... and what's the difference in between the color and black and white sets? Or is the color set just an expansion of the black and white sets? Which one should I purchase? Can I use the charts that come with Champions? Is there a special match booklet? Really want to purchase this set. Been playing COTG for thirty or more years and now looking to expand to Legends. Any advise/wise counsel/thoughts? Thanks!

Let's take this one at a time. The color cards are usually updated a bit but power wise most of the wrestlers are the same between color and black and white. There's a few who are slightly more powerful but no one is going from mid card to main event for instance. Which to purchase? Well get the starter set first. After that, choose what your favorite era or style is. I would suggest Expansion 1 to get more tag teams and then purchase others as time and finances allow. The charts are the same between Champions and Legends. There is a black and white special matches booklet but it's out of print. I believe I'm the only person who has a copy who doesn't necessarily need it. I will always enjoy COTG but I love Legends that much more. There's just something fun to me about facing wrestlers I've watched (or in the case of vintage guys would have loved to watch) taking on each other.

Troy. Thanks for the advice. I think I'll purchase the color Legends set. You are a scholar and a gentleman.

The only real difference between the color sets and the B&W sets are that there's a bunch of guys in the new color sets that didn't have cards in the B&W sets. There's also some B&W cards that likely won't be redone in color. So take that into account.
I don't think that you'd go wrong with starting with the color set(s) as there's a lot of wrestlers available now.
As for Charts and Special matches and stuff if you have a bunch of the COTG stuff you'll be fine with the LOW cards.
There's a lot of interest in a new print run/Edition of the Ringside Companion but who knows if/when it might happen.
It does make me really glad that I got my copy of it way back in the day.
I have been into COTG since my teen years but for some reason, I just enjoy Legends a bit more, maybe.
I think it might be because I lost most of my COTG collection in a move in the mid part of the 2000s and in '09 it was easier and more financially viable to get all the LOW stuff rather than trying to replace all my old missing COTG stuff.

I'm a Legends fan and have, over the years, collected all the B&W and colour sets. My brain is stuck in the Hulkamania era so I only use the wrestlers from this period but that still means I have a roster of 50+.
If you have the cash, I recommend you buy the colour sets then research the B&W sets to pick out who you want.

Brits and adding u to all sorts of words I blame Noah Webster and his insistance on removing them!
