Hello, I have a big question. How do I use managers in my matches? May sound silly but it did take me a long while just to figure out how to play the game. I've been playing now well over 10 years. I have the ringside collection of types of matches. Like to add 3 way matches too. Plus any help on any other matches would be appreciated, thank you.

I pretty much exclusively play LOW these days, and managers were a big part of things during the era of wrestling that I grew up watching, so I tend to like having them around. To use them properly, I'd definitely suggest that you have the Manager Interference Chart (or some form of it) handy, as otherwise, they might not have much impact on things at all. Bear in mind that with LOW there are a few managers that have their own unique interference charts printed on their own cards. I think there's some with similar charts for other games, too, but that's not important right now. Basically, aside from interfering on behalf of their client(s) once or twice per match (as allowed by cards), you'll also want to make use of the Distractor Rating. You roll that for those moments when you want the manager to distract the referee or opponent during a crucial roll that could otherwise doom their guy. Think of it as Bobby the Brain Heenan or Jim Cornette jumping up onto the apron to get the ref's attention to break up a three-count or whatever. Well-timed (and well-rolled) interference from a manager can really benefit a wrestler or team and could have a very powerful impact on your promotion. The presence of a manager can make a great wrestler nearly unbeatable or even take a mid-card guy (or team) all the way to the lofty heights of a championship reign... or simply just a really good win-loss record. A manager definitely has a lot of potential to add a lot of drama and flavor to the matches, storylines, and feuds in a promotion. But mostly, to answer your question, have them at ringside with their client(s) and have them get involved if things go bad for their guy. It really is up to you as to when they attempt to use their distraction abilities or even blatantly interfere. It's all about timing. I hope that helped, but somehow I'm doubting my ability to have made my point.

Thank you so much for your input. Also thank you for taking my question serious. I never have used the Manager Interference Chart. I have forgotten I had that. I will surely try it out tonight. Again thank you very much sir.

You're welcome! I hope you were talking to me, otherwise, I'll sound like an egomaniac. Managers can be incredibly important in a fed's dramatic storylines, Spider Kid so I think you'll find them useful. I'm also hoping that you get some use out of what I said earlier. Also? Think of how much fun and drama you can get out of a heel who's been managed by someone for a while eventually growing tired of the manager constantly getting them into trouble and turning on them in a fit of rage? Instant babyface turn and automatic heat with the former manager/team! It's a classic story that never fails! Or having the manager eventually turn on their guy for not living up to expectations! They can add so much to the stories.

Yes ajcostello I was talking to you. Like your pics of the wrestlers, very neat. Also is that a picture of Bruiser Brody as your profile pic.? Yea playing this game a while now and just looking to spice it up some. I have used the LOW ringside Companion a while now got a little stale. I have made a few changes in the game to make matches last a little longer. Like when I roll a 1 offense and then a 1 defense and the wrestler 2 has better pw, I go ahead and still roll wrestler 2 on 1 offense. Instead of 2 offense. I have all of the new colored LOW cards, I also have new cards of ROH and Evolve, and some others, cause I love wrestling, but I will not watch wwe on tv, hate what they are doing. Thank you sir I can go on and on, but I'll end it. Thank you again sir for your thoughts.

dazzlingkillmen I've had my charts and things for so long I honestly couldn't tell you how to get it anymore, sorry Spider Kid it IS a picture of Bruiser Brody as he's been one of my all-time favorites since I was a young fan back in the late-70s/early-80s! I also don't watch a lot of the current stuff, but that frustrates me because there's a lot of very, very good people in WWE right now. I just get mad at how they aren't being used right (my opinion, others might agree or disagree so feel free to) As for running a promotion? I've had a lot of ideas over the years... some successful, others not so much I'll be happy to discuss things further with you, though
