I just got back home to Las Vegas from going to this show in Los Angeles tonight, another awesome GCW show!
After work today, I drove directly to the airport and caught my flight to Los Angeles for this show. If you get your flight far enough in advance, I think it is actually cheaper (and obviously much quicker) to fly from Las Vegas to Los Angeles then to make the drive.
Before the show I got to meet Mance Warner for the first time. I gave him some copies of his card and he signed my copy of his card. Also before the show I bought a shirt from Chris Bey and a pack of GCW's Japan Tour 2020 trading cards. Grill Em All was cooking again at the show and I got the Mance Warner burger- a damn good delicious burger.
The show started with a 10 bell salute for Justice Pain, Nick Gage's brother, who passed away on Thursday. Right afterward I got a text on my phone as I had a front row stage seat right in front of the camera and a friend who was watching the show online said he saw me. It was a great seat, I am going to try and get the same type of seat the next time GCW returns to Los Angeles.
some match results:
AJ Gray defeated Chris Bey
Jimmy Lloyd defeated Joey Ryan
Blake Christian defeated Arez. Christian as usual was incredible in this match. Afterward, Blake Christian said he is challenging Will Ospreay to a match at Spring Break 4 which I am going to in Tampa Bay on Mania Weekend. I can not wait to see Ospreay vs Christian live in Florida!
Chris Dickinson defeated David Starr This match was incredible.
Gringo Loco defeated Adrian Quest, Eli Everfly, Matt Vandagriff, Slice Boogie, and Starboy Charlie in a scramble match
Tony Deppen defeated Mance Warner This was one of my favorite matches of the night. Afterward, Deppen called out Alex Shelley for a match at Spring Break 4.
GCW World Champion Rickey Shane Page defeated Effy in a non-title match RSP still refuses to put the title on the line
Nick Gage defeated Matthew Justice Afterward, Gage was talking about the death of this brother Justice Pain when he suddenly got attacked by RSP and practically the entire locker room came out to chase off RSP. Gage then issued a challenge to RSP for a match at an upcoming GCW show.
After the show, I made 4 signings to the game for a total of 6 signings tonight (also 1 signing before the show and 1 signing at Intermission.) The signings are great names including one name who was in my personal Top 10 most wanted list for future Indy cards. Thanks to my friend Alex (he was working at GCW tonight- during the show Brian Cage sat with him for awhile at his spot at the back of the stage) for going to the back and getting one particular wrestler for me to talk to and then sign for the game.
Afterward, I rode back to Las Vegas with Alex. Chris Bey on Thursday rode over to California with Alex (they both worked at the GCW vs Bar Wrestling show on Thursday night) but Chris had another show in Los Angeles on Saturday night so he did not ride back with us this time.
This was Show #3 of 2020 for me. Show #4 will be tonight- FSW at Sam's Town featuring Alexander Hammerstone, Teddy Hart, Chris Dickinson, Willie Mack, and Killer Kross in what looks like it will probably be Kross's final FSW match as the rumors are that Kross will soon be signing with the WWE.

At first I thought signing 6 names meant we're getting everyone but there was several people on the show without cards released. With the right names it would be cool to get a GCW game release, even if we're getting away from promotion based games. Maybe even a death match set. Gage, Effy, Matthew Justice, Tony Deppen, Gringo Loco & AJ Gray would be the names I'm most hoping for from the show.

A lot of great names on that list, but man do I hope it’s Nick Gage! My CZW fed needs him bad!
