seeing how that match/card turns out. Nah, I didn't take any offense or anything. It's all good. Following a timeline is something I struggle with, sometimes. Like right now, I'm in Chikara Season 4. Icarus just won the Young Lions Cup. Arik Cannon has left the Kings of Wrestling (now numbering Hero, Castagnoli, Icarus, and Gran Akuma) and is getting whomped on by both the Kings of Wrestling and Team Fist. He really needs a regular tag team partner, and I want to bring in one of my favorites, Darin Corbin, so I can use the Promoter Prime AC/DC cards. Problem is, Corbin isn't a (semi-) regular yet, and I feel like if I artificially accelerate his appearance, it will be partially because he's one of my favorites and I want to get him into my game. No matter. AC/DC will debut at Season 5's Tag World Grand Prix. I can wait a few more months of game time.

You have a level of dedication and discipline, as TTX mentioned, I could never have. Pretty badass, I must say.

Just had an idea for a fed based on his want to follow a time line. List every LOW wrestler by the year they debuted. Pick a starting point and that's your roster for the year until new guys come in. It would be interesting to see the spacing of how many wrestlers each year. When starting a new year you could break up the entering new guys over the first several months or each Jan. 1 bring them all in at the same time.

I've toyed with doing this very thing but unfortunately I don't have the discipline to pull it off.

I like this idea. It has a strat-o-matic feel to it. I play a lot of the baseball game creating all types of all-star leagues. I will probably work on this list of wrestlers debut year, retirement year as well if possible. No one else has already done it right?

I put together a very slap-dash attempt at it using the Wikipedia list of Shimmer events and searching, name by name, for their first and last Shimmer shows. But that does not take into account activity outside of Shimmer, which will be a factor for me since I will be disregarding contracts with WWE/NXT, WSU and other indies, etc. A list like you described would be a godsend (not a GODSEND) for me. Thank you in advance!

Thank you in advance! To be clear, I mean a list of wrestler's debut year in the sport and retirement if available. Could be done with every card of course but I'm talking for LOW. Not a Shimmer specific list of names. This would be a good place for you to start. Easy to hit control-F and search for names. www.cagematch.net//?id=8&nr=90&page=8

That's a great resource, too, Ty. Thank you!
I see what you are saying with the debut/retirement list for LOW. I'll bet it would be even more useful there. I applaud you for taking on such a project.

I’m a bit late to this, but just to clear up some confusion about who has and has not officially “retired” from wrestling...
Allison Danger had her official retirement match during 2013.
MsChif’s last match was during mid 2014. I don’t believe she has officially said she has “retired.” She’s focusing on family. She came back in an authority figure role on a RISE promoted event in 2017.
Tomoka Nakagawa and Portia Perez officially had retirement matches during 2015.
Kellie Skater’s final match was when she lost the SHIMMER Championship to Mercedes Martinez in November 2016. She had a formal retirement ceremony in Japan shortly thereafter.
Lacey and Daizee Haze both wrestled their last matches in October 2015. Neither officially announced “retirements,” but further matches as wrestlers look to be very unlikely at this point. Lacey came back as Rain’s manager in SHIMMER during 2018. In the future, the plan is for Lacey to continue as Rain’s manager, as long as Rain remains an active wrestler (she just had a baby).
