Here's what I run in my Calender of Events for my bootleg fed CCW:
Jan. - Freezing Point (high profile style matches) King of the Ring (8 Man Tournament, where the winner is crowned King for the year).
Feb. - Royal Rumble St. Valentine's Day Massacre (All Matches are Specialty, Hardcore style matches)
Mar. - BattleZone - Rival promotion where each promotion squares off in matches, Main Event usually a BattleZone Match.
Apr. - Elevation - Special Main Event - like an elimination style match, Elimination Chamber, or a three tier cage match where the winner moves up to the next level to crown a champion. Stampede - a Tournament involving the Top Ten ranked individuals, where #10 meets #9, and the winner moves on to face #8. Continues all the way up the rankings in this manner until a new #1 contender will face champion at the next PPV.
May - King of the Independent (8 man tournament) where rival promotions enter one individual into the tournament in a winner take all with their promotions pride on the line! Super Brawl - High profile matches with the Main Event being a huge battle royal with championship implications!
June - Clash of the Champions - (double tournament format) two sets of brackets where the champions of each meet in a high profile Main Event. Battlezone: Another high profile promotional battle between a rival federation.
July - Psychopalooza - equal to WRESTLEMANIA style event. G-Con Open Invite: Big Grand daddy event. Multiple tournament set up with any promotion throughout the galaxy can enter.
Aug. - Solar Slam - equal to Summer Slam, high profile style matches. Great American Bash, or sometimes it's on Andromeda. Also could be held somewhere else, in which it's called the Great Galaxian Bash. High profile matches.
Sep. - Backdraft - high profile matches, equal to Judgement Day PPV. Starr-Cade - another high profile matches, using some sort of points system for the individuals to determine who was the "Star" of the PPV.
Oct. - Battlezone - Another top notched Battlezone style matches with a rival promotion. GalactiCORN - An open invitational similar to G-Con, but on a smaller scale. Any promotion throughout the galaxy can enter.
Nov. - T-Minus - High Profile Matches, usually some big specialty matches thrown in. Survivor Series - 4-5 Man Elimination tag matches, equal to the WWF old traditional style. Thanksgiving Special.
Dec. - Battlezone - Another huge rivalry between two promotions with a Big Battlezone Main Event. A December to Dismember - Last big PPV to end the year. Usually done with High Profile Hardcore Specialty matches. Followed up with an Awards Ceremony the next day to crown the best of the best in the year.
That's some of mine that I currently use.
Every now and then I throw in something else, as I come up with it, but I usually try and keep it similar.
GWFZ TERRITORIES INFINITY/BLACK DEATH 2127 "Our Time Is Now!" Coming soon to a Holovision Screen Near You! Stay tuned.

Well, this is an old thread, but since it is stickied I guess that means it is still worth replying to.
GWF: Galaxy Cup (Two tournaments--singles and tag teams) involving all active wrestlers to start the year. Held on Deimos) Galactic War (Io Coliseum, Jupiter) Cosmic Mayhem (Polaris) Deep Space Showcase (Moves around) Starclash (Deimos--oldest, most prestigious supercard) Warrior Village Warfare (Aethra--originally Wardome Warfare) Titan Challenge (Titan--combined promotion with USWF [my CPC]) Galacticade (Los Angeles Sports Arena. Year-ending card.)
Yes, there is some WCW influence in some of these names.
USWF (My version of the CPC): Star Challenge (Invitational Tournaments early in the year. Held at Fire Island, Mercury.) Andromeda Explosion (Andromeda Nebula Pavilion) Universal Battleground (Shrine of the Flaming Star, Aurigae) Interstellar Rumble (Victory Garden, Earth) Centaurus Collision (Alpha Centauri Colonnade) Center Stage Spectacular (Callisto Centroplex, Jupiter. Year-ending card)
GWWF (Women's Fed): Queen's Challenge (Mid-year tournaments. Held at Queen of the Stars Palace, Cassiopea)

I use a 30-card year, with every 5th card being a PPV...
PPV #1 - New Beginnings --> "Regular" PPV with no set gimic. I try to keep the matches down to only about 6 or so. This ensures only the cream-of-the-crop
PPV #2 - BattleZone --> A three-tiered Battle Royal. The Winner gets a shot at the Galactic Title at the next PPV and an auto-bid to the year end tourney.
PPV #3 - Galaxy Clash --> No-gimic PPV.
PPV #4 - Big Bang --> A Royal Rumble-like Match. Winner gets Galactic Title shot and auto-bid to tourney.
PPV #5 - Galactic Gala Tag Tourney --> One Night Tourney for tags. Intended to be equivalent to Year End Tourney, but it hasnt really taken hold. I may abandon it if I have a better idea.
PPV #6 - GWF Year End Tourney --> Will eventually be renamed "Omega Classic" (or something similar). Currently 8-man tourney, auto-bids go to BattleZone and Big Bang champs as well as my two division champs. Remaining spots are at-large. I take past tourney performance, season record, season highlights, season opponents into account when giving at-large bids.
Card: 299 Year: 2085
Galactic Champion: Mimic (1st reign) IP Champion: Hechilles (3rd reign) Jr Champion: Code Enforcer (4th reign) GWF Tag Champions: Estorians (1st reign)
