I love the wrestlers but I've already got a ton of wrestlers so I don't need to add them to my feds. The CWFH wrestlers are a gray area since the original Hollywood wrestlers were official and this is the only way they'll continue.

For my LOW fed, I voted yes but with a qualification. I typically use just the official LOW cards but I will bring in bootlegs for special occasions (for example I have Buddy Rogers vs Ric Flair booked for VegasMania 2, that match was actually booked a year in advance at the first VegasMania.) Ric Flair is my absolute favorite of all time! Could you possibly direct me to the best Ric Flair (in your opinion... most realistic, most balanced for use with official cards)? The set of 80s wrestlers had a character named Jet Set Strutter, which was essentially Flair. I use Strutter and others frequently in my fed.

I don't mix the boots with official cards. I currently use Swarm's WWF set in my GWFZ fed. If I restart a legends fed, it will be just official cards. There was a time when I wouldn't use boots at all but have come around over the years.

I do but usually only the ones that are sort of official. I run only 3 feds so I run them in seasons and have made "free agent" decks for my Indy and Legends cards. The feds all draw their talent from those decks and I fill in the blanks so sometimes they are there for a special match or short term angle or they take on full season contracts with a possible renewal at the end. Currently using Ric Flair and he won my Canadian Heavyweight title. I think they are great for those wrestlers that we may never get for whatever reason and when the folks who work on the official cards do their take on them they are as official as you can get. So yeah I use them and appreciate the effort, money and time that goes into them and for folks to share them with the community.

I absolutely do. There is a wealth of boots out there for all 3 brands and from the outstanding and dynamic (whineup, Swarm come to mind, their boots run prevalent in my feds) to see that are... less concerned on rules, balance and general gameplay. Part of the fun is play testing, trying them out, adjusting if worth it and re-statting if not worth it, lol. I gladly mix high quality boots with my feds, but i do not mix Indy, LOW and CotG (with the exception of my broken timelines angle, bt that was for the purpose of transitioning from black and white to color). I find that if you are selective, there is a wonderful, thriving community for all 3 brands out there. And that is the fun of the FG community, so many different ways to play and none of them wrong!!

For LOW, I use quality bootlegs as if they were official! I run a bootleg only COTG fed with by NDW stuff, but for my GWF, I'm pretty much by the book on that.
Honestly, I miss the late 90s bootleg cards that were so popular. I guess the color cards kind of cooled that market down. I can speak from experience, that printing cards in color can get very expensive.

That’s the CoTG I remember the most fondly. I’d love to see that level of fandom return. There was just so much creative content coming from everywhere. Websites, boards, sets, crazy new matches. So much of that history has been lost.

I use bootlegs in all aspects of game play. Putting together a quality wrestler to be used is a lot of hard work. I’ve learned this first hand with some help from new friends in the community. So why not use these amazing characters to enhance game play even if there only used on occasion.

Although I collect the PDF versions, I don't actually use them... Only because I play exclusively online... There are some absolutely wicked boots out there, but being unable to upload the artwork (which I totally understand, btw - it would create an unrealistic burden on the server and perhaps lead to further issues down the road), takes away the majority of the appeal... Still, I totally support everyone that uses boots in their feds and applaud those who take the time to produce them. ^ This... I used several of the great bootlegs that people from the community were so gracious to share back when I was playing with cards and dice... But with the color reboot, I have gone exclusively online, so I don't really use them anymore... There are some AWESOME ones out there, though...
