This was a good opening match as both teams managed to get near falls on each other. Rhino made his way to the ring as Corino held Morton, Rhino tried to punch Morton, Ricky slipped out, Rhino hits Corino, Morton tags in Gibson who levels both Anderson and Rhino, before hitting a double drop kick with Morton on Corino for the win!

Corino & Anderson poking and blaming Rhino for the loss. Rhino levels both Corino & Anderson with clothesline’s and then hits each with a gore. Rhino left the ring leaving them laying, looks back gives them the bird. In the back Billy Corgan lets the R-n-R know they are the 1st team of 6, for the 1 night tournament at Joker’s Wild!
Highlights from Cabana/Mack National Title Match from the Crockett Cup event is shown! After the bell rang and a brief stair down, they exchanged a handshake and started the match. Gargano took an early lead in the match coming close to pinning Lethal twice, and locking in the GargaNo Escape. Johnny Wrestling was Getting frustrated allowing Lethal to make his come back and score in a win after two Lethal-Injections!

In the back sitting on a chair in the corner of the locker room Gargano was taking off the tape from his wrist after his loss. Tommaso Ciampa walks up! Ciampa: “ you better get this losing streak behind you! We’re tagging up in 2 weeks!”

Austin Aires is in the ring. I’m here to become the NWA World’s Champion!” Nigel McGuinness interrupts Aires. “You need to come through me 1st!” This brings out the current NWA World’s Champion Nick Aldis! “Next week, let’s have a proving ground match! 1 of you win, you’ll get a shot at my belt, at the PPV! If I win, whoever I pin, can’t challenge for this belt as long as I’m the champion!”
Excalibur & Matt Striker short-sell a 10 Pounds of Gold airing in a few days on YouTube as 2 tag teams will face off for a chance to enter the tournament at Joker’s Wild! Tully Blanchard & JJ Dillon joins them at the announcer’s table! Blanchard: “We’re here to observe this main event! You see Mr. Dillon, secured me a shot at the national champion, whomever it is at the PPV!” Melissa Santos makes the formal introduction after both the champion and challenger made their entrance!

It was a back and forth match, Mack managed to get a close pin on Cabana after a frog splash. Cabana regained control until the match went outside and Mack used his Ariel skills and street fighting skills to gain the upper hand again. Mack was on a roll until Blanchard & Dillon strolled to ringside! Cabana used this to his advantage rolled up Mack for a close pin! Cabana with a Cabanarama and another close call only for Mack to kick out. Mack made another comeback, took a shot at Blanchard outside bringing in the Horseman! Blanchard/Mack brawling around ringside as the referee calls for the disqualification!

Dillon: “Mr. Blanchard & Mr. Windham has something’s to get straight with a lot of people!” Tully Blanchard: “1st of all Colt Cabana, you shine that National championship belt real nice, it’s going to be held by the best after Joker’s Wild!” Barry Windham: “Willie Mack, you don’t like the fact the Horsemen are the best ever in the NWA! Get used to it son, next week, you’ll get beat by the best in this sport!” J.J. Steen didn’t waste time starting the match as he low blows Ricochet, the referee warns Steen about such tactics. Ricochet managed to get some offense going until the action spilled outside and again Steen using a powerbomb on Ricochet driving him back 1st onto the apron, tossing him into the guardrails, and shoving the referee down as he was trying to get the match back in the ring caused the DQ loss for Steen!

After 4 more near falls Aires again used his brain buster on McGuinness only for Aldis to throw Aires over the top rope and score the pin on McGuinness!

Billy Corgan: “Nick, I’ll have the contracts drawn up, Aldis VS Hennig, NWA World’s Heavyweight Championship!” Curt Hennig appears on the screen! Curt Hennig: “Aldis, be careful what you ask for, you may get an Axe for your troubles!” Excalibur: “Hennig and Aldis, this makes for a classic championship match!” Matt Striker: “NWA:High Stakes:Joker’s Wild is shaping up to be a big event, don’t miss it order it on PPV, Fite App, and NWA Ringside App!”
In the dressing room area you see the Rock-N-Roll Express talking, 2 masked men jumps the R-N-R leaving them laying! Matt Striker: “Are these guys the ones responsible for attacking the Kingdom last week?” Excalibur: “Who are they, and why are they taking out the tag teams here in the NWA?”

The match was close as both teams battled in and out of the ring. At one point Gargano was being double team out of the ring as Ciampa nails a dive to the outside taking out Young, Superstar, and Gargano! Gargano had Young in his GargaNo Escape only for Superstar to break it up. Ciampa and Superstar started to brawl distracting the referee as Young enters the ring with a chair, before the referee turned around Young drops the chair, Gargano picks it up, and the referee sees Young down, Gargano with the chair and Signals for the bell!

DIY not happy with the outcome started to argue with the referee as the other team hightailed it to the dressing room area! The two masked wrestlers we saw earlier jumped DIY! The two teams brawl throughout the arena! Matt Striker: “The masked men strikes again!.......Excalibur: “Who are these guys?”

This match has classic all over it! Lynn gave Tully a run for his money in the opening part of the match until Dillon distracted him. Blanchard managed to ground Lynn for awhile. Blanchard’s mistake was when he went outside of the ring Lynn used his aerial abilities taking him out with a Plancha! Lynn almost scored the win after his Cradle-Piledriver, only for Dillon to place Tully’s foot on the rope! Lynn rolls out of the ring given chase to Dillon, Blanchard catches Lynn with a clothesline as Dillon rolls into the ring distracting the referee as Blanchard and Hennig used a spike piledriver on the floor! Blanchard rolls back into the ring as Aldis and Hennig brawl all over the place. Tully and Dillon managed to get Lynn back into the ring for the easy win.

Hennig and Aldis brawled back to the ring, bringing out Colt Cabana to even things out some as he brawled with Blanchard! The 4 wrestlers brawled to the parking lot and onto the street!

During the Hennig/Blanchard-Aldis/Cabana brawl Mack & Windham started their match from the Dressing room area, down the entrance ramp into the ring! Both wrestlers brawled for the last 15 minutes of the show! Blanchard, Hennig, Aldis, and Cabana brawled back to the ring causing the referee to throw out this match as the show closed with all 6 wrestlers brawling everywhere!

I sat down took some time to watch NWA:POWERRR and I enjoyed it a good combination of old school studio wrestling and today’s wrestlers. Hat off to Billy Corgan and his crew, Nick Aldis has elevated the NWA title to mean something again!

You see the brawl between the Horsemen, Aldis, Mack, and Cabana! Then it cuts to a door in an office building that said “The Home Office of the National Wrestling Alliance!” As we enter the office we see sitting at a conference table, NWA World’s Champion Nick Aldis, at the head of the table Billy Corgan, and Curt Hennig with JJ Dillon!
