GWF Galaga March 9, 2125
Live: Bastnagelia Theatre, Bastnagelia
Pyro goes off and the crowd is excited for some GWF action. Tag teams, singles, women's, the Intergalactic Championship Tournament Semi-Finals, and the fourth match of the Sudden Death feud, all set to happen tonight. What are the results? Let's find out.
Frontal Assault (Thraxx & Zygon) VS Titan Energy (Tristan & Nitro)
Winners: Titan Energy via Pinfall (Arcana)
Tokens: Tristan-2, Nitro- 4, Zygon- 3, Thraxx- 6
Tristan and Zygon start off the match, and Zygon tries to do some damage, but every time a member of Titan Energy is put on the backfoot, they tag to the other, preventing any real momentum from being gained. Titan Energy, meanwhile, are able to work on Zygon a bit, until Zygon gets a lucky tag to Thraxx. Thraxx is a dominant force for a little while, but Titan Energy wear him down, and Tristan hits Thraxx with the Arcana to finish him off. Zygon tries to make the save, but Nitro is able to cut him off at the pass.
Swarm VS Sly Drury
Winner: Sly Drury via Pinfall (Crime Lord)
Tokens: Swarm- 2, Sly- 1
(Note: Sly Drury used the Sly Drury Commissioner Card)
Sly Drury used his commissioner powers to get an exclusive referee for the match, one that Sly claims will call the match right down the middle. To the surprise of Martial Law doubters, this ends up being the case, but it’s mostly because Sly Drury ends up dominating the match for the most part. The match is short and sweet, well, unless you are Swarm. Sly hits the Crime Lord finisher two times, and gets the 3 count.
After the match, Sly Drury calls for a microphone, and he gets handed the microphone.
Sly: Alright, a certain someone has been causin’ issues for quite some time now, and I think it’s time that he comes out and faces the music. Hector, I know you’re here, just come on out and let’s get to business.
Hector then proceeds to come out on his own, and he enters the ring.
Sly: Alright Hector, let’s make this clear. Ya know more than ya let on. You claim to know my secrets, so tell me, what are they?
Hector: If I mentioned them here, no one would believe me. Isn’t that why you wanted me to publicly state them? Just so you can laugh and deny it? Perhaps I have, photographic evidence.
Sly: What kinda photos?
Hector: Allow me to show you.
Then photos appear on screen, showing pictures of Sly Drury shaking hands with.. The Aethran Overmaster!? Another picture is seen, showing Sly on the phone.
Hector: So, why is Paganax getting a Universal Heavyweight title shot again, when there are others who deserve it more? Did they just so happen to get caught up in tournaments and feuds? Despite the fact that I beat Paganax in the ring in the first round, I was overlooked. Is that, bias?
Sly: Ya know damn well why I’m not givin’ you another shot. You said it yourself, you don’t even care about the title!
Hector: Perhaps I don’t, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have rights to fair opportunities.
Sly: If ya wanna have a fair shot, then you’ll have to go through me. At Spring Showdown, it will be you and me, the Legends and Martial Law are banned from ringside, no countouts, no disqualifications, and no funny business.
The crowd awaits a response from Hector, who just shrugs, before heading to the back.
Hector: Oh, I’ll accept on one condition. If you lose, not only do you give me a GWF Universal Heavyweight Championship match, but I also reveal your biggest secret, one that I’m certain you want no one else, to know about.
Sly: Ya got it.
Hector heads to the back as Sly Drury stands in the ring. What in the world is his secret? Will we find out, or will Sly be able to shut Hector up?
Before the next match in the back, Oracle is seen with his crystal ball and the GWF Universal Heavyweight Championship. As Oracle looks into the crystal ball, he sees a prophecy, no, a prediction.
Oracle: I predict that She Devil and Sultana will win the Women’s Tag Team Match.
Will this prophecy become real? Well, let’s find out, right now.
