I try to make every supercard a special event and theme rather than just any other card just with a fancy name and bigger matches. What I have is:
The Perennial: Basically Wrestlemmania
Tournament of Roses: Single elimination singles or tag tournament (alternating between the two every year) with the winner getting a shot at the Galaxian/Galaxian Tag Titles
Game Edition theme: Whatever the game edition is and a theme based on that. For example: Civil War 2099, held on Aethrea, with an Aethrean Ultimate Escape Match main event between the Legends and vanguard teams
BloodSport: All special matches
The two other supercards I have are more generic, looking for ideas to make them stand out as well. Any suggestions?
Deimos Perennial (first big show of the year). Impossible Tournament (4 round robin tournaments w the 4 winners meeting in a round robin final). Feud Table (all hardcore matches determined by the Galactic Gambler wheel, held on Vega). Gladiator Cup (Annual tag tournament) Tournament of the Immortals (Annual Tournament on Kronos) Event Horizon (my bigger summer show) Rigel Royal Rumble (winner gets a Galaxian title shot at Galactamania) GalactaMania (biggest show of the year).
Perennial Launch - Opens the new year... Includes debut performances for most newcomers.
Sure Shot - Features a 6-Man Sure Shot Ladder War (which is my Money in the Bank rip-off).
P1 Pinnacle Series - 5X5 Round Robin with the winners advancing to a final Round Robin. The name of the event is a tribute to AJ Styles and the event always takes place at the Styles Spectrum on Earth.
P1 Fallout - Winner of P1 Pinnacle Series receives a shot at the GWF Universal Heavyweight Championship. There are often quite a few rematches from the series itself as well.
Morpheus Memorial Cup - Tag team tournament.
Alpha King Rumble - Features a 20-Man Royal Rumble style match.
Cosmic War Dance - The final show of the year. Winner of the Alpha King Rumble receives a shot at the GWF Universal Heavyweight Championship.
Planned for the near future...
Battle of Ground Zero - Just like the annual BOLA event held by PWG, this will be a 24-Man single elimination tournament with a Triangle Elimination final.

I have 12 pay per views for each month on the calendar. Galactic Wars and Galacticon are the two biggest PPVs.
Cosmic Rumble (Royal Rumble; shot at GWF Title at Galactic Wars) Extreme Warfare Galactic Wars (Mania) Aftershock War Games (On Aethra; Usually Escape Match main event; Warlord Title) Colossal Collision Intergalactic Bash Solar Slam Hostile Takeover Rage in A Cage Random Violence Galacticon (Finish the year's feuds)
Mine change about year on year sometimes with certain events as mainstays. I’ve lifted names from other feds in the main. At the moment I run 6:
Currently in year 2100:
Night of the Living Legends (Kronos) Festival of Fire (always held on hot planets) Galacticon (my wrestlemania) Only the Best (using tom’s name for the same style of tournament) Fright Night (Halloween event) Team Supreme or Strive to Survive
Can’t remember all but in the past I have had Cosmic Chaos, Rigel Royal Rumble, Carnage on Cygnus, Sudden Death Showdown
In future I plan to do things like the Mega Show, Battle Among The Stars, Extreme Elimination Event, Cage Rage
I’ve also had charity style events organised by the heroes with pre Wrestlemania/MTV style names like ‘The brawl to help them all’ and ‘the Fight to make things right’
Similar to Saturday nights main event I’ve used names like Saturday Night Starslammers and Saturn’s Main Event
I don't really have scheduled PPV or Supercard events in my current fed.
(But maybe I should!)
Only two things come to mind - I did have one card that was called The Six Degrees of Decapitation where in a multi product line fed, 6 Aethrans faced off against 6 other Aethrans in a BattleZone match to decide an Aethran civil war. This was the main event of the card.
And in my current fed, I've only held a long multicard event where 32 wrestlers faced off randomly against each other and tried to avoid losing 3 times in order to stay in the tournament. Until there were only two left and these two wrestled a 2 out of 3 fall bout to determine the tournamement winner.
Great topic - and will have to give this some thought - inspiring ideas!

My typical year consists of 10 segments a year ... 4 minor shows (3 called Saturday Night Showdown and 1 called Saturday Night Shimmer) and one Supercard. I do it this way so it works out that each year in my fed equals fifty cards. My supercard schedule is pretty much finalized at this part with one or two minor changes depending on the era it takes place.
01: CHAMPAGNE WISHES AND CHAMPIONSHIP DREAMS 02: DOWN FOR THE COUNT 03: MEGATOURNAMENT - 32 man single elimination tournament where the winner gets a valuable diamond ring to keep or to trade in for a main event title match at Civil War 04: CIVIL WAR - has always been my Wrestlemania type event so I put it in same spot in this current incarnation 05: SUDDEN DEATH: WAR GAMES - survivor series match ups where the survivors get entered into a battle royal and winner scores extra points for their team 06: LAST MAN STANDING 07: BRAWL AT THE BEACH - 20 man over the top battle royal 08: CHAMPIONSHIP DEVASTATION 09: SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES - is a spin the wheel make the match event, every match is a specialty match decided by the WICKED WHEEL (or in my case dice roll lol) 10: SUDDEN DEATH: DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR - survivor series elimination tournament based on yearly rankings, the survivor(s) receive the FILSINGER WORLD/GALAXIAN/WASTELAND CHAMPIONSHIP CUP
LAW LEGENDS ERA CHAMPIONS (1982) WORLD: Andre the Giant INTERCONTINENTAL: Greg Valentine HEAVY METAL: Rowdy Roddy Piper TAG TEAM: Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane WOMENS: Penny Banner
LAW CHAMPIONS ERA CHAMPIONS (2092) GALAXIAN: Thantos INTERPLANETARY: Spike HEAVY METAL: Star Warrior TAG TEAM: Antimatter & Matter WOMENS: Sniper

I have a few ideas in mind for my GWF game.
October: F-Zero Grand Prix A tournament featuring all of the best in a Round Robin style event, 30 wrestlers in groups of 5, with the top 6 battling in their own Round Robin. The catch, is that any points they've obtained in their previous round carry over to the Finals. The winner gets a chance to face the champion at Total Warfare.
December: Total Warfare: Wrestlemania/Wrestle Kingdom (where all the major storylines for the year reach a climatic conclusion.)
The other months will have regular Supercard events based on booking.
