LWF UPDATE * MAIN EVENT: (IWGP CHAMPION) VAN VADER w/CORNETTE (d) ANTONIO INOKI VIA "RELEASE POWER BOMB" SENIOR REFEREE: RED SHOES UNNO Over the past weekend, the Tokyo Dome saw the main event between Champion Big Van Vader challenge the legend Antonio Inoki with the winner
to fight Ron Simmons for the LWF International title belt later this year. Ron Simmons was in attendance on this night as he was sitting
ringside to scope out his competition coming up. Jim Cornette could be seen jawing with Simmons but once Ron stood up Cornette slinked away
real quick. The bout was a back-and-forth affair, though late in the match Inoki was fighting from underneath after the twenty minute mark.
The end of the contest came when Big Van Vader hit his dreaded power bomb on Antonio as he could raise his shoulder blade before the three
count as the bell rang with Vader winning to the stunned fans in attendance. Many of the NJPW young boys were helping the dazed Inoki ice
off and cool down as Inoki had great difficulty getting back to the locker-rooms. Vader wanted to end Antonio right here and now however
Simmons rushed into the ring and got between the two men protecting the Japanese mega star. Vader and Simmons stood toe to toe as the
program faded to black! |

LWF UPDATE A video clip was sent in by DDP this past weekend (and was aired on the following LWF CHALLENGE broadcast. The clip was Page training at a
local gym in town when the Dirty White Boy attacked him (the security footage pretty well captured the fight!). The two brawled around and
on some of the excise equipment in the area. DDP turned up the violence winning the fight and whipping DWB as the ambush attack failed.
Then 2 Cold Scorpio came in and berated DWB and humiliated him pouring an energy drink all over the downed creatin for good measure. The
Dirty White Boy fled the gym as he cursed the two heroes out swearing, he'd get even (especially at 2 Cold for the humiliation tactics).
Dallas and Scorpio celebrated as they laughed off the thug as the video clip ended. ---WHO WILL REALLY HAVE THE LAST LAUGH THIS COMING

LWF UPDATE Commissioner Woodward and Mr. Hal Chapman are pleased to announce THE BIG BATTLE ROYALE will take place inside of The Omni here in Atlanta
Georgia coming up very soon. thirty men will battle it out as the winner will be awarded a shot at the LWF Championship at the first super
card of the year (LWF FIREPOWER!). Senior referee Dick Woerhel was on hand as he went over the rules for the battle royale, namely, that
two wrestlers start the event from a random draw and every two minutes a new wrestler will enter the ring. Eliminations only occur if a
wrestler is thrown over the top rope and to the floor. This year we are trying something different as if ONE FOOT touches the floor the
wrestler in question is automatically eliminated from the competition and must leave to the Lockeroom's. Two referee's will be on the floor
making the calls as they come. Get ready fans! the LWF's BIG BATTLE ROYALE is coming up! |

LWF UPDATE "TONIGHT THE BIG BATTLE ROYALE DRAW!" The wrestling media and fans alike were on hand at the stylish Fox Theater in Atlanta Georgia tonight. Who would pull the best number and
stake their chances to fight for the top prize in the sport today at LWF FIREPOWER down the road. Commissioner Woodward and Mr. Hal Chapman
were on hand to turn the lottery drum as wrestlers poured in to draw their selection on stage. DDP scored a higher seeding drawing number
twenty-eight (he was all fired up giving the crowd the sign of the diamond cutter!). Which man will overcome twenty-nine other
men in the Big Battle Royale? STAY TUNED FOLKS! |

LWF UPDATE The LWF Commissioner Earl Woodward told Chapman and his Championship Committe that he is worried for his safety when Big Van Vader returns to
North American shores for the upcoming year in the LWF. After the assult perpetrated on him by Cornette Vader and the Midnight Express he
blacklisted the group out of the fed some years ago now. However due to a unforeseen loophole, Van Vader has found a backdoor solution to re-
enter the federation! His lawyers have given him a bit of good news, this backdoor policy only applies to Vader and not Cornette or the
Midnight Express so they won't be returning. (It's now been rumored that several of the LWF managers are climbing over themselves to sign the
biggest free agent in history! will anyone be able to convince the Mastodon to sign him up?). In the meantime, Hal Chapman suggests Earl pay
for arena security to watch over him when Vader is present and in the buildings. This idea seems to comfort the Commissioner as he eases back
into his leather easy chair and ponders what will happen next as the LWF BIG BATTLE ROYALE IS COMING NEXT! |

LWF SPECIAL EVENT...(0/24)...FROM: THE OMNI, ATLANTA, GA, USA LWF BIG BATTLE ROYALE "DDP HAS WON THE BIG BATTLE ROYALE!!" * MAIN EVENT: BBR: DDP (e) DANIEL SPIVEY, HACKSAW DUGGAN & 2 COLD SCORPIO VIA ELIMINATION REFS: TED TANDY & DICK WOERHEL The big main event saw thirty men compete tonight for the chance at Ron Simmons world heavyweight crown coming at LWF FIREPOWER. The final
four consisted of Spivey, Scorpio, DDP and Hacksaw (who was in at #1). In the end all four wrestlers gave a heck of a showing but it was
the
resilient Page that got the duke as the fans erupted in the Omni. A major win in the career for Dallas as he was awarded sponsor trophies
and big cheque after the match. Lance Russel & the Dean of Wrestling Gordon Solie both came in the ring and congratulated the winner.
Diamond is excited to face his buddy Ron at LWF Firepower in the coming months and will put on a clinic for the fans. DDP leaves the two
gentlemen as he races into the crowd holding up the sign of the diamond cutter as the fans follow suit yelling and cheering wildly! |

It was a nail bitter by the end of the match, could have gone in Spivey's direction too lol