Women’s Tag Team Action
(Winners will face each other next week to determine the #1 contender for the GWF Universal Women’s Championship)
She Devil & Sultana VS Phantasy & Mother Superior
Winners: Phantasy & Mother Superior via DQ
Tokens: N/A
It was a close fight at first between the two teams, with Martial Law having a good amount of synergy with each other, but Sultana and She Devil didn’t always see eye to eye. It became worse when She Devil and Sultana went to the outside to fight Martial Law. She Devil goes after the legal woman, but Sultana goes after the illegal one. They forgot which one of them was legal, and while She Devil rolled Phantasy into the ring to go for a cover, Sultana was counted out on the outside fighting Mother Superior. This made She Devil angry, and she looked at her partner. Chances are, they are partners no more.
Oracle’s Prediction does not come true.
(non-title)
Nosfera w/Omen VS Oracle
Winner: Nosfera via referee stoppage (Demon’s Breath)
Tokens: Nosfera- 1, Oracle- 3
In a fight that looked to go Oracle’s way at first, he was unable to hit the Sixth Sense or Divination throughout the entire match, but Nosfera would use dirty tricks to keep the upper hand over the champ. Throughout the match, Nosfera would use the outside, Omen, and the Demon’s Breath to keep the champion from getting any offense going. Blinded by the Demon’s Breath, Oracle was unable to continue the match. The referee called for the bell and Nosfera was handed the win.
After the match, Paganax comes out one more time, to lay out Oracle with the Pagan Void. Paganax looked at Nosfera, and the two celebrated in the ring for a little while as Omen watched from afar. Paganax looks like he could easily defeat the champion if the match happened tonight.
GWF Intergalactic Championship Semi-Finals
Anivar VS Coven Black
Winner: Coven Black via DQ
Tokens: N/A
Coven Black and Anivar had a battle in the ring, but Coven looked to get pinfalls when they counted, only for Anivar to kick out. Near the end, Coven Black hits the Diamond Eyes, only for Sleeper Cell to get up and interfere. Coven Black intercepts one of Sleeper Cell before going for the cover. The interference gives Anivar enough time to kick out, and Anivar escaped to the outside. Coven Black follows, oh no! The Sleeper Cell are attacking Coven Black! The referee has no choice but to throw the match out.
The rest of Rogue’s Gallery make their way out to stop the attack, and Anivar retreats alongside the Sleeper Cell. Bishop Hell needs to be ready for his Semi-Final match.
Bishop Hell VS Symbiosis
Winner: Symbiosis via Pinfall (Event Horizon)
Tokens: Bishop Hell- 2, Symbiosis- 5
Symbiosis and Bishop Hell put on a solid match with very little pinfalls, just hard hitting offense. This would normally go in favor of Bishop Hell, but Symbiosis was able to get the upper hand at just the right moment and hit the Event Horizon. He pinned Bishop Hell in the ring and got the three count.
The finals for the GWE Intergalactic Championship Tournament have been decided. It will be Coven Black, representing Rogue’s Gallery, facing Symbiosis, representing Martial Law. Who will win this match? Well, that remains to be seen. However, it will be safe to say that this will be a battle of big vs small, David, versus Goliath. But tonight, we have a main event to go through. Match 4 of the Sudden Death feud is next. Will Endgame bring the feud to a match 5, or will Turmoil somehow end the feud here and now?
Sudden Death Feud Match 4 (No-DQ)
Endgame VS Turmoil
Winner: Turmoil via Pinfall (Triple Suicide)
Tokens: Endgame- 8, Turmoil- 7
Turmoil threw his body at Endgame like it was just a suggestion to not put his body on the line. While the crowd loved seeing Turmoil just pop off, everyone was worried about Endgame. Endgame struggled to keep up, and even though Turmoil had trouble recovering at times, the suicidal maniac made it a mission to go at him with everything he had. Piledrivers on the ramp, Total Turmoil, and even Triple Suicide were all moves Turmoil used on Endgame, throwing caution to the wind and drawing blood from both Endgame and himself. Eventually, he was able to pin Endgame in the ring, without the help of anyone else. Yes, Turmoil, the guy that the Aethran Overmaster has decided to make a tag team wrestler for the Gladiators, beat Endgame in a Singles match. Endgame, the mighty, the legend, a former champion, all of that. Turmoil beat Endgame.
The Gladiators of Aethra have won the Sudden Death Feud.
Now, the Federation Defense Fighters must banish one of their own for the rest of 2125, but who do they choose? That’s a question that will hopefully be answered soon.
